Edit: In other news, crushed twice in the first wave of the BE today within 5-8 moves. My 2hor was still standing, but at that point? Meh. That's me done with DDQ until tomorrow. I could use the Doom Blue, but not enough to stress about a video game on my phone. icon_e_wink.gificon_e_biggrin.gif

Oof, i've had those days, only on covers i desperately need though.. since Doom was one of my very first max covered 3*s, it started me out with 2x match 5's on the initial board.. one green, with no cascade, then a blue, and the crit tile landed perfectly for a match 4 yellow with 2 crits in the middle, and then the cascades started.. fastest i have ever killed a Muscle..

Finished TBE faster than my first cup of cofee today. I am sure next week, since i need beast and bullseye, i will wipe hard on ninja day.

Jugg solos the 1st node at level 40, you don't need 1 stars for anything else.
I had 1 star IM as a workhorse because he does very good damage until you level some 2 stars up.

Once you get some 2 stars leveled ares, thor, storm, magneto, wolverine, black widow, whoever really (bullseye if you play a very slow strategic game, black 5, green 3, purple 5)

Then its a wild land of collecting covers for whoever you can get your hands on out of the 40 3 stars, who vary from useful on every team to useful in only one setup.

It's so weird that 2 stars seem so much more balanced then the rest of the tiers. (like every 2 star is a contender in some weird way besides bagman but even he has uses where 3 stars have your old 3 stars like iron man, psylocke, punisher, spiderman, doc ock and newer 3s like iron fist, scarlet witch, loki, hood, patch, who pretty much are on the most popular teams, and pair well with current 4 stars, like you won't catch a prof x, x force and iron man 3*)

    I really, really hate Teisatsu (99), Teisatsu(100), Muscle (105)
  • My first attempt yesterday I got to wave 4, but all I had left was 2 x redflag.png from 2* Thor and then I was out of moves. I still had everybody alive but they died pretty quickly without specials. I tried about 5 more times throughout the day and never made it through wave 2. Bummer.

Malcrof mentioned this, but I thought it beared repeating, so yeah, don't forget your Team-Ups.

While I tend to play very differently on ninja days (specifically favoring green for cStorm and yellow for 2hor), T-Us can also mean the difference between a 1st or 2nd wave wipeout and success.

Not sure how your alliance runs, but T-Us like Juggs green and Hood yellow (on the lower and higher ends of the scale respectively) can turn things in your favor inside of 1-2 moves...

P.S. Yes, I did end up beating both of the ninja days I complained about. Never discount the benefit of taking a few hours to chill out and get over yourself after a bad wipeout... icon_e_wink.gificon_redface.gificon_lol.gif

Daredevil team ups as well, radar sense is the best, but a billy club to stun so no turn to smoke, then wait for the cd tile to come around again before killing the next, so no turn to smoke does not hurt either.

I don't need the icon_mystique.pngblueflag.png but run the BE today anyway for the ISO.

Then pulled another icon_mystique.pngblueflag.png from a Taco. Sheesh. I'm way overdue for some HP to drop from a Taco again.

Best advice I can add is to join an alliance if you haven't already. Even just a top 250 alliance will provide a steady flow of hp, iso and tokens you wouldn't get otherwise.

Did you farm AP on wave 3? I try not to go into wave 4 without significant amounts of blueflag.png and greenflag.png AP. During wave 3 you only want to do the bare minimum damage to keep countdown tiles from going off.

I'm one of my alliance's commanders. We're fairly casual and have only ever broken T1000 a couple of times.
  • So, is this the thread where I can complain about Storm/Hawkeye being in the first node occasionally, locking out their 1 star counterparts?

I really want to have a max level Hawkeye Classic again, but being hosed out of DDQ completion made me ditch him for Juggernaut.

I really wish someone would make an IM that wasn't so average. IM35 was good while I was playing through the single player portion of MPQ, but even as that was ending he was seeming less and less worth keeping... and IM40? Ew.

DBC, I'm going to let you in on a little secret about an above average IM. viewtopic.php?f=14&t=28209

First BE win was awesome, and I relied on Thormneto for a long time, almost never dying.

But then I needed to buy a red cover for the aforementioned above average Iron Man, and so I had to cull my star.pngstar.png s, now I just have Ares/OBW for the middle track, but Blade/LCap/Falcon are pretty amazing at the Enchilada.

Yay you're back! Need nothing this week, but terrified to stockpile tokens anymore after losing all my tokens yesterday.

Hey Malcrof, I just sent you a PM as a heads-up about something. Thanks!
