  • I am talking about the ones that come and troll the thread because we as paying customer dare to complain. If the shoe doesn't fit no need to wear it icon_e_smile.gif

You are a lucky dog being in the Alpha for Hex!
Thanks for the clarification. I pay, I complain, but I defend as well.

At the end of the kickstarter for Hex, I opted to donate at like the $30 level. An absolutely excellent decision, I must admit. icon_e_smile.gif

I'm guessing I'm the Cinderella that that shoe fits. icon_e_smile.gif I'm not trolling. I'm a paying customer that is also not happy. But I don't like to fuel hate. So I make benign statements that are judged as full support of the devs because they aren't strong, negative opinions. I don't think I'm that slimy either.

Wasn't talking about you either. There are a couple of folks here that just like to harass anyone one that dare say a word bad about their favorite game of the moment and the dev's can do no wrong in their eyes.

God I keep missing out on the good kickstarters. I always find out about them after they close. I am checking periodically now to see if there are any good ones hopefully I won't keep missing out. I signed up for the beta for this so keeping my fingers crossed.

I'd rather get frustrated playing flappy bird than playing this game at this point.

Ironically, it was the Stonehearth kickstarter that keeps me up to date on other good kickstarters. The forum the SH guys set up has a lot of threads on other kickstarters. I've actually had to stop going to the Stonehearth forums b/c it was costing me too much on kickstarter.

Do you mean Hearthstone or is this something different?

I was wondering the same thing. I'm just assuming Stonehearth is just a play on Hearthstone that some small dev company is putting together. There's no way Blizzard needs a kickstarter for their projects.

I would venture to guess that even if they don't need it it is a good tool for publicity and extra cash is always nice. You may be right though.

    http://stonehearth.net (edit, fixed the url)

It's another voxel game that is similar to Castle Story or Dwarf Fortress, but has a really grand scale, is designed for modders from the ground up, and looks absolutely phenomenal. It is the one game that I'm very, very psyched for (besides another Lego game from Telltale - I'm quite a sucker for those as well).

Sounds interesting. Not big on the voxel games but this may change that. Will wait and see how it turns out.
  • To all the defenders, every problem with this game is the fault of d3. It took them under a week to ruin the game, I expect it to take under a week to fix it. Don't defend them. If you don't like all the anger and venom, don't post. It just makes people angrier when you defend something they are pissed about.

I tried Minecraft but got bored very quickly with it. Haven't tried any since then. But I downloaded the alpha for this one as well and it's really cute. The mechanics seem rooted in solid game design and the graphics harken back to the nostalgic 16 bit days.

Also the guys who are building it are the same guys that run the EVO tourney (if you're big into fighting games). So I'm hopeful for this game, plus they're great at communicating with people. Weekly desktop sharing, and a large number of twitch streams. It's the way early access games / greenlight / alphas should be done. Not to draw a comparison b/w their communication skills and D3's or anything.... icon_e_biggrin.gif

    Communication skills are always nice.

In the meantime if you are looking for a good game the Might and Magic Card Game is very good.

I saw that mentioned earlier. I've always been a fan of M&M and bookmarked the steam site earlier. I'll be checking that out tonight.

Definitely more complex than Hearthstone which is very fast paced play this is more in depth. Both good in their own right.
