The fact that people are asking for a nerf to be done is a sad day indeed. We should be asking for stronger characters, not weaker ones. This game is getting worse the more players it gets, simply because they are not as established and they figure they are entitled to what veterans have with no effort expended. Compound that with the devs deciding that fun = long matches and a nerfed roster of characters. Then pile on a 1-shot kill to your whole team and you get "the privilege" to wait 1.5 hours for some heal packs to regen to do it again.
Could it get worse? Sure, just wait and see what's in store for us next patch...0 -

You're not exactly right. The version 1 of this game is the most balanced. 1 stars were actually strong because they could get out their abilities quicker and thus do damage. If the 2-3 stars survived the initial onslaught, they could be a force to be reckoned with and whup the 1 star team. With the additions of new covers with NO playtesting between covers, there's be a huuuuge unbalancing in the game. They are right in nerfing these strong units. But they should have instead increased the viability of playing with weak characters. It's all about the reward portion of the game. This is the same reason why you wouldn't buy a 4 ouncer from mcdonalds but a quarter pounder sounds delicious. They are the exact same thing but one sounds like you are getting more bang for your buck.0 -
It doesn't really help that character nerfs in this game seem to be giant overhauls rather than minor tweaks which would 'cause a lot less uproar for a start. Instead of maybe just increasing an ability by like +1ap or -1ap.
Gradual nerfs would work better for balancing I reckon rather than going too much in one direction or another.0 -
I still think that if they want me, as an established player, to use my 1* covers, that there has to be a real good reason to do so. I can't win in a match against 3x 3*'s using my mixed 1* and 2*'s, so why even try. Bring in a system that rewards me for using them, or limits the competition to similar cover levels and i'm in. Spidey Venom and ... Storm maybe, would be viable if I wasn't paired against Hood, Spidey and Hulk because that's what my "MMR" says is my ideal match.0

For me i don't think so, i can't even play no more their damned events as their level scaling is far too unbalanced and keep me from achieving successul fights. I have a lot of covers ( i mean, it's all this game is about, collecting covers...) but no high level heroes.

Just wait until they nerf Spidey and Magneto and implement this Iso skip tax. I'm sure everyone will be thrilled.0 -
My biggest gripe... and the reason I have barely touched the game (apart from the entire patch only stacking things against you) is the boosts.
This was almost the best part of the game for me. There was always a careful balance of do I use boosts or do I level Cap or whoever the buffed character was at the time. Forgoing boosts meant more attack power but forgoing attack meant longevity of your team. The boosts may have been slightly too cheap but I think for most people a 50 iso raise would have given more thought behind where and when to use boosts (i.e. for the harder oponents only).
I really enjoyed that added dynamic but now that has gone and combined with the fact that your opponents are harder it makes boosts more important and the combat/strategy far less interesting.
I'm not too fussed about the character nerfs (although I think it they went way to far with them - 50%?!?!) but the boost price and increased difficulty has really killed my enjoyment for the game.
Can it get any worse? Yes, but i'm pretty much done with the game.0
