The discussion of brackets has me thinking about letting users pick brackets with different rewards.
The last three events to tier rewards are covers I don't need. It would be cool If I could enter the ISO only bracket or tokens only bracket in certain tourneys even if the rewards were worth less overall.0 -
I get so sick of everyone assuming that people with low-level rosters are cheating. I have a decent roster, not too strong yet but not too weak, and I can still beat teams a lot stronger than me, and I know I'm not a very good player. Also, I think high skill levels comes into play a lot more than high ISO levels. You can have a lot of covers without maxing out your character. Some people seem to do it as a strategy to make sure that the "right" character is tanking.
So just because someone has mad match-3 skills, don't assume they're cheaters.0 -

But most of these low level teams, and by low level I mean in there early 20's are cheating. There is no possible way a guy with FOUR characters, the highest been a 28 can be 5000 points AHEAD OF SECOND PLACE even with his "match 3 skills"0 -

Why not? The developers have already admitted that they don't understand how the changes they make affect the game, but somehow, you do? Just because you don't understand it, does not make it cheating. It doesn't mean they're NOT cheating either. I have noticed plenty of things that seemed impossible to me until I learned about ways to game the system: Tanking in LR, losing to lower the levels of mobs, etc. Maybe they have a legit way of gaming the system that you or I just don't understand. It is extremely arrogant to assume that anyone better than you MUST be cheating.0 -

Maybe he fights lvl10-15 teams the game offers that is doable with 28 characters and repeats. The game is utterly broken in all directions.0 -

It's because D3 has different people fighting different level enemies, which is totally freaking absurd. I face 230 Maggia bad guys and some lower level player gets to fight level 60-90 Maggia bad guys in the current Heroic Mode.0 -
And you know they are better than me and others HOW??? And how do I know they are cheating? Well for the guy with four covers, a 28,24 and 2 level 15's can get 9,000 points, is just not possible unless he is playing the tournament 24/7 with infinite health packs and points that never decrease. One hit from any of those hammer guys is enough to wipe out his whole team. But nope he just has "mad" skills and can't possibly be cheating.even if they were different level enemies it's not like they are all under level 20. This guy must be able to predict what colors fall from the screen before it happens. Almost like magic.0

1 hit form a lvl10 hammer will definitely not eliminate the team. And in any case you need not allow it to happen when you can retreat with minor bruise.
And heal is available in prologue.
Does he have Daredevil? Without one really lots of missions remain locked. There was a post providing points in missions, it can be calculated whether it's possible or not.0 -

I know they are "better" than you because they are apparently at the top of their bracket. The real question is WHY are they "better" than you. It could be because they are better at Match-3, they are cheating, or they know how to game the system in ways that neither of us understand. I don't know which it is and neither do you. Oh, wait. Obviously, they are cheating, because they just prevented you from getting that cover that you spent hours trying to get.0 -

As one of the above posters said, there are posts calculating how many points at possible to get with your roster. All it takes is a minute to read them and a little math skill not "mad" math skills. Why can't people think others are cheating without u getting all upset and whiny? The developers admitted that's why we can see people's rosters, so we can report people we feel are abusing the system and cheating. But nooo everybody plays fair yea?? Just cause you don't cheat doesn't mean countless others don't. Get off your high perch and learn some math skills mr "mad" match 3 skillzzz.0 -

You seem much more upset than me. As for whiny... whiny is what the other guy in an argument always is.
I haven't seen the posts you're referring to about math. I'll assume that they actually exist, but linking to one of them might have helped your weak argument.
Also, I've never said that none of them are cheating, only that you don't know that they are. I've always held the opinion that making rosters viewable was just a way of starting a witch hunt. I'm sure that tons of "cheaters" will be found, just like at Salem. Will they be real cheaters? Maybe. But my guess is that the real cheaters are too smart to get caught.0 -

Nope not whiny, stating a fact that there are cheaters everywhere in this game. Your opinion on why the roster button became so is just that, your opinion. i for one go by what the developers said not some random player. yes you may have said that some of them are cheating, the same way i said some ARE NOT. its a 2 way thing. i dont know and either do you. which is where the roster button comes into play. to HELP spot them. and they played puzzle quest at Salem? I suppose that you are technically correct, but I wouldn't equate "most of them are cheating" with "some of them are not cheating".
As for what the developers said, I take everything they say with a grain of salt nowadays. If they ever start managing this game competently again, I might start giving them more credence. For example, rather than start a witch hunt by saying, "Look, you can see everyone's rosters! Let us know if you see any cheaters!", they could have mentioned specific things to look for. Oh, wait. They can't do that, because THEY don't know what cheaters look like either.
And your understanding of a metaphor makes me weep for the education system of whichever country you hail from.0 -
