it's 1/80 chance.....considering the odds d3 normally gives us, time to spend some HP/have a reason to actually care about jugg heroic now

It's actually 4/80 chances of opening a 4*. So 1 in 20. Too bad I will not be grinding such a boring event just for tokens that will give me only a chance of opening something good.

2/80 for me to pull anything I need. They really need to tailor Vaults to rosters so we don't get 4*s we already have a lot of, or let you reset at the beginning for free. If it was 3/80 I would buy tokens, and 4/80 would be a no-brainer.

The problem with 1/20 chance of getting the four star you need is that it will still cost you more than what you would normally pay to directly buy that cover. I'm assuming its 200hp per token, I don't have the vault so cant check

I'm confused as to why the discrepancy hasn't been addressed by a red.
  • As a new player of three months, I was excited to hear about this deal. There is a very high probability that all of the four star covers offered would be covers that i don't possess at all. Getting that one initial cover to even hero point up has been a real arduous task on these four stars.

I am a bit miffed that I am not in the "testing" group or whatever is going on and only see the bogus normal offer. This is similar to the fourth july deal, no? So why do some people seem to get an extra holiday special and others don't? a/b testing? The MPQ Santa has canceled MPQ Christmas for some in the name of science. Great. Bit melodramatic, but that is kind of how I feel right now.

$100 to guarantee everything you see? Yes please. Where can I sign up for that?

So far the people who don't seem to like this are those that already have everything, those not willing to agree to a 100 threshold for a vault clear, and those who believe they have a great chance to win the lottery. Can the rest of us get in on this offer now please?

Can a dev please clarify what is exactly going on. Are we all Guinea pigs in a d3 metric experiment or something?

I would rather have not been in the control group and would quite like the vault option thank you.

DPX Black, Thing Yellow, Carnage Green, IMHB Red, Scarlet Witch and KK......Impressive for me. But i already got some of these covers already(not max) so it's better not to spend any HP in this vault for me.

Well, yes. That's probably exactly what's going on, since the odds of pulling the essentials are near-identical to what they would have been otherwise (in a fresh vault). D3 is likely testing to see which way results in more token sales.

Sshhhh... It's obviously quantum testing. Thus merely observing that it's a test is already influencing the outcome of the test. Can you imagine what would happen if they actually came out and told you that it was a test?

I decided to go for the Daily deal token each day hoping for a 4* cover. Doesn't make sense to buy a 10-pack when I can just spend that HP on the cover directly (well, except Deadpool). I did a simple calculation that 4 tokens have a 20% chance to get a 4* and 8 tokens have a 33% chance to get it, but I now realize I did not take into account the shrinking size of the vault, so the latter number should probably be higher.

Even though you jest, the experiment is already bjorked. There is no longer an A and a B group that you are testing against. There is now an A/B/C/D group based on the dissemination of information alone, and this is causing negative spending behaviors among the informed populace who do care which group they are in. The devs should be pushing the vault out to everyone and examining the entire population's spending behavior against previous spending during a post-four star event, like the data they have for the iso-8 brotherhood right after jean's hulk event.

A/B testing has its place. This isn't it. As soon as the test stopped being a two-group test, then your test assumptions are not met and any inferential statistical tests run on this data are invalid.

Seriously, devs. Do not make business decisions based on the data you are currently gathering. You need to revisit the experimental design. The data here are not reliable.

People who do have the vault, bear in mind that its contents will reset every time you restart the MPQ app until you "lock" it by getting a token, either from the event or from buying one. So if you like your odds, maybe buy the daily deal so you can keep them.
Unfortunately for me, my vaults do not reset when I reload or restart the app. I'm using iPhone 5s, OS 7.1, that could have something to do with it. Wish it did work, but not enough for me to update my OS (which needs 4 Gigs free on my measly 16GB phone, which means I have to delete music just to update, then put it back on which is way too much work for me to want to monkey with).

Same for me on iPad, latest OS.
