  • The reason I voted undecided is because I like it when it works in my favor and hate it when it works against me.

I really don't see it adding anything to the game really. It adds some variety for one specific week but renders every other character practically useless because as soon as someone sees unboosted characters, they will attack you (I know I do).

The powered-up chars have more health of course, but at the same time, your powered-up chars do more damage. So that pretty much ends up being a non-factor (as long as you have the boosted characters for that week).

So what is the point of this "feature"? I don't get it. It's not for people with large rosters for sure because you're just stuck using the same characters. Is it for transitionners? Chances are they don't even have the powered-up chars in any usable state. What the hell is the point?

The end result is less diversity in teams you see which quite frankly makes PVP even more boring (along with the bipolar MMR and health buffs)

Just leave the featured character powered-up, stick with the bigger buff so that he's truly the featured guy for his own event.

On the one hand there's definitely more variety from week to week now. On the other hand, this week I guarantee that once I cross 500-600 points 90% of the teams I'll see will be featured+Black Panther+Iron Fist. So it's different monotony, at least. (And yes, that's the team I'm using too. There's a reason it's getting spammed, because the synergy between them is tinykitty ridiculous.) I think there needs to be more care in selecting the weekly boosts so there isn't an obvious perfect team, which may require reducing the number of boosted characters. But on the whole I still like it more than PvP with one boosted character and that's it.

I don't have any of the boosted guys this week, and LThor + Loki has me sititng at 650. I'll make my a final push in 30 minutes and probably get to ~850.

Not having the buffed characters isn't the end of the world.

Have you checked if you're sandboxed? icon_e_wink.gif

Whenever i go with a team like that i get hit all the time from 200 up. I'd definitely hit that too.

I'm a 2-3* transitioner who just finally has a few guys cover maxed but no 166 guys yet.

I really have enjoyed the buffed characters this season. It has helped me be able to use the 3* that I have decently covered that are either boosted or not.

Last week I ran Grocket + boosted OBW, it worked most of the time seeing as I have 2 of her, great for my climbing run to hit my desired progressions, but not so great on defense if I didn't shield. I slow climb at the start and don't shield until the end if it's a cover I want.

I don't have a well covered IF or BP, so I'm running SW + Doom. She's at 5/3/4 and Dooms at 1/3/5, and it works for my offensive climb and pushes them through real quick, though it may not be the best for defense.

I started out trying SW and IF since he's at 4/4/1 and could spam his purple. SW feeds both of them equally well, and with no Black outlet for IF + SW even works on defense.

I don't minding climbing, then dropping because of being hit while i'm away, then I just climb again. Contributing to the points pool, someone has to generate points for people. icon_e_smile.gif

PVE seems less fun to me with boosted characters because it seems to be throwing a wrench into scaling... that or my scaling just is messed up because I've leveled many 3* to 103, 120 and a couple just slightly higher. I've been spending more time in PVP... which is completely opposite of where I was a couple months ago when they switched refreshes to 8 hour. I seldom play PVE even within those 8 hours.

I've actually seen a variety of characters out there early on but my goals currently are to be around 500-600. On a week I have some really good covered boosted characters and I can use the progression and placement, I'll push higher and use shields... otherwise, I have fun playing with alliance mates and everybody climbing together. If I played PVP alone, it would be less fun.

Of course I get hit. Then I retaliate and get more points from them than they got from me, then I continue my climb. I actually look forward to getting hit because almost always I receive more than I lost.

Where are you scoring in each event? I'm sensing a lot of condescension here and a lot of downtalking, but at the same time you seem baffled at my scores. What kind of numbers are you putting up?

Not that it affects anything but I think you downvoted the wrong person there...
