Yay you're back! Need nothing this week, but terrified to stockpile tokens anymore after losing all my tokens yesterday.0

You lost them? Marvelous. I just started hoarding today (no HP again).
I guess I'll risk opening them, considering my history with D3 and tickets...
Side note: As much as I tend to appreciate and enjoy DDQ, it's a pretty good feeling to not need some of the cards, eh? Feels like progress...
Edit: went in and opened my two tacos and a heroic... Oh thank God, I saved my 2* Daken, HT, and Ms from oblivion!
DBC0 -
It is actually nice not needing much from the ddq so it becomes 4400 iso and two tokens. I only need the squirrel girl and hulk covers this week, over the next month I only need 15 covers from ddq...roster is shaping up nicely0
-
Only missing two 3*s and Squirrel girl happens to be one so a day off. That is, unless the taco gets me her from the vault.
Has happened before with the old tacos so fingers crossed but more often would end up drawing the character a day or so after.0 -
I never thought I would be happy to see Squirrel Girl . I'm just tired of constantly pulling her !0
-
I made a forum account just to post that I beat the big enchilada for the first time just now!
That makes my 2nd purple squirrel girl, she has nothing else though.0 -

Big accomplishment! First time i beat it, i accidentally woke my wife, i was so excited lol.
I am guessing you have a decent 2* roster. Just a tip, tomorrow is going to be a rough one, the ninja/muscle nodes. Ask your alliance for some Radar Sense (Daredevil) team-ups, or misc healing team ups, those will give you the best chance at surviving that first wave!0 -

First, welcome to Cody!
Second, YAY. Ah yes... that first BE victory... Good times.
@ Malcrof - I was actually physically shaking the first time I succeeded...
And last but not least, agreement on tomorrow.
@ Cody - In my humble opinion, the ninja days are the hardest BEs by a LARGE margin. Try your best, but if you ultimately fail, just know that you're failing on a day where every single one of my failures have occurred since the first time I beat a BE.
Not sure who you're using, but oh man, if OBW EVER shines more brightly than on ninja days, I've yet to see it...
Good luck!

@ DBC I have 9 maxed 3*s and another 10 at 140+.. and i still wipe on ninja/muscle days occasionally because of a bad board, or lack of blues for OBW, or other reasons..
@ Cody Don't get frustrated. Soon, you will be able to beat it daily. What roster did you win with?0 -

OBW is my staple on every Big Enchilada! And as noted, Ninja days are the WORST! Just remember, stunned ninjas don't generate turn to smoke. Stormneto is a great combo for them. If you can use Wind Storm even on a ninja that has 100 health, you'll stun him before killing him which doesn't allow turn to smoke.
I usually fail with my go to team once or twice before just going with Stormneto+OBW combo. Even though there's no active black or yellow and a lot of overlapping powers, it can be surprisingly effective.0 -
Thanks for the support!
I won with:
Level 94 - 2 * Storm, 5 5 3
Level 94 - 2 * Thor, 4 4 5
Level 94 - 2 * Human Torch, 5 5 3
Everything seemed to go my way. On rounds 2 and 4 both I would start with Storm's blue, hitting everybody and stunning one, I would throw Thor's green on somebody else, 2k to 1 and 1k to the others, hit 2 to 3 of Torch's red in a row, which clearing the reds gave me more matches than I think it ever has. In total of round 2 and 4 I think the enemy made 2 moves? It was very exciting.
I have two more tries this week with Doctor Doom and Hulk.
A few of you have mentioned OBW, she's only level 38 with 2 and 4 , no blue.0 -

My first team was 87 Thor 3/5/5, 87 Marvel 5/5/3, and 87 OBW 3/5/5 (this was before the hit point buff). Just for fun, i tried that same team last week (3Thor was boosted, needed to save health packs) all lvl 94 now, and can still easily finish it on a non-ninja day with that team. Just remember for round 4 to save Marvel's black for last, as it reduces another AP, so unload with thor, (green, green, yellow, yellow, maybe another green if yellows worked well) use marvels red (does more damage at 5 covers than thors at 3) and then a couple of sonic booms and it is over.
Biggest tip, always kill the final goon with an ability, this gives you first move on waves 2 and 4, if you have enough AP, they never get to take a turn !
When you build OBW 3/5/5 is her best build.
edit: i got almost all of my OBW blues from the first 2* progressions in PVPs and as PVP rewards themselves, good place to find them.0 -
This is all great advice that I appreciate receiving. If anybody wants to take the time to give more specific to me advice, I just made my roster on MPQ Gamependium thanks to TxMoose's signature. I only ask because you've seemed so helpful so far!
Specific questions:
1. It seems too early to have any 4* characters, and I have 4 of them with 1 skill each. I almost never use them. Should I get rid of them now for roster space?
2. Sitting in my queue are two black widow grey suits, 1 and 1 , also 1 iron fist . Are either of those worth having in place of somebody I currently have? (Maybe the 4*s from number 1.)
3. Is there anybody in general I'm missing that I should look for? I can't count the number of Ms. Marvel, Bullseye, Ares, Daken(2*),or Moonstones I've thrown away. Were those bad decisions?0 -

It could be a very long time before any of your 4*'s become remotely useful. Nick Fury is relatively decent with only a few covers (at least while 2*'s are your heavy-hitters). Elektra really doesn't have strong abilities until you get a lot of covers (at least in my opinion), so if you weren't too attached to her, she'd be a candidate to sell. I don't have IW or Carnage, so I'll defer to others on those. One thing to keep in mind, if you play PVE a lot, there are 4* essential nodes, so having more 4's can really help your ability to boost your score and place better. For that reason alone, if you play PVE it's probably worth holding on to a few 4*'s.
I don't have him, personally, but Iron Fist is very strong. I enjoy 3* BW, but you need a lot of her covers before she comes into her own. If you can only keep one, Iron Fist is probably better here, but BW is a lot of fun if you have room for both.
As far as 2*'s go, Black Widow really is amazing, as everyone else so far has also mentioned. Ares can punch above his weight more than almost any other 2*, as his green & yellow abilities can both hit very hard (although each with a drawback). Captain Marvel has a solid, team damaging black ability, which is rare among 2*'s, but isn't irreplaceable as you already have a solid 2* roster. Daken is good, but again, maybe not worth it now that you have a pretty well established 2* team. Moonstone and Bullseye have some interesting tricks they can pull, but aren't really great characters (I use Moonstone on Muscle/ninja nodes, as OBW + stolen threaten tiles are absolutely devastating...but there are plenty of other ways to clear those without wasting a roster slot on Moonstone). A lot of it is personal preference, but those are my thoughts.
Congrats on your first BE and good luck on your next0 -

Here is the big question. Are you willing/able to drop some actual cash. If you can, get as many roster spots as possible. I have 70 (71 when JG PVE is over). Even at 1 cover, a 4* gets you entry into that characters essential subs in PVEs. Of the 2*s you are missing, get Ms.Marvel rostered if you can, as she is a hero, she is more likely to be a 2* essential in a PVE, and her ability to destroy shields will actually help! Ares, Moonstone, Daken, and BE are all good chars, if you have the space, roster every 2*, 3* and 4* you can.
That requires 67 slots after this PVE is over, but you will need at least 1 1* for Deadpools Daily, so 68... yah, a tall order.
For not, keep your 4*'s and roster MS Marvel and Ares if possible. Do not level any of your 3*s or 4*s. Wait until you have 3-5 3*s with 10+ covers before you consider leveling anyone past the 94 mark.
Edit: If you are hurting for roster slots, get rid of 1*s, Iron Man Model 35 can easily solo the first sub of deadpool daily.
Also makes sure to go into prologue and use Deadpool once a day, after you get your daily rewards, so you can start stockpiling deadpool points. Once you have a purple for him, you will love it, but you can use points on a purple team up as well.
So make sure to get them, i have over 300k deadpool points stockpiled for guantlet week!0 -

Great advice, Malcrof. I am currently sitting at 61 roster slots, missing a few characters here and there but I think I have a solid workable roster. I do complete the DDQ every day and have carried Iron Man 35 and Storm to use on one of those nodes but I agree that Iron Man could handle that node alone.
Sometimes I do forget to use Deadpool to get the purple points. I have heard people talk about using that in the gauntlet but I have yet to use any of my stockpile. Saving for a rainy day!0 -
@ Malcrof, you had me until 1* IM...
@ Cody722000 - Drop every 1* except Juggs, fully cover and level him to 40, win, and thank me later.
He's often buffed, and competes with 3*s when he is. His is a dirt cheap boardshaker
And for God's sake, cover and level your OBW!

Juggs is not on my roster, nor do i ever think he will be.. more sheer hatred for fighting boosted versions of him i guess..
Im35 is boosted every other PVE, juggs, rarely, because he is someone you are fighting in most PVE's.. IF i ever do make a jugs, i would never level him, 5/5 and wait for BoP, really no other use for him. Yes he can manage round 1 of DDQ solo, but if you are not fully transitioned into max 2*s, then you may still use a 18 here and there, and 1 that you need to heal every time you use him because of huge self damage.. is a waste of health packs.0 -

Haven't really experienced the self-harm piece because I hardly ever use his red except as an incredibly beneficial, "Oh God, this isn't going well. I'm about to lose this match... but wait! Hello Headbutt!" move, but his green? I'll take that over IM35 all day... It's funny how one person can see the self-damage as a burden while another sees it as a last second match saving utility... lol
I had an IM35 for a bit, but he didn't even make it through my 1* to 2* transition...
I really wish someone would make an IM that wasn't so average. IM35 was good while I was playing through the single player portion of MPQ, but even as that was ending he was seeming less and less worth keeping... and IM40? Ew.
All that said, I agree on hating to fight Juggs, and that's probably ironically when I first discovered how immensely useful he could be if I owned my own. Wait, I can put my own boosted version of him in PvP? Yep, sign me up.
Edit: In other news, crushed twice in the first wave of the BE today within 5-8 moves. My 2hor was still standing, but at that point? Meh. That's me done with DDQ until tomorrow. I could use the Doom Blue, but not enough to stress about a video game on my phone.
