Free BBBOMBER!

For over a year now, I've been playing alongside some really great people. One of those players is BBBOMBER, or as we call him, b3. I've grown alongside b3 in this game, and as my roster has grown to include many maxed 3 stars and well developed 4 stars, his has largely stayed the same. He occasionally maxes a 3 star he really likes, but overall, he doesn't mess with what works for him. You see, long ago we figured what having a nice roster does to scaling in PvE. As a result, b3 has purposely kept his roster light to help him exceed in his favorite aspect of the game. He makes last hour PvP runs to maximize getting first place, and has done so consistently. And we don't mind his lower season score because he carries us through PvE like a boss. However, keeping your roster light after playing a year in top 100/50 alliances has an interesting side effect. You sit on a mountain of ISO and HP. He has an ISO bank of nearly 2 million and over 40k hp. This didn't happen overnight, but over the course of the year in, if you only max say 5 or 6 three stars and leave the rest alone, you find yourself with a nice purse instead of a nice roster.

So last week, when b3 jumped out to his typical commanding lead in the Simulator, it wasn't entirely shocking when he showed up missing from our alliance. We've always joked that sitting on a stockpile could have him relegated to the sandbox, but it didn't make it any easier to take when it actually happened. We assume that someone saw his score in Simulator, thought it unrealistically high, and reported him as a cheater. From there, it seems an employee at d3 looked him up, took a cursory glance at his stockpile, and agreed. As a result, we've been reaching out to d3 to try and have the situation amended. TheEnlightened have left ourselves at 19 members for nearly every event to ensure that when reinstated, b3 will receive all deserved rewards. And to his credit, David Hi-Fi has responded directly to our inquiries. However, the results have been unsatisfying to say the least. A decision that was made hastily on the part of the company, sandboxing an innocent player, which likely took a few minutes, has taken over a week to amend, and is as yet unresolved. All of the inquiries made by me on his behalf were answered much more quickly then the affected player. The difference, I've got a few bucks invested in this game, and he does not. It leaves me wondering if he has been given a low priority status, even as he has been playing now for over a year.

Community, I ask for your help. I can only make a plea to you to ask d3 to expedite his situation. He's a solid player, just do a search here on the forums of the ign BBBOMBER to see what others have said about him, and how long they've been saying it. He needs your help, the other 19 of TheEnlightened need your help. Comment here or just rate this post positively as a show of support. Share any similar experiences you know of, that could help our morale. This is the only tool we have left in our arsenal, please help us out. Thanks in advance to those that do!

I've been playing with B3 for a while now and I've never seen him this unhappy since they nerfed Patchneto! He might be F2P but that doesn't mean that he should be sandboxed just because he has ISO and HP stockpile that would make Scrooge McDuck jealous. It also doesn't mean that he should have to wait this long for D3 to resolve the matter. If they were able to sandboxed during the holidays when the offices were "closed," they should be able to restore him just as fast.

I don't think there was an actual "decision" made to sandbox him, it was likely an automatic safeguard in the system. It probably takes a while to review an account to verify its legitimacy, esp if ftp, since there are no transactions to immediately support it. My assumption anyway. He'll probably be released soon, best of luck!

I'm unsure of how this all works on their end, just want to get things moving. For all I know, you could be entirely correct. Thanks for commenting!

I'd change the title of the post to "unnecessary Sandbox" or "Free BBBomber!" or something more blunt.

I wasn't expecting this topic to be what it is, and figured it was just another thread talking about roster slots and what have you.

Your alliance mate is lucky to have such great allies to stick up for him. There are different ways to play this game, and it's unfortunate BBBOMBER's way has been mistaken for cheating. Hope they restore him soon. Good luck!

I am part of theEnlightened, and have played along side BBBOMBER for several seasons now. He is a great guy and player. He gives much insight into how to score higher in PVE as that has generally been a weaker part of my game. He has done nothing wrong and I would hate to see someone quit playing this game for being unfairly forced to play on his own. I never thought calling him a robot would actually get him sandboxed. I guess there is no joking in the MPQ world!

BBBomber is a great teammate and as much as we joke that he is a robot, he is ALWAYS playing but equally always chatting. No cheater would be on that much actively playing and chatting. He is good people. FREE THE BOMBERMAN!

I see BBBomber quite a bit in brackets because we seem to pick the same slices and are similarly sharded (by the looks of it). Nothing about him has ever seemed suspicious to me and when I saw him get sandboxed we were chatting in alliance chat about it and decided it will be the braindead auto detection because it happened over the holidays.

I hope it gets sorted out ASAP.

I don't think I've ever seen BBBomber's name come up in any of my rankings or fights, but I'm glad the situation got resolved (at least partly, since you indicate he's now back). I hope there are some compensation awards coming his way for lost time due to their autojailer.

It saddens me that it took this long for D3 to sort out this mess. For the mistake made by D3, all BBBomber got in compensation was a 500HP. Due to when he was sandboxed, he missed the season alliance reward (the 4hor cover which our alliance received) as well as the Simulation rewards for the Luke Cage covers. I would think D3 owes him those as well.

As a result of the missed covers, BBBomber is taking the next season (or longer) off, as much of his motivation to play has been killed by the way D3 handled this. Having played alongside BBBomber for nearly nine months, he's a great alliance mate and player, and he should be seen as an inspiration to anyone wondering how far you can go in MPQ as F2P.

I'm still hoping D3 can provide BBBomber the proper compensation for their mistake. I don't think it sends the right message to the MPQ community when the players are unfairly punished not once, but effectively twice.

This has been a very negative experience all throughout for all members of TheEnlightened.

I can understand there being safeguards in place that prevent cheating but it still took a long time (in MPQ time) to fix the issue. What makes it even worse is it happened just days before the season ended. As a result the Alliance was put in jeopardy to miss out on the end of season prizes. For his inconvenience B3 was awarded some HP in the 3 digit range. But he is still missing all the covers he would have gotten for the alliance effort. That's Luke Cage, 4hor and a couple PVP covers. I am hoping they are working on getting the covers to him right now, anything else would be inexcusable.

I must say, it's great to see an alliance working as a TEAM! Congrats on getting this resolved... now if they would just award me my damn Thoress cover that we got screwed on... LOL
