I was going to charge you 200 ISO for my legal advice, but I've changed my mind. 100 HP it is.

It is absolutely hilarious that you think they're doing something illegal. As with all things digital, the precedent has been established that the content belongs to the producer and the consumer is simply paying digital use fees rather than taking ownership in situations like these.

To put it bluntly: you did not pay to own the content and they can change it however they see fit.

Copyrights law are not in play/question here. And THAT has not been ''established'' worldwide.

Hey now, maritime law is no joke to Bob Loblaw.
  • In other news, I've decided to make a game with punishing gameplay featuring a dirty lawyer. I'm gonna call it Dark Saul.

Once again an uninformed post by an uninformed person. You can get a refund and continue to play as much as you like. It's a free 2 play game.
The app stores are willing to give refunds. Once that information is shipped from Apple and Google to D3, do you really think you're going to get to keep your account and characters? For you to be advocating that people scam D3 is actually illegal (as opposed to D3's actions that people are claiming are illegal). It's a violation of actual laws of commerce governing our society.

They've certainly got a firestorm of negativity to deal with but I'm sure you're in the queue to have your account modified and/or deleted (at least we can hope that - go away and let the nice peeps in the community continue to reside here).

Yeah, no. And then I stopped reading. If that were true, every MMO every would be illegal. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.

You should play Final Fantasy XIV bro, it's kinda fun and good for a MMO. Also leveling up doesn't cost ISO and you don't need to spend HP on talent trees. Nothing was nerfed and they keep adding new content. Your mind is blown right?

Too bad the game is currently unplayable for new players/new classes from what I've heard. Even if you manage to find a dungeon, which takes hours now (even as a tank), you'll rage quit once you hit Garuda.

    I know that's when I stopped playing.

If D3 made it a priority to ban the accounts of people who got refunds over banning the accounts of cheaters and hackers, that would raise a **** storm. It would basically confirm what some people on the forums have been accusing them of, allowing cheaters to stay in the game because they're pumping money into the D3 coffers. (Not saying I believe it.)

Well it's been well over a month now and I'm still here, also I've posted that I've gotten refunded in threads the devs have replied to. So um yeah?

To be perfectly honest, I also stopped the main quest at Garuda because I wasn't good enough to beat her. But I didn't rage quit; I was too busy with other games and life in general to get back into it. I'm waiting for the PS4 version to restart playing regularly

I didn't find she was unmanageable. The problem was the lack of skill in the player base who were all too used to World of Warcraft and it's "baby's first MMO" level of difficulty. DPS would never switch to adds, tank would never move out of big red glowing area of death, dps never moved EVER, etc.

Chareth Cutestory has informed me that Bob Loblaw neither confirms nor denies this statement.
  • I am not a lawyer so I am not sure whether this stuff is legal or not I am pretty sure they have the right to make whatever changes to their software they so choose and this comes from working the industry however what this really is is a matter of ethics. If the customer is very unhappy with a product because it is not what was described to them the ethical thing to do would be to give a refund of money spent. Of course good customer service would dictate that you try to make the customer happy first if they have a legitimate grievance.

I haven't reached the point of asking for a refund yet. I doubt they will honor it as this seems to be an unfortunate trend being taken by the gaming industry. As complaints mount up with the government it will eventually be regulated like everything else. I am not for more government but I am for companies doing the right thing.

I can tell you for a fact Steam doesn't give a rats *** I know this from personal experience with the piece of **** game that wouldn't run no matter what I tried and I am not a technically challenged person by any stretch icon_razz.gif

No I made the mistake of buying War of the Roses. There were tons of posts and complaints it was months before it was fixed(about 6 if I recall). I don't play it as the whole thing pissed me off too much. Quit buying Steam games at full price to as a response to their attitude. It was the only time I ever complained but god knows how many games I bought through them. They were aholes to say the least. So in the long run they screwed their selves out of my money. I only buy now when they are dirt cheap so hopefully their cut is a pittance.
