Survival nodes in Deadpool's Daily Quest

I liked going with Patch/LCap/Falcon the last time. Once you stored up 20 in Yellow/Red/Blue, it was game over. That said, I didn't have a usable XF then, so I will probably sub him for Patch and have an outlet for Black now.0

Patch/Loki
Throw Patch Green
Immediately Throw Loki Black
You now have buffed offense & buffed defense. Loki will throw out huge cascade damage from Patch's strike tiles. You will receive -1 dmg every turn from Patch's enemy strike tiles being converted to defense tiles. It's a beautiful thing.
Plus you have the best True Healing in the game. And you can shake up board to easily match away goon nodes/generate AP.
It gets even better when you face the goons who throw out those 400+ dmg strike tiles. let a few of them drop (~4) and then just have Loki black convert them to 400+ pt strike tiles for you.0 -
People are assuming these survival nodes are going to contain or have mostly goons. That may not be the case. This is for a 3* after all. It may contain increasingly difficult heroes.0

I found the best team by far was FT Storm and GSBW/Blade (any strong purple or black user)0

You can't judge survival nodes by Enemy of the State where the enemy has a person that can move the board every other wave at best. While Captain America is likely to be dominant, you need to have something that can deal with a huge build up of AP that is likely to happen over time. Captain America also cannot possibly stun lock against any 3 guys that can move the board even with 30 blue AP. Let's just say the survival node is 10 heroes in a single wave. You wouldn't have any opportunity to stun luck until the last 2 guy and chances are the fight is decided one way or another by then. Now if that setup is broken into 2 waves of 5 then you get a breather earlier, but again you've to remember that just because you've the board totally locked up on first wave doesn't mean wave 2 with 3 guys that can move the board and possibly a lot of AP sitting around can't break it open. You got the same issue with Thor, as you'd need 27 blue AP to stun 3 guys that can move the board and that's probably not going to happen very often, and while Thor is very strong, having triple AP tiles that an opponent can use in an endurance fight is likely pretty dangerous. Sure 3 Smites will probably take out 3 guys immediately, but again if there are 10 heroes in a row then taking out 3 doesn't really do that much and the next move they make is going to have a lot of triple AP tiles that they could get. I don't think worrying about enemies outlasting a Captain America/Thor lockdown is going to be a problem unless they've at least 10 guys at level 200+, though I wouldn't be surprised if the game requires you to beat that (or harder) for a guaranteed 3*. Also if there's a fixed character requirement in the survival that'd make it even harder to assemble all the pieces for the lockdown.0

not sure I understand, but you can stockpile max 30 AP per color, meaning you can throw 2 red shields per one turn (ok, 3 in case after 1st throw you use obw recon to get additional red) returning AP after 3 turns. LCAPs red costs 11 AP. Or did you speak of blue shields as well?
Yes, I was talking about his blue as well. Sorry for the confusion, I should've said "stockpiled red and blue".
One downside of running him with Hulk is that Thunderous Clap has a high chance of destroying your protect tiles the more of them you put down. It's lucky that both of Cap's are so strong, losing one or two is manageable.0 -
I'll be chancing an off-topic post here. It's about the wave nodes in pve. I'm really really loving Bp mystique mnmags.
After a certain point u don't need to make matches anymore. And if all else fails invoke the kitty-scratch!0 -
In addition to MnMag/Mystique (normally with X-Force, but now with BP since X is restricted)
I also use Rags/Loki/MoStorm for endless loops. And just experimented with Thor(2*/3*)/Loki/MoStorm. Just keep building to use green on lighting to keep cycling AP.0
