Polls always have survey bias. I'm fine with the rate of new characters, because I'm far enough in that I can handle it. I never felt the need to click on the poll to vote.

Of course they would be. What do you expect? Hey guys, a poll showed up on the forum saying they don't want new characters every 7 days. Let's scrap all the work and development we've put into rolling out these new characters and story to please a small minority of our userbase. A small minority, but very outspoken. Although it may not seem like it (just kidding), I think it takes more than 7 days for things to be put together on the Devs side.

Implementing all the changes takes a lot longer than coming up with new ideas. There's likely a huge list of stuff they'd like to do, stuff they can do, and stuff they have to do. We can come up with ideas a lot quicker than anything can be approved/designed/implemented. Every change they make, they probably have to change the coding to ensure that the AI can still cheat .

Can anyone else voice their interpretation of the reveal? Gamora will be a reward for run #2 of the Rocket & Groot PVE. Thoress will be the reward for run #1? I can't imagine them handing out 4 possible covers (3 + alliance) of Thoress while she's being handed out as a Season reward. I'd like to think they would, and would love to have 4 covers of her, but I can't see it happening. Is she gonna be the Top 2 reward only?

I'm guessing 1 GT Y cover will be a T2 individual reward. I don't see them awarding her covers like they do for a normal 3*, and this early in her release cycle, I don't see them releasing her covers the way they did for Fury in that one PVE (something like T2/T5/T10 for 3, 2, 1 covers, respectively, I think?).

The trouble is this might make them money in the short term while costing them money in the long term. If covers didn't expire, people might save the covers for a middling 3* that they're currently forced to sell, and, when they get enough covers, buy some HP to open a spot. Right now, it doesn't make a lot of sense for a transitioning player trying to save money to save GSBW covers (for example), since you basically need five greens and several purples for her to be usable. A lot of the decisions they make seem to be based on short-term profits, rather than long-term. Letting covers not expire might ultimately help them, long term.

Despite being beyond annoyed when they introduced cover expiry, totally disagree. People spend way more based on a perceived need then they do just on a whim. 4* cover about to expire and no room? Most (paying) players would buy a roster slot. Further, allowing no cover expiry causes less technical implementation issues based on having to store hundreds and hundreds of covers, which some people have already noted in earlier threads, breaks their game. Forcing those types of technical issues to rarely happen has probably saved them much in technical support costs.
