He stays invisible.
I think one of the goon's ability hit him as well (flamethrower or covering fire. Can't remember which one). So it must be team damage that gets through. Anyone care to test this theory out?sinnerjfl wrote:Need to remove his tile or use AOE attacks.
So it's confirmed?0 -

THE COLD TRUTH0 -
From the Professor X thread in character discussion:Demiurge_Miles wrote:Hey All,
Since Invisible Woman doesn't get a lot of screen time and since it looked like there was some confusion, I figured I'd jump in to give a refresher on how Invisibility works in MPQ.
Professor X makes an Invisibiltiy tile, and has the status effect of "Invisible" while it is on the board. This means that after making any match, he will immediately jump to the back of the team, leaving someone else in front.
While invisible, a character can't be targeted, meaning you can't choose to bring them to the front. However, they are still vulnerable to team damage attacks, which have no target. Conclusion: Team damage and Board shake are the way to deal with an invisible character.0 -

Hmm, I assumed by invisible tile they meant it worked like a trap tile. Nevermind then, all hope for her is down the drain.0 -

if he is indeed still invisible when he is the last character then 4Thor blue won't stun him? that could be a problem.
Last hope is XF green to randomly take out tiles on the board, hoping to get his purple tile.
I haven't experienced fighting Xavier while invisible yet, BUT i HAVE fought Invisible Woman being invisible AND the last remaining opponent. Basically, you're screwed b/c IW doesn't take any damage (aside from AoEs) until the invisible tile is gone. So at that point, your task is match the tiles around the invisible tile, and PRAY that you get tile drops with the right colors to take out the invisible tile. It'll be a battle of attrition where your team will take match damage from the AI every round until you can get rid of the invisible tile. HOWEVER, you also need to take care to avoid letting the AI match the colors to create ANOTHER invisible tile. That's actually happened to me one time, where IW got 2 yellow invisible tiles off during one single match.0 -
Aside from AoEs and board shakes, if anyone's willing to lose some big hitting ability you could switch in a one star Hawkeye especially to take on a 249 Prof X team. Now before you laugh, let me offer a refresher on Hawkeye's abilities: a) red ability takes out one whole horizontal row of tiles; b) purple ability allows placement of a critical tile. Hawkeye's red attack is obvious--see invisible tile, hit invisible tile. His purple attack can also be used to get rid of the invisible tile, albeit indirectly--if the invisible tile (which is purple remember) happens have another purple tile nearby, you JUST might be able to place Hawkeye's critical tile for a 3 tile match and get rid of it that way.
If you do decide to add the one star Hawkeye, and obviously the featured Xavier is the second character, the final character in the team has to cover red so that hawkeye is protected until he can get rid of the invisible tile. So possibilities include Hulk/She-Hulk, Luke Cage, Colossus, Steve Rodgers, Deadpool, Patch.
Of course, most players wouldn't have a one star hawkeye, but it might not be a bad investment to have one, at least for his red covers.0 -

Thanks guys.
Since so many of you responded I donno If i can indiviually reply as it will take forever...
That said Proffesor X can dominate pvp if played properly.
His blue maxed lvl with 4 covers in it does 4k dmg per 5 tile match and what happens if the board cascades into a few 5 tile matches(this is highly possible).
Of course we all know how awful the AI is with some of the chracters and Xavier will be one of them. But if one particular game favors the enemy he can steal your guaranteed win.
Lastly yes Xavier can be the last man standing and if invisible you can't kill him and he can crush.
If anyone has began to start seeing issues with Xavier in PVP. Lets us know.

You have not faced a maxed xavier then have you?
His yellow at 5 points creates a strike, defense AND Attack tile0 -
You could use mystique cover to get more out to find a match. That's all I have.0
