Play lazy. I'm telling everyone
Play lazy. Just drag your feet don't be in a hurry hell don't even enter the 2 day events until the last day unless you wanna fight and scrap for points.
That's right I been testing it in the 2 day events I play my account hard I bust a move I grind the points I retaliate every time. My junk account get min play start late do no retaliations grind top 5 no grind top 25 the prizes are not much different compared to the work
Testing in lighting rounds except rags main acc I start earily fight hard and get top 5 scrap all the way until the end not leaving much time for the junk acc but enough to get top 25 by starting late I get a **** bracket and low lvl pulls for decent points and nobody picks max wolv/Thor/widow over easy chumps for the same 20 points
Testing in the hulk event. It was a joke either something change between events or the points are so broken I dont care to debate this one. All I'll say is be lazy it helps a ton
I will continue to complain about points openly and often loudly until its fixed

I am not playing this game to watch casuals hang with me I grind I kill points I burn up the top spots. I want casual players wish the had my kind of time to waste cry if you want I don't care I want 5000 more points than you while I fail at trying to catch the guys in front of me is that to much to ask for a real points system earn 10 points get 10 points it's easy0

can somebody translate what this guy is saying0

Rubber banding is fine. 97% of the population do not want to dedicate their lives to playing this game, and people like you can still be better than everyone as long as you grind smartly. In the case of the hulk event, all you had to do was grind 3 times a day each time the missions reset, and you would always be at the top of the leaderboards.0 -
You realize "casual" players pay the bills.0

Unlikely. Whales carry f2p games usually. The usual breakdown is 90% of all revenue is derived from 10% of the player base.0 -

I think whales fall into that catergory. People with jobs that can't grind 24/7, I mean. From what I gather the current definition of "casual" in this thread is someone who can't play nonstop.0 -

Not sure about this game, but for other f2p games i play, whales are definitely NOT casuals. They're the ones at the top of the leaderboards.0 -

You have more time than I have to play this game, and therefore you should be rewarded above me?
What the hell kind of school of thought does that adage belong to? Does its name sound like Kantian?
You should really think about playing an MMO. That's where this type of attitude shines.0 -

I dunno, the only other mobile f2p game I've played is PaD and that runs on a somewhat more pay2win basis(but the casuals can still play just fine). There are no leaderboards or anything there, but the whales I know IRL in that game are both tops and cannot play 24/7.
I think the disconnect between these two games is the balance that they are trying to hit in this game to keep more casual people in the running. My personal definition of casual is someone that can only play maybe a couple hours a day. But even that's not really casual.0 -

There's no brackets in Lightning Rounds. Whatever 'lousy bracket' you think you are in, it's a psychological effect.0 -
And yeah, most of the board people already are aware of the later start bracket. Every tournament I actually try for, I always see at least 2 other forum names on my leaderboard0

Yes I should be reward for playing better and more than you
As for money. Why would I put money on a game where any casual non spender can't come in when he has an extra min and steal my spot that I played 5hrs to gain.
Make no mistake my complaints do NOT come from scoring low as I havent scored low yet when I do Ill complain about that I suppose
No brackets in lightning rounds. That's more pathetic than I had accounted for I suppose I just assumed brackets since only rags give me a challenge must just be those covers all others. Hood doom mags Loki can be top 5 in 20 min of play easy0 -
I'm sorry for deviating from the original post, but it seems that Magneto rounds are much more competitive than Ragnarok rounds now?0

I'll agree with that. Rags rounds are pretty easy compared to mags. Even going for top 8 in mags is a furious battle.0 -
I see no reason to spend money on this game ever again.
They hand out covers like Candy for very little effort.
There is no defense so a good deck does very little for you.
Boosts make it so massively under leveled teams can take out high level teams.
I would support removing all healing abilities from covers. This would add value to health packs. This would force f2p players to maximize every health pack recharge to place highly in events, which would help address the OP concerns. It would also generate revenue by allowing a pay to win mechanic.
If nothing changes and they keep the same course I can't see how they will continue to make money and stay in business.0 -
I'm glad it's not all about who plays the most. As far as playing 'better', very little skill is required in actual matches.
I don't have a ton of time to play. I do manage an hour or two before bed, sometimes more. Me and the gf both play before going to sleep. Part of why the PVE events burn me out a bit, they force me to play more than usual to stay competative, even with rubberbanding.
Grinders get rewarded via the progression rewards in tournaments, and more ISO. And in PVE, grinders get rewarded by higher placement and progression. I grinded the first hulk a decent amount. Did most missions at least 2-3 times, twice for each submission. More for the bigger point value missions. It got me a top 300 fish. This second tournament, I didn't grind (ok, just a little bit towards the end, but mostly did every event once for the free first time ISO and random reward), and I only managed to eek out a top 5000 finish.
The points system for tournaments does need to change, but I really hope it's not completely about grinding.
Honestly, if the tournament point system was changed to be similiar to the PVE scoring, I think that'd be a net win. I don't think thats likely either, though.
As far as making money, if nothing else, I bet they make money on folks buying covers slots. But taking away healing abilities wouldn't do much, unless you also took away boosts. Depending on the tournaments and opposition, I can kill many teams in 2-3 rounds (sometimes before they even get a turn if I'm lucky) using the right boosts.
D3P is obviously not scrambling to cash in on more funds, so I doubt they are hurting in the cash department at the moment.0
