I'm interested in what an ares/punisher/obw team can do.

The red and green overlap doesn't hurt because they serve different functions, early game red you want team aoe damage while late game you want punishers finisher. Same with punisher green strike tiles vs Ares green finisher.

This, I have been thinking this was going to be the team to beat once the wolvie/thor nerfs hit.

This is what I am running currently playing with. My Ares is only 50/85 at the moment , but so far it's performing well. Using Ares red early/ green late , Punisher green early, red late. OBW stealing after I use Ares green to lessen how much I give them. So far I like it, should improve as I get Ares up more.

As with any new cover, you're pretty much guaranteed to have him buffed within the next week or so. This rewards the active players as well as people who dished out HP to get the respective covers.

I don't know why i wouldn't keep him. Using the covers I've won and the iso from The Hunt he is 4/3/4 and lvl 51. By the end of The Hunt I expect I'll have him at 4/4/5 lvl 85. As a bonus I'll hopefully add another IW cover and can slowly begin to level her because she looks like the bag has been lifted off of her.

Ares is a solid character. If I didn't already have a couple of 3*'s and a few maxed 2*s, he would definitely be one of my main go-to characters for every match. ISO is mostly the only thing holding me back, but I will level him a little and make sure I fill 13/13 of his ability slots.

At least they give you the freebie lvl 15 version to compete as well as getting a few covers in the progression rewards. Though honestly, I feel like anyone who was even remotely active in the Hunt should have a few covers already.

I'm with you - I think most people expected it (though admittedly, I assumed the Hunt would finish before he made his tourney appearance). Though unlike you, I will probably not have mine at 70 by EOD. Depends on if I win any villains during LR.

My brilliant idea of tanking my sub brackets to around the 400th place to avoid getting Ares totally backfired on me. Maybe I'll take it easy on this tournament for a change.

I think they just changed it from plastic to paper. Once the other impending nerfs/buffs hit maybe she will be able to take it off completely every so often.

Just tried the new guy in the tourney, worked really great. (too bad I got stuck in the hulk tournament originally planned to harvest the hunt item ending the same time for 2 more Ares...)

Though will need to think up a good team not competing for green and such.

She was a little better against the 200-ish mobs in her forced mission than before, at least summoned a 200 shield while neutered 2 daken swords. then got sacrificed to Ares. Dealing ~450 pts for every green AP is quite cheesy, especially as he immediately found a cascade to get 6. Though I think IW fell to the next sunder Ares still managed to shell out to go down before healing up. Again I won with the last man barely standing.
