But while Rags is a giant pain in PVE, you almost never see him in PVP
That's because there are two versions of Godlike Power. The one where the AI does it and gets at least one crit every time, and the one where you do it and don't even get a f''ing cascade.
No joke, I've been like "wake me up when it's my turn again."

I personally am still hoping they go the Daken route and release a ***/3-power "Bullseye (Classic)" in his original black&white costume

I see this happening as well, in fact I would all but guarentee that's how they will redo him. I can already see how they will do it to. First off, black will get redone completely, and his purple will remain the same but get scaled down.

I would almost say, have his black cost 6-9 AP and just be able to place 2 critical tiles, but in theory you could start to do some degerative things as well as increase chances of infinite turn. Because you could almost always create a match 5 doing that which creates another crit tile and if you had the AP, you can then create another one and another and if you get black on it you could in theory generate enough AP to keep casting black.

Then just go easy for his 3rd skill and make it like Chemical Reaction, Bullseye destroys x-protect tiles for damage.

All great ideas, Phaserhawk. Yes, I really don't see why they couldn't/wouldn't use the addition of ***Daken as the introduction model for a ***Bullseye.
    - Predictably scale down his purple but make it create two protect tiles at 5 covers in the *** version only (There seem to be so many new ways in-game to create OR account-for protect tiles, so the devs clearly want defence to be a thought-about part of the game.)
    - Tweak black to be more useable
    - add 3rd power that interacts with purple and/or black in some risk/reward fashion.
    Done.

why do we need 3* versions of every 2* in the game? Lazy copies are just that - lazy. There's a million more charecters they could intruduce. In the marvel world there is also no such thing as a 3* power bullseye....he's a pretty small fish IMO.

I personally like the Gold/Lazy Characters if they are done well.
    LDaken--Success
    LThor--Lame
    LStorm--Mostly Lame
    LCap--Success
    LTorch--Lame

What do the 2 success have in common? They are slightly different than theri 2* version but with benefits. Cap for example got a scale on his red as well as a protect tile on blue, this makes him the same but different. Daken creates 2 tiles instead of 1 and are stronger. LThor is litterally an exact copy just scaled up and Storm does have a slightly upgraded yellow blowing up 1 more tile, and her black scales better but other than that they suck. So if they do say a Lazy Hawkeye or Bullseye, as long as there is enough of a difference to make them superior than it's all good.

Ltorch came out before 2* Torch so I would say 2* Torch is lame.
  • Also L.Thor is crazy insane good if you are a 3* roster. I'd call him a success.

Giving Ragnarok a third power would be awkward. He doesn't even have a third color in match damage. What color would you even make it? Yellow? Make him a true Thor knock off? Black?

His third power should be a black passive called Glitch where every time you create a crit tile he stuns himself. icon_lol.gif

Yeah I'm torn to yellow or black. Just as a theme

Yellow because it would make him a clone of Thor
Black because it would make him slightly different than Thor but still functionally similar

I always considered 2* Torch LazyTorch. 2* Captain Marvel seemed interesting enough with a powerful black and ok yellow; enough change to not consider her lazy.

I'm sure they'd give Rags a proper set of three different color-strengths in his rebalance.

I'm hoping his third color is something other than yellow or black, as I'm really hoping the game can move further away from the oversaturated archetypes of redflag.pnggreenflag.pngyellowflag.png = Tank, redflag.pnggreenflag.pngblackflag.png = Damage

I personally would love for his third color to be blue, as he'd be the only redflag.pnggreenflag.pngblueflag.png other than She-Hulk.

I suppose it all depends on what his 3rd power actually does, and how it fits into the very-loose color/power theory the devs seem to go by.

It will almost certainly be black. All of the Dark Avengers (except Ares) have black as one of their colors:

    icon_bullseye.pngicon_daken.pngicon_moonstone.pngicon_venom.pngicon_yelena.png

In fact, almost ALL of the villians in the game have black as one of their colors:

    icon_bullseye.pngicon_daken.pngicon_doctordoom.pngicon_doctoroctopus.pngicon_hood.pngicon_juggernaut.pngicon_loki.pngicon_moonstone.pngicon_mystique.pngicon_venom.pngicon_yelena.png

The only ones that don't are Ares, Magneto (arguably not always a villian), and Sentry (also arguably not a villian). So I doubt the devs are going to go another route with Ragnarok, though I'm not necessarily in favor of another redflag.pnggreenflag.pngblackflag.png character

I'd love to see Rags get a 3rd power that makes him relevant in PvP. He was the first 3* I got fully covered, and was actually really fun to play when he was in Lightning Rounds, so I do have a soft spot for him. I do find it amusing how low he is ranked in the character rankings compared to how much people hate to face him (at least from what this thread seems to indicate).
  • I'm gonna say that Update 70 will be the new Daily PVE that has been mentioned in other threads. Seems like a pretty big change and would fit with the theory of big things come at the Updates ending in 0.

how about Godlike Power ending the turn?

if that's too much of a nerf, maybe increase its damage a bit?

I think the easiest nerf would be raise the cost to 7 ap for both of his powers.

MPQ is a weird game. If you double his ability damage, and increase costs to 9ap, he'd be worse than he is now.
