So I had a few standard tokens to cash in after ISO-8 brotherhood.

The first 50 yielded nothing but 2* or less.
The next 35 looked empty until near the end when I finally pulled a gold token - but it was THE ONLY 3* I couldn't use - greentile.pngicon_rocket.png

    Was suitably bummed.

Started Enemy of the state, decided to cash in a standard token rather than beginning another stockpile - Scored purpleflag.pngicon_falcon.png which brings him up to a respectable level to use in the event (and boosted a useful power for those survival nodes)! Yay for the little victories!

Day 488, and I finally got my hands on a 4 Thor! A yellow cover for her popped out of a Lethal Intent token tonight, as well as a Black Deadpool from a standard token. It looks like asking my cat to cross her paws for luck did the trick tonight! \o/

Not really a "victory" per se, but it made me smile:

I was in a PvP match yesterday, running LThor and Deadpool. I had my 3 year old daughter for the day, so when I collected 14 purple, I showed her the screen and told her to push the purple button, then the green button. She giggled her little butt off when that whale came crashing down. Making her laugh > anything in MPQ for me.

    My victory:

Haven't pulled a single 3* cover in token draws since mid January. Today, pulled a yellow Star Lord with a standard token!
  • Small victory from a couple days ago: Joined a bracket super late for Lethal Intent, as I knew my barely covered Gamora was just going to make me a punching bag for retals. Pushed up around 700 when I started getting blasted, had to shield earlier than I wanted. Watched the scoreboard for a couple hours while doing other stuff, top 5 was way out of reach but top 10 was not out of the question. Waited for the last 20 minutes and made a move, used some Iso boosts and started smashing face. Last win put me over 800, just barely good enough for top 10. Opened my event token, blackflag.pngicon_elektra.png , my first. I'll take it.

Wooo! *Finally* managed to get a taco token to cough up a taco supreme instead of a fresco style. My 14th taco token (or 12th? whichever day we're on) gave up the gold, and a red Daredevil stared me in the face. Handy, as that's the last cover I needed to complete his 5/3/5 build. I might just give him an advance loan on some ISO-8 to see how nicely he plays with Patch (so to speak).

won a match using 2* Cap, Moonstone & the heroic bag-man.

the 2* Taco battle - just thought I'd throw 'em in for a laugh.

was an interesting battle as I couldn't remember what colour to prioritise as I couldn't remember what they were good at (if anything!)

Was surprised that moonstone held her own rather well, Bagman was of course brilliant & good ol' Cap made the tea.

Makes a nice change when you can toss in any old characters & not worry if they win or lose

WOO! (I hope this doesn't count as a necro - not sure what this forum's general intervals are on the matter. A week? A month? Anyway, if ~10 days is too long and constitutes a necro, feel free to delete/lock as appropriate.)

I'm just a bit excited because I decided to gently tug on my cat's tail for luck before opening a token (she was slightly less pleased with the ritualistic gesture than I was), but it worked! I saw that glorious gold, and managed to pop another red Luke Cage, bringing my fussy-faced Harlem resident up to a spiffy 2/5/2!!

In the realm of the "firm 3*star roster, 4*stars still a ways off", I will say that a team of Patch (4/4/5, 166), Luke Cage(2/5/2, 114), and Lazy Daken(5/5/3, 166) is rocking the house for me so far in the Marvel Women tournament. Patch and Daken tank every color for Mr. Cage, and, considering true healing & Lucas' protect tile, the enemy has to deal upwards of 600+ damage in a match/attack to get any damage to stick (assuming there are at least seven blue out for Mr. Daken, of course), it's been a heck of a climbing team.
  • I've had incredible luck with my pulls. I'm less than 140 days in, and have pulled 5 or 6 X-Force covers from Heroic tokens and season 10-pack progressions.

Before I knew that spending ISO on standard tokens was stupid I bought maybe a dozen of them - 4 were gold.

Taco Tokens have been an epic source of imcoin.png for me... I'm up 1750 so far icon_eek.gif
  • I got a doctor doom from a taco the same day he was rewarded from playing the missions. Was pretty happy with that even if he's still not playable for me, since he was vaulted for 3 months.

Day 453 and I just leveled my first 3* to 166. Watching 40K ISO disappear for what seems like just a few extra levels took some courage.

During this cycle of DDQ, I was getting repeatedly stomped trying for the purpleflag.pngicon_mystique.png cover. I decided to open my taco tokens while I waited for my health to recharge and the one gold token I got was purpleflag.pngicon_mystique.png. I tried one last attempt at the DDQ later that day and squeeked out a win...using Bullseye of all people. Between that event and some random token pulls, Mystique has jumped from a two-cover character I've had for a while now but could never really use to my highest leveled 3-star in the span of only a week or two. Good times...

While I can't in good conscious call her "good", Moonstone has really carried my team in several events--especially when she's boosted.

Ha, I definitely empathize - I am notoriously stingy when it comes to doling out the ISO-8, and leveled my first to 166 not that long ago.

In other news of the karmic wheel spinning, I've not been getting much love from the taco tokens, but my eyes were bulging when a purple Iron Fist popped out of a standard token tonight!
