Okay, I'm past that, and I'm finally in the third sub. I've actually gotten pretty good, but I've determined that the only way to really get by is stun locking. Not very fun. More importantly, victory comes down to who you take out first. But I've gotten to a match where this doesn't really work. I'm at Simulation 35 With lvl 177 Panther, 178 Psylocke and 178 lazy thor.

Mine were at 150 and I beat them first go 'round with Hawkeye/Magneto/Storm & +3 Blue/Purple, +3 All AP, and Crit Damage Boosts. Opening a purple match helped, of course, but I just focused damage on Black Panther, stunned Thor, let Speed Shot take out BP, rinse repeat re-stunning Thor when I got the chance, and letting Speed Shot chunk him out. Pyslocke was practically dead after the second Wind Storm, so it was over once I Speed Shot'd Thor.
  • Deadpool's Whale power with max points is best way I found to finish the final Level (42), being unable to use Wolvy or Thor kicked my butt...
  • What are people using to beat Global Domination: Essential 18 - The Punisher ( Lady Thor, Cage and Loki)? For the life of me I cannot get this one. My Punisher is weak so he is just a hindrance.

Punisher, Captain America, and The Hood. If your Punisher is too weak, use X Force instead. If you don't have X Force, well, that can get pretty tough. Twin Pistols does a lot of damage since The Hood has a 30 level boost. Once you get rid of Loki it's a pretty simple defend the red/yellow deal, since the AI can almost never use Jab Jab Cross effectively.

If you have a decent mystique, pair with modern mags and get their routine going. You will want a good amount of blue/purple saved before using powers, because the turn you start using their blue/purple repeat should be the turn that kills loki. Fire punisher red if you have it once they hit 30/40% health.

The Gauntlet is like the Game of Thrones; you win or you die.

Occasionally, that death will be a Stark but conveniently you have to power to perform a resurrection every now and then. To win, you need to have the Gods on your side; the Old and the New. It also would help to be able call upon some wolves. Maybe even have some friends in the sky so you can fight fire with fire. Or a mistress of the elements who can summon demons. Ultimately, you will need to pay the price. The price of having a large army at your disposal to deal with those bruising hulks and juggernauts. But for all those shields and battleplans, you must also need to use espionage. Someone who can shapeshift to keep your enemies closer and provide you escape plans to avoid those ambushes.

And like the Game of Thrones, you would probably be better off just sitting it out at your local tavern.

Hey Demiurge, GoTPQ. Make. It. happen.

Game of thrones Puzzle quest... ..That'd probably sell really well too! ?More than Marvel puzzle quest?

Anyway Gaunlet is crazy - but I love it. It's my favourite.

Wiped more than 15 times on Cmags, Bpanther, Sentry. But finally, finally beat it! The relief is incredible.

For Gauntlet you really need a well covered, well levelled, diverse roster. Having 2*'s boosted is amazing though. It balances out the playing field.
E.g. I no have Stevie Rogers - DO have leveled star.pngstar.pngicon_captainamerica.png when boosted = kinda the same.
Used icon_captainamerica.png , icon_hood.png & X-f icon_wolverine.png (I know right!?) to beat my death node. Boosted +3 on all, Cap stuns, X-f using blackflag.png gets more blues from Bpanther then Cap stuns again & Hood reduces counters. Could replace X-force for another damage dealer, LThor wouldn't be bad if using X-force - get yellows back from Cmags + Sentry.
(How can someone have X-force at 4/4/3 and not have Steve Rogers? - Sacrifice to the RNG!)

TL/DR: Gauntlet - Don't give up, try different combinations, boost, get lucky.

A second option would be IM40, Lazy Cap + Captain Marvel/Hood/Loki/MMN. blue/red/yellow boost if needed. Obviously the key here is to get LCap steamrolling, so collect red, yellow, blue. Prioritize red to deny DP's haircut. Yellow is for IM40 who at level 2 yellow can generate red/blue for you (IM40 5/5/2 works great with 4hor as well). Hood/Loki/or Cap Marvel are vehicles to delay and trip up the enemy in the case of Hood/Loki or to tank and generate red in the case of Cap Marvel. I used a team like this to take out a nasty Thor node in Gauntlet sub2. With MMN, you want to use his purple to generate the blue for Lazy Cap -- this has a nice ancillary benefit of denying DP purple for his whales.
Thanks for the LCap + MNMags suggestion. Rode that combo (plus Frank) to victory in the last 2 essentials of the hard sub.

As mentioned in the post above, I went LCap and MNMags, boosted. My Punisher has 10 covers but isn't very leveled up and generally is too slow for the group. I was able to get a favorable board (purple and blue heavy), and generated a ton of blue to keep certain characters stunlocked. Downed Loki first to get rid of that green ability and was able to overwrite Luke's protect tile. Went after Lady Thor and then Luke. Team ended up with a lot of health left, surprisingly. Frank was mostly an afterthought, using his green and black whenever I accumulated enough of it and then using retribution on Luke at the end to make the game end quicker.

I'm at Global Domination Simulation 37 with DDino at lvl 191, Colossus at 192, & OBW at 191. Any suggestions? Thinking of going with Lcap at 127, Xforce at 143 and boosted Daredevil at 162, but any others would be appreciated. IGN is jarkem, alliance is Kick Azz Hero

If people asking for help could post their alliance name, and in game name, we can look it up and give you advice based on your roster. Of course you would use Xforce and Thor for every node, but a lot of people don't have those characters.

Sub 2 is the sweet spot for fun for me, because winning the match might just be a matter of carefully choosing the right team for the job. Unfortunately, I think you are now at the point where its less about fun and more about winning the rewards. I guess you need to decide if the rewards are worth the cost of boosts and health packs.

I can tell you that Storm and mnMags can win the entire thing by stun locking with full boosts no matter the enemy level. Not fun, but it works (for a price).

Looks like the last 4 or 5 pins are going to be 395's for me.
The previous times that Gauntlet was run, only the last 1-2 pins hit max level. That seemed to make sense - like it would result in a better granularity across the whole gauntlet for where people could play up to.

Anyway, 395's do hit like trucks and I've had some unlucky cascades, so I'm taking a break. Is there a thread which lists who's in each of those pins? I'm planning on relying on XF + Hood + Daredevil for these; it's a little hit-and-miss but when it goes in my favour, I can usually get through with very little damage.

I think i used x force + magstique for that 2nd last node. Not as good a combo as the one below though...

    You can also try:
Mag.stique + DD (esp if he has 5 red covers)

It's so fun to have match 4 or 5s trigger Ambush when u're spamming with Mystique's Blue or MnMags purple abilities

Also i just learnt that if u trigger 2 or 3 of his red traps in one match 3/4/5, you only get one back :/

Other problem is if Mystique's Blue has eliminated all red from the board, you lose the Ambush tile then, even if red drops in from the top. First world problems...

I have been using Hood/LCap/OBW. Deny ap red and blue shields start rolling and its game over. Just have to watch for bad cascades.
