Alpha level mutant. Omegas are either reality manipulators or incredibly extreme examples of their particular powers, like Xavier.

You got me, I only follow the movies/TV and that stuff is hard to keep track of. I just know she's super-powerful and if Storm were a villian/used her powers recklessly she'd cause alot of chaos.

That she is, much like most xmen. Bobby Drake AKA Iceman is omega level though. Functionally immortal, capable of animating copies of himself, instant teleportation and awareness of anywhere that has humidity, etc. Jean Grey was one at the high of her power, and Emma Frost's psychic abilities are omega level too.

you and me both...I'm clinging to top 50 with just over 600...though that's still better than what I'd expect 600 to normally get (top 100 or so) in the average PvP...

Did you guys join a late bracket? Or was this for all brackets?
I couldn't make it to the end of event, but it seemed I was getting hit a lot and my bracket was still decently competitive before last day.

looking back at my bracket i think i know why. I thought it said a later time. I joined at 9pm est it closed at 10pm so i joined in the last hour that is why it was so easy (fresh bracket) is one thing BUT 2nd thing is i usually hit 220 to 270 before hitting the 3 star wall i was 350 (with 2 skips) before i hit the wall so scored even higher) going to see what fridays bring)

I am really disgusted .. i was 46 .. I entered after 3 hours and I found: "you lost -121" .. now i am 136 !!!
This thing makes me lose the desire and the enthusiasm to play at MPQ..

Don't get disheartened, you need to learn the right patterns for PVP. I don't know your roster but assuming you have maxed 2* stars like me but dont yet have useable 3 stars, your best bet is to climb to 300-400 points for the reward early in the event. come back with less than 8 hours left, win as many as you can, then throw up the 8 hour shield. being unshielded over ~400 points, especially in the last 8 hours, is a bad idea.

One other quick tip for 2* players... if you are relying on StormNeto you are basically wearing a really big "KICK ME" sign on defense (much like BagMan, but at least he shows you his sign in the picture!). before ending your play session, try winning a match with Ares and OBW so that they will be your defensive team. I don't have stats on this, but anecdotally I find i get attacked less often this way.

When you say "before ending your play session... a match with Ares and OBW" do you mean in the PVE ?
Usually i use Thor 2* Ares 2* and Storm 2*.. i have also 3* characters but not so strong..
It's incredibile that every time i enter the game i find "you lose... -30, -40, -80".. is it possibile that i never win?

No Ale Kal El, he means in whatever PvP event you used stormneto in. There's a PvP guide in the tips area of this site.

I was a 2* played about 2 seasons ago, and have been transitioning since. You're not far off. Just keep at it. I managed, on a couple of occasions, to get top 100 score with stormneto, so it's not impossible (was in easy brackets, with a score of 500-550).

What you should really be focusing on is events like Balance of Power and Combined Arms, where character levels don't matter as much. Also, focus on getting 4000+ score in season. It is doable, if you can get 300-400 per event and then add in some of the simulator, you should be golden. Again however, make sure to do the simulator early (before 3 days to go in a season) as the latter part of the season is a bloodbath when it comes to simulator scores, as all the big dogs come to the yard to play

There was a much larger late push in my slice than I expected. I broke my shield about 90 minutes before closing time in order to hit 650-700 and hopefully sneak into the top 25. Lost my last match on a bad board and quit the game ranked 42nd.

I figured I could leave myself unshielded and still make the top 100, after all it was the last 40 minutes of an out-of-season PVP that was after midnight west coast time (and between 3-4 AM on the east coast!). Surely I wouldn't get passed up by 60+ people, right?

Woke up this morning to find that in those 40 minutes I got smacked all the way down to 117th. Ouch.

Oh well, I didn't need that 0/5/0 Storm anyway.
