I won't reply in an eloquent or articulate manner but...

Congrats to Demiurge for succumbing to the whines and rants of the sorhai players who demanded nerfs to 4* Thor, Iron Fist and the so called winfinite combo of Mystique and Modern Magneto.

The forum cheebye kias have nothing better to do than to whine. And apparently the developers are also sorhais that they failed to properly test the characters that they designed in the first place and simply release it and let people either buy the covers or work their **** off for it. MCCB. How nice for the devs to eat humble pie and admit that their brains were stuck at some cheebye.

Devs take note. Pull your thumbs out from where the sun don't shine and make sure that the release of Professor X isn't followed by his nerf one or two weeks later. From now on you better spend more time listening to the whining of the sorhais in this forum when ICEIX posts a preview of upcoming character in the Character discussion thread. From there you will know whether the new cheebye character is broken or just meh.

Btw I'm posting this because the devs prefer posts of people complaining to feed their hunger rather than good ol coffee and donuts.

I don't think forumites are the reason that forumites are upset today.
I was not inferring that the forumites were the reason for the character changes...I was simply making the observation that the forum is potentially a double edge sword. Nothing more.

We get our voices heard & most of the time it improves the game for the better but sometimes we might get something taken out of the game that we did not want to lose simply because it was deemed to be an exploitation of character synergy that was not originally intended or considered by the development team.
  • Hmm, after reading all the comments, I think we need a structure to help D3 see if there is a way to better listen to what the MPQ community requires.

My idea is terribly simple but not foolproof (thanks to trolls), but why not use an official poll?

    Example

Alright MPQ! We have received feedback that Iron fist's pink is too OP, so we are taking a poll to consider reducing the no. of black tiles produced OR increasing the cost from 5 to something greater. Please submit your preference here!

    Increase his pink cost
    > 6
    > 7
    > 8
    > 9
    > don't change

    OR

Reduce no. of black tiles produced
    > 8
    > 7
    > 6
    > no change

Like I said, my idea is NOT a foolproof one but it might help to ease the angst and unhappiness and ragequitters. I've personally lost a good player today because of these changes and it's a real pain in the tinykitty to recruit.

P.S. Drop me a Pm if anyone wants to join an easygoing top 100 alliance. you can see my recruitment thread here: http://www.d3pforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=22419

What? Who is doing that? It is still a game.

Indeed. FWIW, I think chasing those carrots is fun most of the time , so I see no problem with that. You just have to keep things in perspecitve and not take the whole thing too seriously.

Sorry, but I do take my time and money seriously. And don't like either to be wasted, especially by someone else.

with "it" I meant the game and not your time/money. Meaning you shouldn't take the game (or any game) so seriously that it has the potential to ruin your family, relationship or health. it's simple as that. If it's not fun for you to play -> stop playing. if it is (and you have the time) -> keep playing icon_e_smile.gif

There are a handful of players who understand the game very well, but I wouldn't expect the masses to be any smarter than the devs have shown to be. Hell, we have people posting "nerf Ares" threads.
