Does his red even hit as hard as IM45 + 1 Team IM ally? It costs more ap. And the rest of his kit is even worse. There are so, so many better reds in 5* land. Just skimming my own limited 5* roster I would much prefer to have these reds on my team (assuming no boosts etc)

And that is ignoring the elephants in the red room (Apoc, OR, SC, and Fosthor). And there are a lot of 5*s that I haven't yet covered or champed who are also better (e.g., venom rex, KM, Hit monkey).
I get that boosting is a thing and eventually it will be worth having a 5* ascended IM35. I just don't see his kit as being anything to get excited about. He has maybe the blandest kit in the 1* tier (if not the whole game).
