The actual answer for most people is, "However long it takes you to decide to spend some money," though the real answer will vary between, "It happened instantly because I'm in a whale alliance," though you really can't be F2P in one of those, and, "Sometime after day 600, and then only IW."

I may have now collected enough X-Force to qualify, but I bought mine just before he was nerfed. The answer will change soon, because 4*s are not nearly so hard to get. I'm getting the 1000 prize in a lot of PVPs, and I pulled an Ant-Man from a token last night. I have 7 of him now.

On day 460 and not even close to having a 4* covered. Have three with 4 covers. I sold a few IW before she was buffed because she used to be terrible. I'm a pretty casual player, F2P, and just joined a real alliance about 2 months ago and am just now getting 3* covers consistently. That 2 to 3 transition took forever for me
