What is your best token pull / any token superstitions?

Today of all days, with the MMR experiment being growing pains for the community, I thought that some optimism might be very welcome on the forum...so why not some good old times reminiscing which certainly won’t hurt & might just distract us a little by remembering the good days we’ve had with the game while things get better in the background.

I think that my best Woohoo! moment was getting a out of a Standard ...not only was it a which is rare enough out of those type of tokens but it was actually one I could use to unlock a new power for a character I like as it is different then all others (and it was just in time for a Top Gun PvP event!).

I guess that another one for me (keep in mind that I am at the stage of a maxed roster after around 70ish days of playing & not transitioning to yet as none of characters of that category are over level 90) is getting as a PvP fight reward the last that I need to build him the way I wanted.

So…what is your best token related memory? I am sure that the community as some spectacular stories out there waiting to make us all dream a little next time we redeem one of our tokens...

I've gotten several x-forces and other 4* so I'll go with my best string of token opening when it mattered most. I was not even in max 2* land as I maybe had a maxed 2* Thor and wolvie, but like 3 or 4 total covers for obw and nothing else much good besides a near-max storm. Anyway back when the simulator basic was first run and tokens for the whole thing had a pretty high rate for brand new LT I opened something like 2 greens and a yellow (there may have even been a 4th LT cover, it was absurd) over however many tokens I won. It got the ball rolling for getting into 3* land.

Two of my X-force covers came from standard tokens, and the other day I got two 3* covers from standard tokens. . .in a row.

I just wish I had that kind of luck with heroic tokens.

The one token pull that I'll never forget is a few days after I first started playing MPQ, I pulled a Steve Rogers. At the time I only had a few low level 1 and one or two very low level 2 characters. At such a low level of playing, I was able to start using him immediately. Also, Captain America has always been one of my favorite Marvel heros.

As a collector and kind-of-sort-of old-school Marvel fan, I love Token pulls. A lot. I've gotten some awesome Token pulls over the time I've played since pre-R47 and I've also gotten some really not so awesome ones (10+ Venoms of both colors in a row when pulling Standard Recruit tokens ).

A couple of my favorites:

Standard Token during the last PvE:

Totally new character for me and a boosted one at that for the event... though it didn't really help me any in the end. It was such a nice surprise to see because I had actually missed earning my Colossus during the PvE that he was first released. Also, I had no idea he had been released into the Standard Tokens.

Event Token during the Blade PvE: x 2 of what colors I can't remember. When I got my Blade (at least, I think it was Blade), I had a cover of every color of hers and double covers of two colors. Obviously, I never tossed her out after that because she was on her way to being built.

Standard Tokens during or post-Anniversary: ,

Some Token during Anniversary: 3* (totally did an "OMGThisisawesome!" in the middle of Starbucks)

My Very First Heroic Token: Yes, when it was still Purple.

He's my favorite Token pull because he's partly to blame for why I continued to play.

I remember fairly well all of my 'OMGAWESOME!' Token pulls - especially the ones that came from Standard tokens. I'm not expecting anything terribly exceptional, but on occasion, a really awesome cover pops out to surprise me.

BEFORE I started collecting 3*s, my favorite 2* pulls were Wolverine, Ares, Magneto, and Captain America because I simply like them as characters. I love Classic Storm, too, but she was almost impossible to pull when I was still building her and the same with Thor. AFTER they were built, I started pulling them like nobody's business. OBW was the same exact situation and I felt so bad about continually tossing her covers that I eventually saved a slot to build a second one. Nowadays, my 2* character pulls tend to be OBW (Blues!) and Captain America (Red) and Moonstone (Black).

No X-Force in any of my Standard or Heroics or Event Tokens, but and during the Anniversary are plenty fine for me.

Also, I was thrilled to pull a bunch of Modern Hawkeyes all in a series of token pulls; he was my fastest 2* character to build, bar none with Speed Shot finishing up first.

I was ~150 HP away from buying my last BP black, BOOM from a Standard token from a Facebook mate

Many moons ago I got the last Patch cover I needed from a standard token, right after I missed it in a PvP. I only had L maxed and some two stars, and he plus OBW allowed me to pretty much finish the transition phase. followed shortly after (bought a few for him) and I'm now up to 10 or more maxed 3 stars. A lot of that is on the back of Patch.

in Season 1 - the one that ended with I think a PvP and a Server issue that stopped rewards from getting paid out on time, I got the 10 Pack token with about a week to go to the end of the season.

My 10-pack pulled x2 and x1. I didn't have any s and I didn't have a spare roster slot. I spent 6 agonizing days trying to earn the 25 HP for the slot I needed. And I had them locked in - between season awards and the Daken PvP - and due to be paid out about 1hr and 10 minutes before the covers expired.

And then the rewards didn't get paid out on time. I scrambled for the Buy HP option only to find that my Google Wallet had been suspended - some chinese dude tried to buy phone credit with it!. Oh god! I was going to lose him!

I checked my daily reward but it had already paid out that day. Bloody stockpile. I looked for a 3* to sell but they weren't giving HP for them any more*. I didn't have the ISO to play the token lottery. I tried to feed a five euro note into the usb socket but it wasn't working.

A single tear rolled down my cheek, dropped off my chin and landed on the screen of my phone*. The impact opened the Venom story screen, and one of the nodes didn't have a green tick on it. The Yelena Belova node in Venom Dark Reign. I dared to hope.... the rewards cycled and there it was - 50 unclaimed HP. With 30 minutes to go I started to grind, and grind hard, like a 17 year old in a new years night club. 10 minutes of 20 Iso rewards. 15. 20. Health packs running low. And then it happened - a 50HP prize, putting me over the line.

Roster slot purchased.
Magneto recruited.

I breathed a sigh of relief, high-fived my shadow and left him to rot at the bottom of my roster 'cause I haven't had another cover for him since - but he will always be my best ever token pull.

*(this may not be true - dramatic license, people!)

My first came from a standard. Also got a purple Deadpool from one, but that wasn't as big of a deal.

Also I got two Enraged Slash pulls from tokens before X-Force got rebalanced, which is really nice in hindsight.

I've had other nice pulls from Heroics, and even a few 3* from standards, but that's the only time I pulled not only a 4* from a standard, but a much needed one. Now I just need 4 more.

I pulled an X-Force from a standard token like 12 days into playing this game. I was so stoked I wanted to try for 1300 in the next PvP (with my 1* roster) to get another one.

Quite a number of good pulls out there...thank you all for sharing...I will keep on dreaming of my next one!

I do like this random collector's aspect of the game...it can be somewhat frustrating at time when you grind your way to a token & pull yet another (insert your own recurrent cover here...which for me seems to be ) but man is it a blast when you strike gold!

Keep on pulling people...you never know...maybe your next big one is just around the corner...

The recurring cover for me was MNM Blue. You only want 3. I had him at 3/3/5 for DAYS looking for red covers, selling piles of blue covers in frustration. Good thing he doesn't really need levels to be good (or help C.Storm).

Also 3* Cap Blue. He was my first 166, and for whatever reason I kept pulling him from tokens. It's like 3 of a zillion covers I don't need and I keep getting them.

Now a days I'm lucky to pull a gold I actually need. The list is short and comprised mostly of characters released recently.

Yeah...my elusive cover is which I am still looking for one to build him the way I want. Not a rare one by any means but it seems determined to escape me...

The beautiful world of randomness...although it is not a spectacular cover I am certain that I will still be ecstatic the day I finally get my hands on it!
