If it makes anybody feel any better, I am asking question about this situation. I don't agree with the compensation awarded in this situation, but let's give them a grain of credit here; they didn't give him token(s) compensation like they used to do. I want to give the benefit of the doubt that the person that compensated his account didn't realize the scope of what was missed and such.

I must say, you gotta love the hardcore PVE grinders -- they are a true asset to any alliance. We all likely know one of these hardened stalwarts who we love to have in our alliance because they often can single-handedly carry you to top 25, scoring enough points for about 3-4 average players. I'm not sure what makes them tick, but lots of love. Salut.

So d3 kicks out bbomber because he doesn't invest ISO in his players, uses good strategy in events, and is an f2p player. Way to show your playerbase appreciation d3

The process is automated. He is truly the %1, I mean, that's a lot of ISO-8 and Hero Points. Most people would only dream of having that much but with the amount of trainers and hacks floating around the internet that give you gobs of ISO-8 and Hero Points instantly, it's a good baseline to start with watching for cheaters. It's unfortunate enough that this happened, let's not use his lose as some misguided platform. Have a little tact, my friend.

That being said, I brought it to the right eyeballs and they are supposed to be relooking over his ticket and reassessing the compensation. Let me know how it goes.

Even tho it is automated, d3 took a long time to respond. Even on holidays, they should be looking for these kind of issues, as these are some of the more urgent.

Felt a dedicated thread was required, as opposed to a post being buried in an event thread. I'd just like to give a special shout out / huge thanks to guys that slow down / halt their progress so others can get covers. I had been grinding Thick As Thieves, and originally only wanted a Top 10 finish. If Top 2 was within reach, I was gonna go for it. After a few days, I was in 2nd, behind BBBomber of The Enlightened. Held that spot for a few days until last night, when Sumilea of S.H.I.E.L.D, leapfrogged me for 2nd. Both guys had a cover maxed IW already, and thru posts in the TaT thread, they said they'd let me pass to get my first IW green ( already had 1 yellow and 3 blue ). Thought I was gonna have to kiss that cover goodbye, but glad that these guys allowed me to grab it.

Hey everyone, sorry this took as long as it did! it's a slightly embarassing mix-up. We have a system for flagging cheaters and it tries to identify weird behavior... like hoarding Iso-8 and HP for a year. It took a while to train this so our system didn't think BBBomber was weird which is why he kept getting re-flagged. Then the manual check on his account made it look like he gained almost 2M Iso-8 in 3 days, but it was actually 1 year and 3 days, and we didn't notice the year at the end of the timestamp. SORRY! We tried to make it up to poor BBBomber for all the stuff he missed while MIA. We're sorry. We're human, mistakes happen, and we'll try our best to make up for them.

And we wouldn't have looked into this as closely if it weren't for this forum thread, thanks to everyone that posted here for helping us right this wrong!

Thanks for the insight! Hopefully BBBomber is happy with how is was compensated and all is good in the MPQ universe.

A huge thanks to the team at D3 for fixing all issues, explaining the circumstances, and responding to this thread. And much thanks to all the support our fellow players brought to bear for us right here in the community. Now if I can just get B3's batteries recharged enough to come back, the world will be spinning in harmony again.

I think that if we do a clean install of B3's operating system, we should have him up and running in no time. Even a finely tuned machine like B3 needs a full system restore every once in a while!
