Anyone want to help a 2* get through the BIG enchilada

I am not having much luck- I have a good amount of maxed 2* and a Doom 3* @105

    Please and thank you

I feel your pain - took me a little while to find the 'best' group - and that is very subjective. I have heard of many combinations of ares, obw, daken, thor, mags, storm; and to a lesser extent wolvs, cap, and hawk, working but I have only really attempted it with 2 groups. Ares/OBW/Daken is what I started with and did ok but was hairy at the end many times - many close calls and a few wipes. Then someone explained their use of Thor/Mags/Storm and I tried them a couple times when team 'A' wiped and I have since moved to that team as my 'A' team - for all survival nodes moving forward. Yes they have the very effective (at least for a few more days, then we'll see) mags purple to storm blue combo, but it is the overall ap generation of storm green (fed by thor yellow) and mags red that, once rolling, you just use whatever ap color is at/near 30 and you can keep it going very well. I have almost always entered the last wave with at/near 30 ap on all but one color (the one I used to end wave 3 - generally I use mags red to end wave 3 to top off all the ap). Basically if you have 30 blue and at least 20 purple you can get 3-4 windstorms off that will wipe most everyone. If any high health characters are left, mop up with some thor yellow and storm green and its done. A key is to finish waves one and three with either a match 5 or an ability. This will let you start waves 2 and 4 with character opponents with your abilities instead of letting them start with theirs. That can be the end of your run if you let them start using the ap that the goon waves have accumulated, depending on the characters and the ap situation.

    Hope it helps.
  • I might be the only one using this combination, but it's worked for me flawlessly for every event so far. So if anyone else is interested in trying it, feel free. I've been using an Iron Man 40, whose specced 3/5/5 which is usual but let's me spam his recharge tiles during waves 1-3. During waves 2-4 he uses Unibeam for single damage and Ballistic Salvo to stun the strongest character of the wave and do aoe damage to the rest of the party. OBW who manages the countdown tiles with blue and when IM40 is stunned, steals blue. Finally I use X-Force Wolverine to spam green with X-Force and then use Surgical to clear out strongest color. This also has the benefit of occasionally clearing away countdown tiles as well so it works on all three levels.

I use Thor/AWolvie/OBW. Just spend Rounds 1 and 3 building AP. Don't use any powers unless your AP is nearing 30 and you can afford to release some of it. You can even let some of the weaker CD tiles go off, rather than always using AGD. You'll pick up with experience which ones these are. Make sure that you finish the last goon with Feral Claws. When the opponents arrive in Rounds 2 and 4, Adamantium Slash anybody really dangerous (like they have a power primed already thanks to the goons AP generation).

For the daily survival node (for the cover), Thor, Falcon and Blade have been kicking **** and chewing bubblegum for me - and they frequently show up without the bubblegum.

What's your blade covers at? Levels of each?

They are all 166 with the "standard" builds. 355 for Thor and Blade, 553 for Falcon.
