How many slots do you have and how much is too much?

I have all characters, no duplicates. I buy a new slot whenever a new character comes out. I may be a little obsessive-compulsive there.

Bought the HP for a 40-slot roster two sales ago(pre-anniversary). Have been content...until the flippin' game gave me a cover for X-Fixed!

Anyway, 40 is my limit, until we get 20(or more!) X-Persons in the game. Then....?

I am 45 slots in and... in terms of number of slots and without taking into consideration the money factor, I don't think there IS a too many, BUT I am a collector and I completely admit to being a collector.

Taking money/HP into account, however, and... it's definitely getting expensive as roster slots are 600-650 per slot and for someone who isn't PvP-competitive and raking in extra HP, most of the HP is coming straight from my wallet. I have taken advantage of sales so that's helped some, but, still.

On the one hand, I don't mind paying money to support a game I've spent a ton of time on so I can play a game with some of my favorite Marvel characters and have fun playing with a diverse roster of characters...

But on the other hand, it IS getting a bit much. I'm hoping that the devs might consider lowering the price of roster slots a bit in the future; I really don't like the idea of selling off my characters to make room for others and I've been saved in a pinch by having a diverse cast of characters to choose from when situations have allowed.

Day 284, bought my 53rd slot this morning @ 700 HP for Mystique. I'm missing Venom, Yelena, Bagman, the 1* Hawkeye and BW and now T4or. Have unlevelled doubles of Hulk, LCap, OBW and BP. Ditched my Patch double for Blade. I thought the doubles were a waste of time but my lvl 40 Black Panther for leading the B-team on the trivial/easy nodes in Heroic Juggs is the reason I needed that 53rd slot this morning - I have no regrets

Great idea for a thread! I'm at day 219 and I just bought two roster slots for Mystique (got one cover from the PVE) and Thora (4or, or whatever you want to call her. I like Thora since it's an honest-to-goodness Scandinavian name.) I have 46 Roster slots (the last two cost me 600 HP.)

I have every 3* and 4* so far - though none of them are max leveled. I have a cluster at 153 that I plan on bringing up two levels at a time to 166, but want more top-tier characters for it. My 4*s are all at 70 - I may bring up X-force at some point but he's at 5/2/2 and my gut tells me I want at least one more black before doing so. My 2*s are Ares, OBW, 2*Cap, Magneto, CStorm, Thor, and Awolvie at 94, MHawks at 41, and MsM at 31. I have three 1*s around for when they're needed - Storm and Juggs at full, MBW at 25 because her Aggressive Recon at more than 2 sucks.

I'll probably ditch 2* Cap at some point - LCap is one of my 153 3*s and he's maxed covers so I only need 2* Cap for Heroics. I may also take out one or two of the 1*s, but I haven't decided yet - definitely keeping at least one for BoP and Combined Arms.

I've bought HP several times, mostly during sales. I don't see dumping $20 into the game every few months as unreasonable. I do think the sliding cost of roster slots is too much - I really don't like the thought of spending $10 of hero points for a single slot.

I'm 120 days in with 48 slots at the moment. I'm missing Daredevil, Thoress and IW, plus I cut all the 1*s except for IM35 and Juggs for lending. The only cash I've spent was on a Logan's Loonies once in each of the two previous hp sales. I'm working a mostly maxed 2* roster while I gather covers and ISO to catapult well into the 3* mix.

More than being a collector, I tend to be a tuner, so I work over just about every character in my collection as soon as I can. While I'm not a huge Moonstone fan, for example, I was able to use her in a couple of the recent PvE events to squeeze out more points while my main rosters heal, which put me into the top 50 instead of just the top 100. I figure anyone who lets me squeeze out more ISO and hp for minimal effort deserves a place at the table

As they continue to add more characters to the game, I'll keep expanding. While I would definitely like to start building duplicates, realistically it will be a while before I can start doing that. Overall though, I don't think that there is a realistic limit to having "too many slots". As long as you're not having a negative impact on your life or those around you, go for it.

Closing in on Day250, with 50 slots. All 46 2,3,4 stars plus Juggs and Storm from 1 star land and a pair of 3/0/0 oBW for TeamUps. Additionally, sitting on Mystique and LadyThor, but will likely only be able to buy one slot for them, as it has been a negative HP season (too many new releases)

I don't really see myself starting duplicates of characters. I can see the benefit of having some (basically less reliance on health packs) but I don't think it's worth the investment for me. I'd prefer just having a single decently leveled copy of every character. The only time I really find myself having an issue with health packs is during Heroic PvEs

I'm at 55 with one of each. I can't see starting doubles short-term, but I could definitely see it long-term, but only if something were done about slot costs. I'm paying 700 per slot right now, and they're simply too expensive to even consider duplicates at this point.

I have 56, I don't have every character (missing only a few 1*) but a few doubles of 3* heroes which I send to the alliance when someone sends a teamup request...

How many slots is too much is kinda subjective... Given the way the game is has gone if you have more than half the available roster of heroes as doubles, then that would probably be too much in my view so around 70-80 right now

I am at day 294. I have 57 slots right now, one of each and two level 15 300 OBWs I send off to alliance teammates. If they crank out another couple of characters 1* Hawkeye and 1* Yelena will be the first to go.

I might think about making another team-up slot, but I certainly wouldn't double up any character that I would actually use, as ISO is my limiting factor, and I like leveling up characters.

I'm at day 260, just bought slot 41 and slot 42 for Mystique and Lady Thor. I have all the 3*'s, all 4*'s, some of the 2*'s (I cleared a lot of the dead weight once I started 3* land), and 1* Juggernaut. I have no dupes and no intention of getting them. I'm still trying to get enough ISO to level 2-3 of my max covered 3*'s that have zero ISO invested.. Hopefully they slow down the new character rotation and start giving some love to the existing ones

Btw, just to add to this - I did have more of the 2*s but have been clearing them out one at a time. My 2* HT was the first to go - his 3* Counterpart is one of my 153s. I started Daken twice, but never had the Iso to spare to bring him up, and now I have a 3* Daken so that's out. I recently replaced Moonstone with Ms. Marvel - I never leveled her past 50 (she's featured so rarely, and never is in the heroics,) and it seemed appropriate.

I'm on day 384 even though I started playing before the Daily Rewards were introduced. I currently have 55 slots which is almost 1 for each character. (I did not earn any Mystique covers, so I'm using one of them for a dupe OBW.)

Just a little side note: In the game's early days, the Rewards Cache had not been implemented, meaning that any new characters that you earned while not having an available slot were permanently lost. Because of that, I got into the habit of always having TWO empty slots. The first one for a new character, the second in case a new character was added before I could gather enough HP for the next slot. This was working well enough up until this last month. For the longest time, I had never seen the Roster cards turn yellow. At the end of the season, they've finally turned red.

Novelty/rarity. I ended up getting 3/6/6 Dino from Anniversary, and figured that his covers probably weren't going to be released into general circulation for a long while, so I might as well keep them. I also have no plans to level my duplicate XF, but eh, who knows?

Ended up buying two slots for Mystique & GT.
