Spend ISO/Use Covers & Upcomming changes

@Eddie
Well good for you. But scores reducing made no damn sense to me to begin with.
If I was actually participating in a real true player to player match, and I lost that match, then I only have myself to blame. But if I lose my scores simply because some guy was desperate enough to whack me, without me actually directly participating, then that would be stupid.
And did I mention how quick the negative scores can stack up when you are targeted by multiple players at the same time?
If you think losing your scores made sense, then why bother using Shields? Just let your scores drop then.
It gives me more covers to collect and more tournament engagement. If I could respec I would be reduced to Ares covers and 4*s at this point.
I can understand how some people would appreciate challenges in true character building, with no undo, no respec, and be proud of their end result.
But most of us would rather not spend at least twice the time that we already had spend to make another new character. And most of us would rather prefer not the hang themselves over one simply silly mistake. (Which is what it would feel like when you realized you just **** your build. Don't tell me it's never happened to you before.)0 -

But honestly, so did the Shield system, as well as the pretty cover purchase interface, am I wrong?
You're wrong, The pretty cover purchase interface is more than likely just reskinned, the code is the same. The shield system is a lot easier as well. All the need to know with the Shield system is "Is there a shield? Yes prevent point loss; No don't prevent point loss"
With the respec system depending on how they are planning to do it, it may require the logic to remember what level, how many covers of each color, how much iso was spent, and are different color covers optional. For instance if my spidey is 3/5/5, can I change it to 5/5/3 even though I don't have the extra yellow covers? if not do I just lose the iso spent to level up and it becomes 3/5/3 while I wait on the other two yellow covers? While all that data will be stored in a table, it'll probably be a new table, depending on the structure they already have set up and it will require review other code to see if that table needs to be accessed by anything else that already exists. Or I suppose it could be as simple as adding the info to an existing table, but still updating all the current calls to that table to acknowledge the new columns in the table.
So yea if I had to guess, respecing is 10x more complicated than the new interface and shields combined. But hey what do I know?0 -
There is another alternative though. One that doesn't need very much coding or debug. And you don't even need a respec if that option is considered. I'll post more later.0
