The DPD nodes are all about board control. Blade 3/3/3, max OBW, max 2* Thor

Start with 3 b/p boosts if you feel unsure, prioritize blue 1st 3 turns, then purple. Once you get your AP steal going, they actually fuel your abilities for you. The above was the screen right before victory. By that time, I had about 7 blade steals going.

You also need to *make sure* you clear attack tiles before a round ends and DO NOT use abilities on goons. Last wave was 2 CotS, 2 thunderstrikes and it was all she wrote.

Thanks revizion! That worked (even though my blade was only 4/0/2) The hardest part was juggling wave 2 with heals as I was blue starved after wave 1 (which had me REALLY low on health on all three). I needed every power I had (nearly 30's in all colors) to drop them, but I did.
  • I would suggest you continue building your 2* roster before stressing over 3* guys just yet. You should look into building up Thor, getting MN.Mags, Ares, and probably Wolverine and Cap. You've got a good start with your 3* guys (they're just not ready for prime time yet) so don't ditch any.

Check out the guides for transitioning in the Tips & Guides section. That'll help you out a lot. Remember that it isn't always about having the guys who can punch the hardest; having a diverse roster will help out by giving you tons more options of team compositions.

I appreciate the advice Pirate. My problem was I HAD a full 2* roster and I had to ditch some to make way for 3* covers. I'm only missing 4 3* guys (Panther, Daken, Cyclops, Thor -- mostly the ones that were rotated out when I started), the list above was everyone OVER 40. Unfortunately, when I ditched 2* I did so based on minimum ISO not on good 2* combo teams (silly me, thinking 3* guys could take over the job of 2*, so I ditched mags and ares). I'm trying to bring them back up, but it'll take a while. I have a 1* team to deal with DDP 1*.

    Thanks!

I had my best final fight so far using Hood 166, Lazy Cap 125 and Falcon 120, no boosts or team ups used, and lost a total of 5 hit points thanks to lots of shields. I also found that with stealing aps, the goons can't create as much CD tiles so you can spend more time farming AP's before the final round.

Going into the last round the enemy team had an total of 7 purple AP's, 2 peace-makers, 2 twin pistols and a couple of star spangled avengers to finish off the round once the stuns wore off and it was all over.

I might have been lucky this time with the minimal damage but last time when I used Hood, LCap and xforce, it was only xforce that took about 1600 damage.
  • I having been using OBW, LCap and Blade. As long as I can get aggressive recon rather quickly it all falls into place with LCap shielding and Blade taking AP from the AI the rest of them time. OBW is there for health and moral support when she is not stealing AP for me. This method does seem to take a long time to complete, however, I rarely lose any health if at all. Its a great combo for the waves.

    Falcon OBW and LCap
Have used them most days so far.
Key is to flood the board with protect tiles.
May need to use OBWs heal initially while the lower half of the board is filling up with protect tiles.
  • Yeah I have been using LCap and Falcon, plus one other. Storm good with her Black to flood the board (once you have Falcon's Protect and her Black out then the AI can't place many tiles) is a good third.

Also used OBW a bit as well but found Falcon to be more effective. My Blade is poorly covered but would imagine he would be great as well.
  • My very generic survival node strategy - Lazy Daken, Falcon, and Blade or Doc Ock. The combination of attack and strike tiles you can get out, enhanced by Falcon, gets to the point that you're doing 2-4k damage, easily, by the time the last wave comes along. Doc Ock has a bad reputation in general, and his blue power is, indeed, useless, but his black is fantastic in survival nodes in general, especially if they're goon-heavy.

Since it's Shulk's day today, try this for funsies:

Shulk / Squirrel Girl / Cyclops

    Full rainbow abilities

Shulk blue actually buff SG purple because SG purple gets no bonus damage from countdown tiles, but Shulk blue change countdown tiles to strike tiles.

Mutant Revolution into Shulk red for AoE and board shake.

SG green for random and unpredictable cascades.

I used this combo with Daredevil in place of Shulk yesterday and it works just as well, just no AoE red. But Mutant Rev into multiple Ambushes is oh so satisfying.
  • My go to team for most survival nodes including DDQ is a maxed Steve (3/5/5, 166) Hood, (5/5/3, 105) and IM40 with one yellow cover at lvl 65.

Hood is the thief, IM40 is the battery and Cap is the shield dervish.

6 Yellow AP into a recharge gets you to your first red shield pretty quickly, leave one goon alive while you bulk up on AP and then go to town on the hero waves.

You will be using recharge, red shield, blue shields, and intimidate. It becomes self propagating very quickly especially if hood is leeching yellow/red/blue from whatever goon is there. A terrible board might make it hard to get started but once you do you can go forever. Use a R/Y boost if you want to start recharging off a single yellow match.
