Did you? Also did you get the rewards expected because of this speedrun or did you even know you had too? This is open to any response about this topic.

When I saw the reward structure. I was like... erm... I'd just be better off buying THREE Heroic ten pack from the store given how much I would have to spend on health packs just to hit the top 10 quickly...
Plus the drop distrubition from that pack offers me NOTHING
So I just didn't bother.0 -
I happened to be home all night, so I figured what the kitty, I'd try a speed run and see if I can snag a 10-pack. I have a somewhat deep roster, but it didn't occur to me to use boosts. (I don't normally use them at all, unless I know I'm fighting above my weight.)
I managed to clear the first sub in about 45 minutes, which was good enough for 95th place. Oh well. I'll take my standard token and call it a day. I collected five standards in the first sub, and one of those turned out to be a , so I'm happy. I honestly don't understand all the kvetching I've seen in other threads.0 -
I did the first two subs as a speed run, because why not? This occurred at a time I would be playing anyway, I thought I had a decent shot at the 10 pack, and it didn't cost anything to try it. Ended up getting it for the second sub.
I didn't bother for the third sub - I was down to two health packs so wouldn't have made it through in one shot, and I wasn't going to spend hp to make it possible.
I haven't had trouble clearing the simulator in the past, so an extra carrot to try it fast seemed like a fun challenge.0 -
Yep- took it as a challenge and wanted to see how it would go. I knew going in that the first stage would be the hardest because it's the easiest and more people can push. I was in first for a few nodes, but gradually fell and finished at 8th. Starting the second immediately put me in the top 10 as only those who finished stage one could enter. I passed a couple people and ended stage two in 6th. There was much less pressure in stage three as even fewer people had gotten to that point. I could gauge by the leaderboard how much of a time cushion I had over 10th and play accordingly. My finishes were 8th, 6th, and 4th.
I did spend about 1100 HP net for 4-5 packs of health and +3AP boosts. I also ISO boosted every match with at least +3green/black and other colors as needed. The total time spent was about 2 hours 40 minutes. I know this will be a minority opinion and most people will disregard it, but I had fun speedrunning The Gauntlet. Normal PvE is a grind (better with 8 hour refreshes though) and PvP is fairly bland with X-Force and Thor. This was something new and only required one dedicated play time.0 -
The idea was fun, timing was bad since no time slicing. I rather slept than go for something which does not rewatd me if I only get 11th (or any near ranks)0

Was sitting at 30th when I finished non essentials in the first sub, just moved onto the second sub since top 10 in the first was out of the question
Ended up the 7th person to finish that sub...then started in the 3rd sub, I was the second person to finish that one. Only 7 people have even started it so far.
Spent 400 hp in all and boosted every match towards the end0 -
Yes , I tried because I was here when the Gauntlet started (midnight for me) and I have planned to play. So I said to myself, why not give a try to the speedrun?
It was quite exciting even if never managed to take a lead and stayed around 300ish. I finished 271. I didn't buy nor use any boost, plus I was defeated in two nodes. But even before the defeat I was around 300. Finally I cleared the first sub in nearly 60 minutes when the winners did it in 30 minutes. I am definitely not a speedrunner0 -
One of my alliance buddies happened to enter a fresh bracket and managed to finish 8th. He doesn't have anyone over level 140.0

Ran with x force L Thor and got 1st in first sub with iso boosts and one health pack purchase. More interestingly, someone in my bracket also got top 10 with just obw and 2* Wolverine. And his wolves wasn't fully leveled. Just a tip for you with weaker rosters0

After Quebbster let us know about the bracket switch, took a semi-speed-run (I actually fixed and ate breakfast in the middle of it) and took #8 in the easy sub, but I think I was pretty lucky to be able to do it. Didn't have to buy anything except a few iso boosts; I only boosted on the last few matches when I realized I actually had a shot at it.
Mainly Used Patch/Lazy Daken/Falcon, except for the essentials, to save on Health Packs.0 -
So you guys who made top 10, were they normal 10 packs or were all the cards 3* plus like so many people assumed?0

Dang, the suspense must be killer!0

I'm going to guess regular 10 pack. I checked the odds in the characters recruit screen for the gauntlet, and the odds are not too much different from other events. I even bought one, just to see what I would get, (yes, yes, i know. My curiosity got the better of me). All I got was a black Punisher. But since both of mine already have 5 covers in black, I had to sell it. So, I'm going to say that the top 10 placement packs are just regular 10 packs. Which means I'll be playing this event like I have in the past, just casually at my own pace.0 -
No one should care about missing out on a 10 pack. in general all token pulls are absolute ****.0
-
I imagine the placement rewards won't be given out until the event is over, like every other event placement reward. So we'll have to wait another 4 days to really confirm.
Hopefully some of those winners will post here with what they got so we all know0 -

I have been fantastically lucky on token pulls. Especially season 7. I bagged two Invisible woman, a sentry, a punisher and a steve rogers. Needed all of them. Never got less than 2 useable 3 or 4 stars. Season 10 I got my 12th Steve Rogers an Elektra and a Spider-man. Pulled my 13th Steve Rogers a week later from an event token. I also very recently had a 5 day run of scoring a 3* I needed every day from standard tokens.0
