It's really fairly obvious. Pick characters that snowball. Those are guys like Thor and obw in 2*, spider man and falcon at 3*, but mainly, and specially, blade.
Get a 355 blade and every single on of these will be easy. You can also use ldaken-if you don't have blade. Every one of blades abilities become ridiculously overpowered if you have enough time to set them up.

I still use 2* Thor Magneto and Storm in all survival waves where it's an option. Using that team in the original run of enemy of the state's Black Hole Challenge I made it through 3 and a half sets. Simply speaking, Thor exists in the team purely as an outlet for yellow, barring some sort of emergency.

Go into the fight with blue and purple iso boosts for security if you like, and if you're really cautious the red/yellow as well. Typical strategy of purple into blue still applies, but with Thor you have the added dimension of yellow turning into green cascades for Storm to use Lightning Storm and generate you all sorts of ap. Note that ideal builds for this are a 3/5/5 Thor, 3/5/5 Magneto, and 5/5/3 Storm, but those are all the general best builds for those characters anyway. Magnetic Flux, while expensive, is absurdly powerful for survival waves.
