ISO - the biggest reason for lack of roster diversity

Let me guess. You have Spiderman with 5 in his blue and even 230 fights are a joke. For the rest of us who don't have him, winning in the current pve without boosts takes a miracle. The net gain for me since the start of the tournament is ~15k and I played 95% of the rotations of all sub and main missions. A mid tier player without a decent Patch or OBW with 5 in Espionage would probably get even less with more work.

Actually, you do make a good point. I do have Spidey but 4 blue but at 3 AP its still very powerful and I have him at level 104 which helps. The other guy I use that is amazing for me is the Hood if you have 5 blue for him. He steals like a beast esp if you can get several stuns down repeatedly. I still die quite often myself as it just doesnt matter how good you are, one bad board or one unreal cascade and you are toast against Ares, Juggs or even Venom.

Ive played quite a bit but with all the new characters, nerfs, etc I have felt like any progress I was making into the upper tier has been washed away and Im sliding backwards....into not playing. Probably going to follow DDDs lead and just check here occasionally to see if the game is still alive, or if they figured out how to fix their own mistakes.

Quick question: does this game come with a lvl 100+ Spidey with 4 blue covers??? You need to grind ISO for a couple of events without those over-powered 3* combos to see what the gameplay is actually like for 99% of the playerbase. The rate of reward is not made ok because you happen to have the most nerf-worthy stun combo currently in the game.

Thank god it's not just me. The number of 20 ISO rewards from the Thieves PVE has just been outrageous for me. I got something like 6 in a row and a whole bunch of Target boosts. PVE went from really good ISO-8 source to being significantly worse than grinding the prologue.

Yep. People are going to look at the mountain of ISO they need to raise to field decent three star teams and give up.


Or the are going to patiently wait for the hardcore players to figure out who the OP combos are and then rush to build them. Then we'll have hundreds of players running the same few characters again. Then the devs will crumble to complaints and nerf them and everyone will meltdown again. Rinse, lather, repeat.

If ISO rewards were more plentiful, people wouldn't be so focused on leveling the most optimal characters.

Also,I had a laugh today when I was thinking about how I was receiving the same 'loot' defeating a (really hard) opponent as the guy who just started out yesterday is. Imagine playing an RPG where you received the same loot killing the level 100 dragon as you did for killing the level 1 slime. But your 'equipment costs' were ten times what you needed when you first started out.

I levelled ragnarok due to forum advice.
I levelled wolverine because ICEIX himself said he was the key to winning the 1 Pve event before nerfs were announced.

Literally he says "wolvie is the key to this 1" I level wolvie from 10-85 during the event. Then boom! Nerf hammer!!!

Every single decision I've made as an informed player that would seem like good decisions to any1 with any experience have all bit me in the ****. I seriously seriously am afraid to use ISO on any character that has any use.

I feel like I should either store my ISO indefinitely and never touch it again for fear of waste or level Loki and bagman or something that doesn't make sense because so far everything that makes sense has been wrong. Seriously though, why should I have to think like this. Why should I be AFRAID to upgrade my covers. Maybe I wouldn't be so upset and on such a rampage all day if EVERY single change they make is directly effecting my roster.

Because I had to pick and choose to only level 3-4 covers! If I can only pick and choose between so few and every single choice I made turns into a slap in the face then what the fk am I sposed to do. I am not even really p*ssed off anymore. From what i gathered so far, you do not need high level characters to place well. Just keep all your covers at low levels and you will do quite well in both PvP and PvE with easy match ups. I have been playing the game wrong all this time.

I haven't played WoW but I did read that they do have that button. It basically "maxxes" your character to 60 or something so you don't have to grind that hard. It may even max you up to 90.

i have the same predicament. Why should I level Patch since he might be getting nerfed. I'm afraid to level spidey anymore because I'm sure he's getting nerfed.
