i thought amazing spider-man 3 was blown off and they're rebooting again...

That's correct. Drew Goddard writing and directing The Spectacular Spider-Man, with a new, probably much younger actor, and Iron Man and the Sinister Six rumored to be appearing.

I just hope we don't get an angsty Toby Maguire Peter Parker again. I liked Amazing 2, they did a lot of things right.

    There fixed that for you.

And I likes Toby as Peter Parker / Spidie. For Spider-man you need a good Peter, and the one in Amazing did not do it for me.

My issue with Toby was he was a very convincing high-school Peter. I could never really buy him getting a job, having responsibilities (hurr) and getting married and such. He always looked like a dorky 17 year old to me.

Really? 'Grown up', he seemed like he barely had a job, could barely afford the rent when he paid it, and had a sad puppy story that attracted any girl who wanted a puppy. Maguire doesn''t have the presence to play an overconfident Parker, so he just came off as emo.

I think Garfield plays high-school Parker a little bit too egotistical from the get-go, but pulls off the heroic Spiderman persona well. Here too, I can't see him pulling off symbiote Spiderman.
  • Iron Patriot all the way. He should be 4* (we need a 4* villain badly, and he needs to be the big boss at the end of the Dark Reign story they stopped telling), and he should be like a version of Iron Man with powers that are worth activating.

My impression from the internet stuff I read is that the Iron Patriot suit lacks the same repulsor blast technology that the Iron Man suits sport; they could replace his usual red with a black "'Avengers', Assemble" power that works like a DA version of Fury's. Whatever else we can say about Fury's relative power level, his yellow is fun as hell to play. Putting an evil version on Osborne's Patriot would be thematically awesome.

We do need a villain. But I want Sinister Six rather than marvel's **** take on Lex Luthor.

4* Kang. 4* Ronan The Inquisitor. 3* Baron Zemo. 3 or 4* Red Skull. 3* Bullseye. 3* Kingpin (a reality, I think). 3* Kraven. 4* Sabretooth. 3* Goblin Norman and 2* Goblin Harry....

All of them interest me more than Less Luthor.

These villains are fresh in the mind of kids, thanks to Disney XD's Avengers EMH, Avengers Assemble, Spectacular Spider-Man, and current Spider-Man series.

I dig them. I think Ronan could be dope. He could be the first baddy released in the standalone Guardians story mode leading up to the release of Thanos.
  • I don't know. Regardless of how good or bad of a character he is, Osborn is the head of HAMMER and the big bad of this storyline. It feels pretty dumb to run around dealing with Dark Avengers versions of people like Hawkeye and Black Widow and not have the DA answer to Iron Man/Nick Fury/Captain America. Also, since IM40 is so lackluster, I'd like to see a guy in a robot suit who doesn't suck in game.
