After sneaking past the semi-166 wall, it seems like there wasn't a big gap between #100th place and #55th place. I went from 87 to 55 with one match o-0. Going to shield soon, hopefully I don't get krutacked in the meantime

Only two defensive wins, as well - I guess 175 cap surprised people when he's properly specced.

Turul, I only hit you cause it looked you were giving points back to the masses after hitting your 1300 - hope that _was_ your intention

Had to use one 3-hour shield to stay top 100, kinda bummed that I even had to shield for a She-Hulk cover tbh! At least it means I now have a red cover (now at 2/2/1). Had quite a few defensive wins, but I doubt it was due to my cap (5/2/3, level 94 unbuffed) since I'm lacking in red and blue covers. Guess they probably had a bad board against OBW and got cascaded or something.

Fairly strange bracket, last 3 hours the difference between top 100 (450) and top 50 (500) was just 50 points, fairly bunched together scores.

Well I got pretty excited when I saw this event, as LCap is my best character and only maxed three star with 127 Thor and 117 Sentry completing the team. Well, turns out that I had to struggle hard to stay above 600 points and just managed to dinish 59th. Was hoping for a T25 finish but I got attacked an awful lot of times

Lesson learned: Even with a fully built and buffed 249 three star, there's no tinykitty way to reach high ranks or high progression rewards without shield hopping

Why is everything in this game set up to make life hard for transitioners? The carrot is slowly moving out of my field of view and the "delete game" button closing in fast...

Are ppl trying to get She-hulk for gauntlet essentials? I really don't understand....

I think it really depends on your shard. I just fished t5 with just over 600 pts and no shielding the entire time. My only strategy was to make sure my team was matching the opponent's team.

This was likely an after effect of balance of power. Everyone could go a little higher because easier targets were more readily available on the climb. BoP messes everyone's MMR for a few events because it thinks you can hang with better opponents than you can. I really wish they'd turn it off for those events.

I saw non maxed one star teams when my floor is usually maxed 2 stars to start an event (I'm well into 3* land). They won't retaliate where a brave Ares/obw might.

Managed to make top 50 with just over 700 pts. Top 10 was all over 1K, so there wasn't much of a chance for me.

I loved playing with a boosted LCap, though. Not having to blink an eye at a maxed out Thor or XForce because my shield was doing 5K+ damage? Wonderful. It was like Christmas.

This was my hardest 1300 progression award in a very long time where 1300 seemed to be the top score in our slice. Annoyingly you kept showing with your tempting 4-5 points as I was climbing but there was really no one else to climb off.

I hit turul multiple times during that climb and I'm sure he hit me as well, although i'm 'grateful' for his hit and retreat at the end. Progression reward lag at the end meant I had to shield and could not donate points - no one else was realistically going to hit 1300 points either.

You might be rightits hard to tell with how sharding works now with the different time slices and stuff....I really wish they would fix that. On the plus side I didn't get attacked/overwhelmed by 166s.

The matches were quite fun. 150 lcap buffed kills stuff crazy fast once he gets going. The event on the other hand... I thought I might just shield hop a top 25 finish since it's going away at least as the way we know it now. I made a hop on 2 matches netting me 56, but lost 36 when I finished the second match. An hour i broke shield to try again, playing 2 matches 58 points, but finished the second to find I lost 51. 150 extra hero points lost for s gain of 27 pts. Pretty lame, I usually don't even get hit that fast when I'm unshielded.

Hate of the pvp system aside, it was nice taking the Frisbee machine out while buffed.

That was to be expected with a Thor as the 1300 reward. Lots of people stopped once they hit 1300. My bracket has a top 10 of 1564+ and top 5 starts at 1951.

I find the scores in this event to be surprisingly low given 1300 had Thor which normally would drive scores to way above that. I guess since so many people had Captain America maxed out that led to relatively slow games. Even with max boosts, fighting a 16K Thor, 11K Captain America, and a 10K X Force took a while. This is the only event I can recall in recent memories where you can trade 5K hitting moves and both sides would still be standing after the exchange.

This is the new normal for slice 5 on the events that end in the evening, US time. Might be for slice 4 as well, but that time sucks for me so I don't know for sure.

In slice 1, only two people in my bracket broke 1300 and 775 was good for top ten.

It probably was to be expected but my top 10 all have more than 1578 and half of them already have 5 blue Thor covers. I have 1301 points and will finish 26th. I'm actually glad it's only She-Hulk covers and don't feel bad missing out.
