MPQ Interview At Marvel.com: Squirrel Girl Arrives!

    Why is it that these "interviews" get posted a couple days later than the characters are released and people already have formed negative opinions. Seems to me that Demiurge has some terrible marketing people. If you want people be to excited about a character like this, put out the propaganda first, then the character. Before people say how the characters art looks bad, put out information that the comic artist helped the design - first. You can't just spring this stuff on us, without the marketing and expect us to be happy about it. Even your Facebook and Twitter feeds are always a day late on news.

    And if you are making a comedy character, release it in connection with something comical, like April Fools Days, or Squirrel Appreciation Day.

    I don't think the series artist helped with the character design in MPQ. The interview just states that she made some art for a PvE event background and her character icon. Her in-game art was probably drawn by the usual MPQ artist who has difficulty drawing non-awkward-looking human expressions.

    Just because it may be 100% true doesn't mean there is an interview about it, hence my point.

    Glad to see that there are some people that are not complete humourless jerks. All this hate for SG is totally unwarranted. And wow, her Green power seems ridiculous at 5 covers.

    I am all for having a sense of humor. I love Deadpool and very much enjoyed his event. The issue is that there are so many good heroes and villains they could release, and they come up with Squirrel Girl. Where is Silver Surfer, Warlock, Nightcrawler, Professor X, Jean Gray, Red Skull, Thanos, Green Goblin, Carnage, Cyclops, Bishop, Cable, Ghost Rider, Jubilee, Archangel, Gambit, Iceman, Sabertooth, Lady Deathstrike, Kingpin, Rogue, Mr Sinister, Omega Red, or any one of a number of intriguing characters? Instead, we get Squirrel Girl so Marvel can market one of their latest comics. I'm not impressed.
