Any ideas on beating a level 328 Iron Fist in the Gauntlet?
From move one, he's doing 1k damage per turn against my team. I obviously need to use boosts because making just a few matches pretty much kills off one of my characters just from this.
I would love to just use a ton of boosts and then have Deadpool drop all of his whales on them, but Deadpool is also in the fight.
I also tried filling up with boosts and doing the old Sentry Bomb. I got it off, but it wan't anywhere even close to enough damage. That was with Daken attack tiles powered up by Falcon 3-4 times and Sentry's sacrifice.
I kind of like powered up Rags and 2*Storm. With boosts, I can stun off Iron Fist fairly well, but in the meantime Luke Cage throws in a Righteous Uppercut for 14,000 damage or Deadpool drops whales for 24,000 total damage.
I have XForce (5/3/5), pretty much all of the 3* characters maxed, and no idea how to beat this node. Anyone have any ideas? I've never really gotten stuck in the gauntlet before. There are times it is a huge HP sink, but I don't even know how to deal with this one.

I'm not sure that node is possible...0

Buy some lube ?0

Do you have Xavier? I beat that node at a similar level by slowly killing cage and IF with an invisible professor. On the average turn I only did 1 hp of damage, but with enough patience those match-5's will come, and after you've taken out cage and his protect tile IF can be taken down relatively quickly.0

I'm having problems beating node 32 -- the IF/Doom/MStorm combo. So I feel your pain.
Do you have Deadpool and a good stockpile of DP points? You could run him with two tanks and hope you get enough purple to drop Whales....0 -

Or run three tanks/healers with a WWW TU and DP points. Only slightly less cheap than this node.
edit: shoot, forgot you cant bring a DP TU because he is one of the AI0 -

You can't do that because that node has DP as well.0 -
I used Hulk, X-Force and believe it or not, an underleveled Captain Marvel on 32 and 37. My scaling is behind yours, 37 is sitting at level 313 and I've finished the Gauntlet, but my basic strategy was to let Hulk and Carol passively generate green and black for X-Force, then shred the other team. I think Carol and Hulk both died on that one, but I squeaked out. I just had to save Surgicals until Deadpool was down, because I had no outlet for purple.0

I used variations on two themes and completed all the gauntlet (granted my scaling is not that crazy high)
Theme one Hulk/patch it. Works surprisingly well even against enemy patches.
Theme two. Cap/Hood priority on blue shields to protect yourself. Bring IM40 as a battery, or even mnMags should work to help accelerate blue (and red). Try to keep ap away from the enemy with hood, and use intimidate to cycle shields/recharges faster.
Against an IF I would use hulk if able, but cap should in theory be able to stun IF while overwriting his tiles, but might take too long to get started on a bad board.0 -
I brought a couple MBW stun TUs and kept him from doing the 1000 damage a round for about 10 rounds.0

I stunned my way around this one, too. My second was X-Force and my third was either Daredevil or 3* Cap (I'm pretty sure the one that won it for me was Cap); I also deployed a timely boosted Windstorm team-up. Cap's stuns are precious here; he can take out the offending tile and keep it from being redeployed for two turns...which will give you just enough breathing room to maybe make some progress on the board.0

In some ways, it works better than bringing your own patch, as the green from Anger will match away a lot of the enemy strikes.0 -
It's no help now because I rushed that node as quick as I could before the 4thor nerf got in. And even then with that node using 4Thor/Xforce/loki... I still lost both 4Thor and loki in that fight. With the nerf to 4 thor it's insanely bad....
My only thought is to use the AI's tactics against it... i.e. doom/mystique to flood the black tiles to feed xforce0 -
I used 3*Daken, OBW and CStorm.0

Hulk, Patch, and Loki seems like the way to go. Thanks!
This was the correct answer. Beaten on the next try. Thanks again!0 -
Hulk angry every turn! Then spam the green of your choice.0

Ew.
Daken/Lthor/XF, in that order. Daken should tank a few colors; hopefully he'll take black. Without 5 in Surgical, you're gonna need some boosts. All/RY/GB should be enough.
Focus on green/yellow as much as possible and you should be in good shape. Kill DP first, then IF, then Cage. You'll want to use XF green whenever possible because of its cascade potential; COTS might do more damage, but you want as much AP as possible at all times.
If that doesn't work, I beat the final node with Cap/BP/Thor. Should work on that one, too. Get Peacemaker going ASAP.0 -
Make a time machine and go back to before the nerf to 4* Thor happened, and pound their faces in with her mighty hammer.
Wait, but the event won't be happening then. Worthless time travel...0
