My alliance is in my sig. If you search 'xstat' both the main and secondary alliances will come up. Both of our alliances do not reach top 100 but our main has missed maybe a total of 5 or 6 top 100s in the previous 9 seasons and has never missed a final season top 100 ranking. Our secondary alliance is mostly 2* or transitioning teams with whatever vets happen to be taking it easy at the time, or not needing the alliance reward. They usually place top 250, although sometimes lower, so I can understand the issue you are referring to.
Anyway, we're not really arguing here, even if you do get 2 covers per pvp and 2 covers per pve that puts you with 5 covers after the initial release window (I'll give you pve progression too), maybe 7 after they run through them again in the next 4-6 weeks, but then what? You hope they're featured in pve again? Otherwise you wait another 2+ months for them to get back around to bein pvp rewards again. Even then you only have 9 or 10 covers at best! I suppose that's slightly better than your 2* guys! but it doubt it's going to make you that much more competitive in pvp. And with more new characters on the way this issue will only get worse.0 -

Pretty much. only the lucky few players who happen to end up in cakewalk brackets or players with maxed out 3's can hold on to that top 25 status they have shoved the 2 cover rewards into. and that's very easily the minority of the player base. Mix that in with the dodgy featured character windows and the abysmal token rates of 3*s (and certain specific 2*s) and its a recipe foe some of the worst character progression i have seen in a game.
But hey....I should be thanking Demi for not giving me the easy way out by having basic, decent token pulls. Cant make this too easy on us. We may be in danger of having non-masochistic based fun.0 -

There is quite the gap between spending 30+ hours for event tokens getting nothing but 2* Moonstones and Easy Mode.
You get a lot more than just a couple 2*. You get ISO and boosts which also have their value. Even if you pull 3*'s all day from event tokens you'll be in the same boat you are now except you'll be saying they don't give us enough ISO. I've been sitting on like 5 fully covered characters and no ISO to give them. The people that have an advantage over you already will have an even GREATER advantage if the drop rates were higher. You'd never get ahead and the best thing to do is pray the guy with a roster slightly ahead of you has a run of bad luck while you continue your good luck spree.0 -

A full covered 94 lv is far more powerful than any 2*0 -

Yes i agree with you. I m transition and i think i do well in both PVE and PVP with my 2* roster, but ..... 166 wall is difficult to pass.

Agree, this is a problem. I'm in same situation, get initial covers and then hope to find them again - it can be really difficult. I'm in in for the "long haul build" as D3 intends (sort of), but any new characters - even if good - are garbage until you get enough covers to make an ability matter. 5/1/1 is often much better than 3/3/3. But then you have to get really, really lucky to get more covers unless you are already in high 166 range (where you probably are working on 4* and extra 3*'s aren't helping that much).
Colossus is one of my least covered 3*'s, 3/1/2 is all I've been able to find - and now he is rotated out, making it impossible to make him any better now (another problem). Will there be another Blade event to get my 3/4/2 any higher before he rotates out? This is made worse by having the same cover given to alliances and single players - if you happen to have 5/1/1 and the event gives the cover that you already have five of, you are now waiting for the next event - coming farther and farther apart with each release. This is made worse again by having the same covers run over and over - my 5/3/5 hood and 4/4/5 hulk have each sat through three events that have given no needed covers, since they don't run rewards in order for some reason.
Nothing rotated out means to big of a pool in the tokens, that is the 'problem'. So make the tokens drop about 10%, with every character available! Tokens would be exciting again, you could have the possibility build your entire roster, and even if you toss them out they are worth more ISO than the constant 2*'s.0 -

LOL, so is this the official take on the transition? Not supposed to be an easy button????
There is quite the gap between spending 30+ hours for event tokens getting nothing but 2* Moonstones and Easy Mode.
Instead of "beating this to death", why don't the devs actually do something to address it? Playing this game for naught is beating ourselves to death.
Your next comment may be, well don't play. Instead of defaulting to this take, why not question why the devs don't want to improve the game based on stringent opinions from those that put money in their pockets and food on their table?
Easy Mode... MPQ allows player the ultimate EASY MODE by purchasing everything. Fear of an easy mode is a lie and not the reason.
Ok, then we should just lower the token drop rate, oh wait...
huh? I'm fine with people purchasing whatever. I've done it in the past, it's the only way to progress in this game at anything other than a snail's pace.
Easy Mode... MPQ allows player the ultimate EASY MODE by purchasing everything. Fear of an easy mode is a lie and not the reason. Devs think it's easy playing every 3 hours, barely scoring t100 in pvp using purchased HP to shield? Increase the 3* drop rates. Make event tokens actually mean something. Make playing this game for HOURS actually mean something. I've been getting more 3* from standard tokens as of late FFS.0 -

Yeah and the thing is...as a 3 month old player working on building 3* team...I DONT WANT NEW CHAR COVERS...I want LDakens,, BP, LThor, etc etc. You know, the 3* chars vets are able to play and win with? New players barely have a chance to "catch up" with all of these forced new chars in PVE, abysmal %'s at well established 3*, and shot at t100 PVP.
The Devs have done an awesome job with many of these new/revamped chars, but please give new/transitioners a better chance at already established 3*'s.0
