I'm sure the lack of confirmation box is a combination of:

    1. No one thought of the problem.
    2. Devs had bigger priorities.

I had played plenty of games where every major purchase has a corresponding dreaded 'fat-finger moment', and I've bought stuff that costs way more than what HP converts for to real currency at that game's market rate for currency. It's definitely a pretty nerve wrecking moment but I don't think it's because they're trying to trick me into wasting all my currency.

As this request was posted over 1000 times over the first point is simply not possible. Along with asking for a general HP spend lock.

As for the priorities, that is questionable too -- they actually implementes a confirm dialog recently for the palette boost. AFTER I guess a a thousand tickets for refunding. That tired off the support.

They could have implemented the general solution with the same effort while at it.

Let's just face the reality, this is deliberate, not overlook and not even lack of resources.

The real question is, did you get something good?
covers for DD and GSBW. still not worth 4000HP.

It costs 1250 HP to upgrade an existing ability. You can't upgrade an ability you don't have. 4000 HP seems reasonable to me if you didn't already have those covers.
If a developer doesn't think a confirmation box is necessary when a player is spending currency that is mostly gained by and real money purchases then they really should find a different career path.

Yeah right. Every developer releases their product before it's finished. Most successful companies keep releasing new versions of their software with all the bugs of the previous versions.

What the hell does that have to do with what I said?

Perhaps I was a bit too brief.

It doesn't matter about whether or not something needs to be in the game or not. If the core program is technically complete, and works for it's intended purpose, there is little a programmer can do to keep the business side from deciding to launch it. If a confirmation screen isn't in it, they'll take the risk of sorting it out later.

You have just confirmed my original statement. If this is considered "technically complete" then you chose the wrong field.
  • More than a week later, still no answer from the Devs.

Funny, cos they managed to change the name of the topic from "Keep on earning, Devs. keep on earning."...

    How is that not tinnykitty?

Really? I accidentally purchased the ironclad pack two nights ago, and sent an email that night. Less than 24 hours later I had my HP back from support.
