  • It is boggling to think that many points could be generated in the events.
  • So how much HP did that cost?

The accomplishment warrants awe; no question.

As the dust settles, and we pick our collective chins off the floor; I am left wondering is this another step down a path that culminates in progression reward tiers being raised? I hope not.
  • It actually cost me 4,300 hp, maybe less, maybe more. I know it wasn't much more than that. I actually didn't set out to hit it either. It just turned into a fun ride once I eclipsed my previous high score. Everyone was cheering me on to keep going, but I was getting to the point where I didn't think it was going to be possible, but I kept going anyway. I am glad I did, because when I finally saw the score come up, I felt this wave of relief. I wanted to thank all of the people that were there for the ride, and I especially want to give a huge shout out to Shamsali. Without his help in a few key moments, I would not havae made it. This doesn't really signify anything, such as the new standard for scoring, or anything like that. It is funny really when you think about it, because so many people said it would be almost impossible to achieve high scores once Sentry and Hood got nerfed. I think all this shows is that if you have enough determination and support, you can achieve just about anything. Thank you again to the X-Men, the MPQ community for being there when I needed the motivation to keep going, and to Sham. You guys are the best, and we can only go up from here.

  • That is your opinion, and you are entitled to it. If I had just bought the covers that I won with hp, the cost would be 7500 hp. Then, there is the bonus Iso you get for winning. But not factoring that in, I look at this game as my hobby, and I spent less doing this than you, or many others may spend on your hobby. I enjoy playing this game, and for this partictular pvp, it wasn't about conserving hp, or seeing how many people I could snipe on my way up. It was about having fun with the people I play with, and in that venture, I succeeded. We had a lot of fun, and there were a lot of people that helped along the way, as they were having fun as well. I don't knock how you or anyone else spends their money, so I don't know why you made it a point to knock me for mine. People have fun in this game in many different ways. I choose to spend a little on my hobby since I can. If you choose not to spend money, then that is your perogative. To each his or her own. Now, let's all have fun in this game we play, shall we?

    Congrats.

I was just thinking about this when I went to bed today. When will someone eclipse 3k in pvp? Had no idea id wake up to see it accomplished. Nicely done and keep it up so those 50 pt matches are still out there for the rest of us icon_e_biggrin.gif

Congratulations, that was an impressive run. Nicely done!
If I had just bought the covers that I won with hp, the cost would be 7500 hp.
But you already had bought those covers, both for Blade and Goddess. So basically you're saying that you spent an additional $40 to get something you already spent probably over $100 on.

I'm impressed by the score, don't get me wrong. But don't use that as justification. Just be honest, you like being the best and don't care what it costs to get there. That's a good thing. The rest of us that are happy hitting 1300 progression rewards rely on you and others like you to make hitting that easier. icon_e_smile.gif

LEAVE THE X-MEN ALONE!!! I don't quite understand why they do the things they do, but as far as I'm concerned, having 50 point targets up to the 1300 progression awards and them spending money on the game is a very good thing for the rest of us. Show a little respect to the people who make 1500 no shield scores possible, sheesh.
  • Nice Work 1Who!

I've said this about several accomplishments in MPQ and i will now say it again.

If anyone will do it...it will be you.

Congrats from your former Bros in the TacoRings.

  • 4300 hp? Seriously? Great job on the achievement but that is just insane. Have fun being the best lol
  • I think this is what the devs feel like after someone spends 4300 spideycoin.png in 1 pvp

  • If getting to 3k was easy, people would have done it pre-sentry nerf already.

The truth is, it takes a ton of courage, teamwork and coordination to get to that score. I was hopping along last night and I know how it feels to be scoring at that high score. With the match getting longer post-sentry nerf, matches are now longer (unless you have a fully maxed goddess) and you can be sniped really bad every time you shield hop.

So just respect the guy and congratulates on his achievement.

It is not about HP or money because there are lots of people with lots of money but money alone won't get you there.
  • Congratulations The1WhoKnocks!

That was a very impressive score. Though, I selfishly wish I wasn't thrown into that bracket because I actually wanted some Blade Covers icon_e_wink.gif .

    Such a feat, congratulations!
If I may ask, when you acknowledge the help from your alliance crew, are you talking about plain motivation, or did you get points from them like placing weak teams for you to attack and attacking you to lose on purpose? If so, how many people were involved?

I choose to spend a little on my hobby since I can
I remember a conversation with a friend, when he was teasing/scolding me for having paid like 50$ on a comic book, whereas he had paid like 600 for a 90 minutes football match. This is SO relative.
