Green abilities destroying tiles is not unusual, destroying tiles and returning AP is though.
She's like a Beast blueflag.png / 2* Storm blueflag.pnggreenflag.png mashup. And it actually sounds just like SW. I'm excited.

So, are "unknown" previews a thing of the past?

Storm(s) since close to forever and the Squirrel, though hers is a bit roundabout.

If her passive was on green then it would make sense to pair them together, but as is you'd need someone with active blue, yellow, red for rainbow. Which leaves Magneto (intentional?)

Whoa, good observation!! If intended -- that's some cool design.

Maybe they could run a "Father's Day" tournament in June with CMags/QS/SW all buffed. icon_e_biggrin.gif

I have to continue to be amazed at the lack of listening to the player-base yet again. Despite the fact that the majority of MPQ community expressed extreme displeasure at having back-to-back character releases, here they are doing it again.

That being said, SW sounds pretty interesting...should be fun to see what she can do.

"The whole" minus me. I like frequent character releases. It keeps me interested and playing. There are so many days now that there's nothing for me to do in the game and I go play Hearthstone instead. I'd rather play MPQ.

I'll correct it to say the majority then...it has been a frequent complaint of many people that I have seen.

"the whole"? Not I -- please don't speak in absolutes or presume any one opinion is the defacto status quo.

EDIT: I appreciate your correction! And will continue to respect the opinions of either side of the debate if presented in a respectful and levelheaded manner.

What annoys me (and as I pointed out in the Quicksilver thread) is that Quicksilver's blue passive and Magneto's red conflict. It seems like they were going for family synergy but missed the mark. If there are locked teamups when you hit Magneto's red, you miss out on some damage and board shake. If you hit Magneto's red first, there are few-to-no teamups on the board for Quicksilver to lock.

Ack -- good point. -___- Maybe it would be a simple re-code to make it so locked tiles aren't affected by any moves which normally would affect them in some manner -- i.e. CMags' redflag.png, MoStorm's yellowflag.png, Cyclops' yellowflag.png .

If this were TaT or PS back to back I'd agree. But new PvE content back to back with some new mechanics? Count me in

It's already coded this way I believe. CMags red doesn't bust or unlock QS's locked tiles.

Sadly this seems to be the pattern now, hook you in for multiple PVEs to win a 4* character. How many times have they done this before now? (and why can't they do it like Prof X?)
New 2* Cap Marvel essential for 4* Thor.
    Gamora essential for Star Lord.
    Kamala Khan essential for Kingpin.
    Scarlet Witch essential for Hulkbuster.

If this wasn't a new PVE, I'd probably skip it and the hulkbuster PVE after.

So what about the fact that Quicksilver's art is different in this article? He's wearing his movie outfit as opposed to how he is in the game now wearing his comics outfit.

It is! I was saying I would rather Magneto's red pop locked teamups. Actually, what I would really rather is that Quicksilver's green and black have fixed costs and that his blue did something else entirely. But that's a different discussion. . .

Good obs. Yeah, here's hoping that SW will get her classic outfit once the AoU Event is over. I assume the QS change is temporary.

I wonder if any other Avenger gets a skin change for the Event... probably not... Hulk and Thor look unchanged.

14AP that "deals heavy damage to the entire enemy team then stuns one enemy for a couple of turns. At max level her attack hits harder and stuns longer than MPQ fan favorite Storm (Classic)'s Wind Storm".

Meanwhile, newly "fixed" Ragnarock has an ability that costs 14AP, does moderate damage to entire enemy team....and yours.... What did Rags do to deserve this? (Fine, he's in some PVE's, maybe that means he can't be "good"?)

So will Ultron get turns or is he just a massive OP goon with CD tiles?

Why wasn't this announced on the forums by Devs?

Well. They say "heavy damage" but they also say that at max level it does more than windstorm. That could be as little at 2k damage. (obviously it's still hard to justify rags green, and it can't do too much damage without making khan's green look foolish). Still, it seems clear that this will be a pretty good power at worst.
  • From the screenshot it looks like she has the standard HP class (8600 or whatever) which is same as Deadpool. Since Whales doesn't stun and also uses 14 AP, I'd think Scarlet Witch can't possibly do more damage than Whales unless they consider mega Whales to be something you're supposed to use on a regular basis. I'd think it has to be less by a nontrivial amount since she can generate her own purple AP while Deadpool cannot.
