GIVE US A TINYKITTY BREAK!!!

The event starting Friday with the variable end time will be the 5th PvE in a row with only 12 hours between each of them for breaks! This is complete tinykitty tinykitty! We need larger breaks built in between. Especially with the end of the season too.

Do you wonder why vets are leaving in droves? This is one of those reasons you morons!

It will be at least 27 days of events with only a total of 48 hours of time in between them. That's a whole month with only 2 days off! No one can sustain that level of effort! Get it through your heads devs, your game is stale! Same old rinse and repeat. If it weren't for alliances people would have stopped ages ago.

My suggestion for rules of engagement: half a day off for every full day of an event and round up.

For that 7.5 day events we need 4 days off.
For 6 day events we need 3 days.
This current 3.5 day event? We need 2 days off!

That way everyone can rest and prepare for the next event. Stop putting these events back to back to back! This isn't a job, it's a game! And tinykitty you devs! Morons.

Yes, they're obviously forcing you to play from the very start and play non-stop. #selfcontrol

I think having a few days off between PVEs would be too much. A lot of beginning players can't really compete in PVP, so PVE is really where they have a chance to shine. Four days of having nothing to do except get pounded by people with better rosters than me would make me put the game down.

The real problem is that we have had three PVEs in a row where the character given out is new/highly coveted. New character release PVEs need to be broken up with the Gauntlet or events giving out older characters that most vets don't need still.
  • This is likely to be the first genuinely skippable PVE in ages - if they're truly doing 12 hour subs, it's going to be a waste of time anyway for anyone with a job.

Generally they've not gone more than 36 hours between events - and they never gave more than 12 hours break on any event that ended Thursday night. The rule was, far as I can tell, the next event starts 12 or 36 hours after the last event ended unless it ended Thursday, in which case it would start noon Friday.

They do like starting events noon Friday. What surprised me was that they started the second iteration of "Meet Rocket and Groot" so quickly - they almost never started an event noon Monday even if the last one ended Sunday night.
  • Gamora is just above beast in the list of characters released recently. Everyone knows it, and the subs are really lax. I'm easily keeping top10 doing a couple sweeps every few hours.

    This IS a break.

I had almost 4 days off before Meet Grocket, and another 2 before Meet Grocket 2: Electric Boogaloo. You're right, it's quite refreshing.

I'm actually pretty excited about shorter downtime between events.
I play pretty casually now - can still usually make it into top 100/150 for 1 cover - and I like it when there's always something to do.

Sure, the hardcore players will burn themselves out if they push themselves in every event, but that coupled with being able to pick my end time means I can be able to pick up 2 covers, maybe even 3, if there's something I really want.

I do agree about the lack of breaks between PVEs, but the compounding issue is that they are for new characters. And the character is required for the next PVE (and usually PVP). Break it up. Throw in some older character - Hulk, Spiderman, Punisher, etc. Or have it just give tokens like the season does. Give these PVE tokens higher pull rates (like they did for the Anniversary). Transitioning players have a chance to get needed covers and Vets can just cash in the covers.

Here is an FYI on what the Dev's are doing. They have a new game mode they are trying to roll out in December, make variable end times for PVE, and are trying to release a bunch of new characters. They wanted to get Rocket and Groot and Gamora out before the new game mode, and time slices since the feedback the player base gave them, they do not want to run a "Test" giving out new characters. Solution run 2 PVE's back to back and then run a "Test" PVE at the regularly schedualed time. It is a lot of PVE and a lot of grinding but that is what they are doing. I would gander they will give a "Break" after this event. It might be be 24 hours it might be 36. I would also imagine that next weeks PVE will be the new PVE. It could be against the Dark Elves or the Hand. I would expect the next new character to be Electra either next week or the following week. They might not put a new character up for a new event will get players to play a lot, and then they can release a new character in a future PVE.
  • Given the lack of the prologue missions and some of the difficulties for people in PvP, I don't mind that theres always a PvE going. There should be. At least at the moment, its the best way for casual players to always be able to play and get some rewards besides 20hp.

Its just a nightmare for hardcore players and extreme collectionists. If they want to just finish it off, start running one or two PvEs and one or two PvPs at all times. Give people more variables in the rewards they want to go for, and then people get to relax at little bit when its impossible to do everything. The stress right now is that if you play, constantly, you can still do everything. Flood more options in, and that stress lightens up a little bit.

For me, we're in the middle of a break right now. My Doc Ock is low-level, but I don't really care about him all that much so I didn't try too hard during his PvP. It would have been nice to get a cover, but I am literally not losing any sleep over placing in top 200. Same with Gamora. I haven't been able to get her yet, but even though I really enjoyed using the buffed loaner version of her in PvE, I'm not going to kill myself to try to get her. I'll try to get the 50,000 points to get her as a progression reward, but if I don't, eh, I'll live.
  • You dont have to get EVERY progression cover that comes out. Especially if you have Gamora already, youdon't NEED to do the progression.

Hell i didn't get her (**** up at the end and got distracted), and I don't care about getting her from ISO-8 either. Its really good to take breaks from the PVE.
  • I missed getting 4hor, just due to work and family. For the same reasons I didn't have a ton of time to put into getting gamora, but found it very easy to place top 150 for a cover that would allow me to compete at whatever level I chose in the next event, even without being able to do 2/3 of the essential nodes. Its just annoying to have to spend the tiny dribbles of HP (iso-8 event discluded) they give out on a new character constantly, who's just going to sit there and take up space after the next event they are featured in ends. I thought it was awesome when I finally saved all the currently available 3* characters to my roster *months ago*, thinking I'd also be able to start filling in some of the 2* characters that would help my gameplay. I think I've managed to save maybe 3 characters to my roster that weren't new releases. Juggy (bop/ ca events), johnny storm and m.hawkeye... and technically one of those *was* a new release, but for whom I just never found the roster space to be able to put him in for well over a month.

I think the idea of running multiple PVE's/PVP's at a time is actually a good one. I'd probably still chase a new character release, but an option for someone who didn't want to so they could build a more relevant existing character would be quite nice. In events where there weren't new charcters up for grabs, having a choice between two events where I could aim for say... punisher OR gamora covers, I'm currently in a place where the event awarding pun pun would win hands down. I don't know about just running them all at once tho, as vets with extensive rosters and enough time could certainly push in every event without much trouble. I think if something like this rolled out, that picking one could/should exclude you from the other choice, but might be a way to allow the players making the long transition into 3* play a little shorter. ... or at the very least help along the way to getting more players relevant rewards. Maybe? Maybe.

I think the idea of running multiple PVE's/PVP's at a time is actually a good one.

In my idealized world: if there were multiple events running side-by-side only one of them would be an 'alliance' event and the other(s) would be solo affairs (like when they drop the 'buy-in' events into the mix - but maybe without requiring the 'buy-in' component - or do that to as a 3rd rail of options).

Multi-PVEs would be great, then you'd have more opportunity to play one that suited you with boosted characters that you have, as opposed to trying to slog it out with a limited roster.

I suggest you share this sentiment with your Alliance Commander or the man in the mirror. This is your problem. The way you lashed out a the Developers here is inappropriate. I suspect you are really frustrated with yourself (and possibly your addiction).

Agreed, not alot of gazillion nodes and the 12 hr subs gives people s chance to play either night subs or morning subs. Too many people crying that they do not have enough Hero points for roster slots. Well this event gave you many chances to earn HP.
