Very Dissapointed to see Nerf

I swear our country is being turned into a nation of crybabies.

People have spent a good deal of time leveling the characters and it is not right after they have spent money to do so to take that away. Where does it end once you have started down this path? Why should I continue to spend money and time? There are numerous characters that aren't playable because they are weak. Fix those instead of taking from players. I only just got Thor where he was playable and Wolverine still isn't. I face them all the time and beat them without using them or Storm(which is worse than both) Not once have I whined and cried to have the characters nerfed. I sucked it up and bettered my game and beat them or I passed on them until I could.

If you want to change something make it easier to find opponents you can beat instead of filling up your queue with stuff that is miles out of your league.


I have spent money leveling my characters but if this is what is going to happen I probably won't be spending any more as I feel I am being screwed out of time and money.

Please reconsider this. Sorry for the rant but this is just wrong.

A nation of crybabies indeed.... bottom line is, pvp is overpopulated with thor and wolverine. Weak characters are being improved. Strong characters are being brought down. Apparently brought down to their knees in a weeping pile of worthlessness if ragnarok is any indication. Thor and wolverine are my only leveled up big hitters and you know what? Im glad this is happening. Pvp is stale largely due to those two. My advice to avoid getting angry about nerfs in the future? Stop spending money on covers. There are plenty of avenues to earn them for free and all you have to do is play a fun game to get them

Thats all good and fine except I have spent time and money on leveling them. This isn't right. If you are going to do this sort of thing then reimburse the players that have these characters then it won't be such and issue. Give me back my action points and and the ISO it took to get them there. Opponent matching is what needs to be fixed it is terrible. Other than what they are now doing and the that issue I pretty much am quite happy with the game. These companies need to quit changing games because of crybabies.

Then, like a child getting his toy taken away, you immediately assume its the worst thing in the world and not something that could have positive repercussions for the game as a whole. Because it PERSONALLY affected you in a negative manner. A narcissistic viewpoint that a child would have.

An example was when they 'nerfed' Classic Storm. Her yellow power was game breaking and too many people were abusing it. So yea, people had something 'taken away' from them, but the game was better for it and she is still a viable 2 star character.

That stuff also^^ and all of us are forgetting it's not just 1 nation playing this game. More than just USA here, even though IMO saying crybabies kinda inferred it was us. Haha

I think the original poster has a valid complaint but at the same time I agree that Thor and Wolverine are overused. Generally speaking, when you nerf things in any game there is going to be backlash but nerfs rarely have the intended effect. For instance in this case, what will likely happen is people will just move on to the next "cheap character(s)" and that will lead to overuse of those characters. Gamers are going to find exploits it's in their nature. I think the suggestion to make other characters better is a good one. Classic Storm's yellow ability was a little bit OP but it could be overcome and so can the Wolverine/Thor/BW combo. When the nerf hit Classic Storm, I was unhappy as I hadn't had the opportunity to exploit her that others had, I immediately stopped leveling her and moved on to the next "cheap character".

But just in case you are sincere, they could be switching around abilities or making them affective in different ways. As someone who was burned by the Rag nerf, I think you have the right to be skeptical. But there's no use complaining about something when you don't even know what it is. Besides, if they increase every other 2* to compensate for Thor and Wolverine, you'll be in the same spot but they would have had to do a whole lot more work.

The nation of crybabies is the USA. I know there are other countries playing but Marvel is a US company and superheroes a US creation. That is why i didn't specify but I would guess this problem is probably not limited to us. Here they are training them in the schools to be little whiners and not play any games that would be to "Dangerous" but then I digress. At any rate back to the post you quoted which really holds no merit at it is a scathing example of inadequate reasoning. To his mind someone whining about the game being to hard is the same as a legitimate complaint of a company tampering with rewards that were earned and money that was invested. Clearly to very different things. Anyhow hopefully you see my point in addition to that waiting until the horse is out of the gate is to say something about something that is clearly wrong will only result in further frustration.

Dude, I've been here since day one begging devs not to nerf anyone. You can check my post history. I would rather have a roster full of monsters than a bunch of **** puppies. Or as I have said a few times, I don't want "a drawer full of butter knives."

I want more characters like Thor, Wolvy, OBW, (pre-nerfed) Rags, Doom, Modern Storm, Grey Widow, etc. Characters that can f**k you up if you ignore them. These are heros/villains and their abilities SHOULD be powerful and scary.

But at the same time, I'm not going to 'pre-whine' about changes because I know that change is inevitable in this game. You can only react to what is done and hope they act accordingly.

It is sad that you cannot tell the difference between a legitimate complaint directed at the developers and people whining that the game is too hard. Think on it a little you will get it eventually.

Huh??? Really not following this one. How am I trolling because I made my own topic? I wanted to voice a legitimate complaint to the developers. They never answered the feedback when I sent one before reporting a bug so I figured I would do both this time. Hardly trolling.

Again, I think your sincere, but when you were challenged with the idea that you complaint is about something you don't have information on, you decided to dismiss the idea instead of responding to it.

And yes, you can create you own topic to troll a forum. it happens all the time. As long as you pull people in to get them angry, it doesn't matter how you do it. Think about it a while. You'll get it.
