    If you're using him with XForce, not really. Surgical will keep their AP down just fine.

    Yay! I managed to snatch 900p Blade cover with a single shield usage. I had X-force/hood/low level Blade and I was getting a bit nervous when all I saw were maxed out thor/x-force/blade teams but I barely got attacked at all. I probably could have gotten Electra cover too if had spend more on shields but she is not that good anyway. Now I'm unshielded and I expect to get knocked back quite a bit.

    It's double ISO. They said so in the Star-Lord interview.

    Broke 1000 and got the Elektra progression cover, and then immediately ripped to shreds and lost 200. Immediately. I got very lucky there.

    Man, got to 900 but that was a tough one. Don't have a viable XF/4hor, so it was all on the backs of Patch/Hulk who ate a healthpack each round. Wanted that last Blade purple and it was cheaper than buying it. I think I spent 650 HP on it...

    Thanks Devs for giving a reward structure that are attainable and worth the fight. 900 for a 3* cover way better than a random token. Never bothered to get past 800 previously.

    I climbed to 1,000 points on my first attempt, no shields. That hasn't happened since shield cooldowns were implemented. I love the new progression levels. icon_e_biggrin.gif

    it took 2 shields but i managed 89th with 615 points and did hit 650 briefly for that prize...not bad for a 2* star roster and first time i've managed top 100 since the time slots started

    Ugh, I hear you man. Double Iso and lower progressions convinced me to go for the Elektra cover. Used Patch+Daken to climb to 600 yesterday. 700 was doable using boosts. After that, the 4* wall showed up. I would get to 750, but I would always wipe on the match after that. Finally caved and levelled XF from 70 to 220. Wow! XF+Cap made it so easy to reach 900. I'm definitely going to try to push to 1k next tourney. Since slice 1 tends to have lower scores, I finished first, ahead by 300 pts. Finally finished my IW. Hope this doesn't nudge me into vet brackets again.

    You will not regret this decision. X-Force is a blessing and a curse but I honestly don't know how people do halfway decent in PVP anymore without him.

    More Truth than you know. Once I got past 300, it was all X-Fixed(I may have seen a Patch or two).

    Currently just below 500, with an 8-hr shift later today...900 doesn't look doable... icon_neutral.gificon_e_confused.gificon_e_sad.gif

    i think the biggest reason X-Force helps is that up to a certain point nobody is going to bother attacking you (800? 900?) and that point is much lower with a 3* team

    Anyone who's worth 30 or more points is always worth attacking, but most people don't know that.

    True story, Phan. I will boost the heck out of a 48 point match up in the end of any event, regardless of who I might be playing. And I only have Patch/Hulk to do it.

    The problem for us non-4* folk is that we stick out like a sore thumb in a sea of XF/4hor skips at the high end of a bracket. At least all the 4* folk all look the same in skips, lol.

    With 5 minutes to go, I was #5 and #6 unshielded. The gap was only a few points. Then #2 unshielded too. I decided to wait it out and sure enough #2 lost enough points to fall below me.
    Never unshield in the final minutes.

    shielded up to 20 minutes remaining and was at exactly 100. broke shield, won two games and saw no retals or attacks. got #81. hello mr thor. now just need that yellow from progression. 2/1/2 aint the best but this guy is beefy as kitty buffed.
