    Survival node, more grindy, less rewarding.

    Honestly I was hopeful that we'd get a new tab next to versus. I guess I just assumed we there woukd be weekly survival tournaments like pvp or pve. Complete with leaderboards, rankings, and rewards. I think that would be fun to try and out wave each other. Oh well, at least its something a little different.

    Havent decided how I feel about it surival nodes. Kinda expected to get rewards for defeating each wave everytime you played though.

    I read it as nodes in the PVE. So new PVEs might have it as well, or they might work it back in to re-runs of other PVEs. I hope I am wrong though, because with the way time slices have been implemented, PVEs are a pain to play thru now. If they fix / don't repeat the bugs that occurred during Prodigal Sun, then I would see these nodes as a welcome change.

    -Joining slow filling brackets where leaders have an insurmountable lead
    -Scaling, on for some, off for some, then turned back on/fixed
    -Events completely disappeared, PVE and PVP
    -Points did not count towards total, some folks reporting the pts did kick in, others saying no
    -If they are nodes in the PVE, please don't make them operate on the 3hr refresh. And please extend the 3 hr refresh to 4, 6, or 8 hrs, to curb PVE being a "grinding required for placement" event.
    -If there are 12 or 36 hr subs, then might as well chalk up the time slices as a failure, like the initial version of team ups. Those refreshes negate the "benefit" of choosing an end time.

    I am still hoping for the best though. Glad to see new stuff incoming.

    I wish I had been wrong about the survival modes. We say we hate grinding for PVE. Devs create mode that takes longer to grind for PVE. Thanks! icon_rolleyes.gif

    Why do Survival Nodes have 1/1 reward? Surely it is a mistake, the grindiest repeatable nodes ever created should be 4/4
  • It s difficult but can be handle with care

    but the rewards suck.... i m happy to win good amount iso at the first time and ...ever feel extremely bad for 20 iso for "each" tough fight

  • Very good question. Mentioned in another thread that they just seem to be pushing how far they can go with this repeatable stuff. If people keep playing when this event takes longer to play, for less rewards, then they know they haven't reached the limit.

    Me? No chance am I doing this over and over again. It's crazy.

    It looks like this is an attempt to justify true healing - and bad character design for new characters that continue to use it. Look! She-hulk heals! She's not bad!

    For those of us who are bored with repetitive grinding of one node to collect all rewards from it, I am more than happy that I get this one time big enough reward per node and I don't need to repeat it. Actually even better if you do the PVE for story and maybe progression rewards but not for the ranking.

    So I am for one actually happy with those new nodes.

    Grinders will grind it anyway and it will end up giving dedicated grinders an even greater edge over non-grinders / normal players.
    Said normal players will be pushed to play more of the more difficult regular nodes for higher point gains, so as to keep up with the grinders.
    And then they find out they need to purchase health packs and boosts to keep that up.

    (You'd almost think it was planned that way. ಠ_ಠ )
  • I don't know what the Survival Mode is but I want to give feedback on the new episode.

    THIS is how you introduce a new episode. Old (but good) rewards so people who already have Patch can take it slow and enjoy it and people who want him can get him without much trouble. This gives players the opportunity to actually look at what is happening. I even got to read what they were saying instead of skipping through everything so my refresh is quicker.

    Well done on that front.

    Except they're not actually harder than any other node, because you can just bring in steve and by the end of wave 2 you have two red and a blue shields going and it's actually just hilarious.

    The last wave could be nothing but goons with 9k like and I'd still woop their **** with a hand tied behind my back

    This is certainly NOT a "mode" though. It's just a new pve event with a different kind of node every once in a while. A new MODE would be something like a new permanent unlockable pve event.
  • Although Captain America can put all kinds of domination, keep in mind the AP does not reset for the opposing team and whoever comes in gets his turn so you can easily have a case where your first opponent collected a bunch of AP they can't use, like purple, and then Deadpool comes in and he always gets his turn on the round he comes in and drops a Whales on you. I suppose you can run The Hood but The Hood has some serious problems against stuff like Caltrops and Turn to Smoke even with Captain providing protection. I'm sure Captain America is going to be dominant but you're not going to win an arbitary number of games with him either. It'd be good to put your quad shield juggling actions for some new victims but they always get to fight back because the new guy comes in unstunned.

    If the whole story is about Logan going rogue and everyone hunting for him, why would it make sense to use him in any battles?

    I thought it was just one reward too, but after I played though the waves of each node, a bunch of unlisted rewards dropped. That means I don't need to go back and grind the node for 20 iso trying to get the other rewards, which always pisses me off. Everything dropping after the first pass is awesome.

    Well, to be honest it's first PvE where you can use Wolv team up against waves where he comes up later. Each time I do that I have mental image of Logan cutting himself icon_e_biggrin.gif
