It's pretty ridiculous right now. I am regularly matched up against teams that are 30-50 levels higher than me. When that skip tax comes into play, it'll be a farking joke.

Welcome to the club where doing well penalizes you. This thor tourney, nearly everyone in top 10 has low level characters yet I have to face a max thor and a nearly all 100+ or max 3☆ characters for a whopping 10 points over and over again. No 20 pt matches once I cracked 200. Now I also get penalized in PVE so if the goal is to drive your original players away, d3p is succeeding.

Best way to do it at the moment seems to be beating one of the bot teams at the start of the tournaments (those 1/1/special or 15/15/special "kicksthatkick" etc) with the weakest team you can and just don't compete in that tournament.

I did that in the Lightning Rounds and it set me up really well for the first day or so of the Wolvie tournament.

Actually, I put out all my best villains in the Lightning Rounds and tried really hard, but it still came off looking like tanking.

You USED TO be able to put out a weak team by intentionally losing a match using a weak team. However, NOW you can't do that, since it makes the team people fight when attacking you be the last line-up you WON with, rather than the last one you PLAYED with.

If you want to put up a tanking team, you have to be able to win a match with it. Obviously easier if you can skip your way to an easy match.

Isn't it better to tank from, like, 400 points or so? If it's defending losses you're looking for, no one's going to bother attacking you when you have 25 points, tank team or not. Maybe I'm just confused, never really did try doing this with any great gusto.

I'm totally sick of wasting my time in these tournaments. Grind for 1-2 hours and then get taken down 200+ points every 30 minutes? It's not worth the time or aggravation.
