Well I beat everything apart from the Blade mandatory stuff after spending 225 hp on shields and I still not managing to make the top 100 for the cover.

I only have one maxed character in Grey Widow with most of my rest being three stars barely better than twos which made that third node from the end with LThor, Deadpool and Grey Widow an absolute unending nightmare. Think it took me at least thirty attempts, and possibly even more to get the win with my Ares, lvl 78 six cover Darken, and lvl 127 five cover Devil Dinosaur. Hardest thing I've had to do in this game.

    Shields?

I believe he is saying he got 3 shields in pvp and still doesn't have a Blade cover to do the essentials.

Yeah, a three and an eight hour one. Managed to get to 650 which is normally good enough for a top 50 in any normal pvp and ended up 116th, so no Blade to do the mandatory nodes for me.
  • And done. Much easier than the last one. Never had to boost. A+ D3.

Beat every node I was allowed to. But no Blade means leaving a lot on the table, and the best cover rewards were impossible to get.
  • Simulation 41 and 42 was crazy, I to use deadpool to get through them. I came in 12th place in bracket.
  • I really enjoyed this gauntlet as well. Kudos to D3 for running the Blade PVP reward at the same time to get the cover since I missed him in the original PVE. I would have been bummed to not be able to max out the second two nodes.

Finally beat the gauntlet after getting my blade rewards icon_e_smile.gif

I having some fun in going back to farm the TU. Been beating up on the triple thor trouble (last node), and it was challenging BUT stress free cos no worry about placing.

But I haven't gotten any Lthor or thoress team up yet.

I.got a lvl 300+ fury yellow though. That should be interesting on the strength.

Great Gauntlet, difficulty was a little bit down from the first one, and I think now it is spot on.

    My favourite event by far.

I think D3 just needs to add a 4 * reward for completing everything (maybe adding a special super difficult node for this reward), and eliminate once and for all the 20 iso reward when you fight an already beaten node, you should always get one of the node rewards, and when there is none left, the node should close. With these little changes I think The Gauntle could be THE EVENT icon_razz.gif

But then how would I prologue heal Patch and Daken when I am out of healthpacks and need to get in another fight or two? Plus how would I easily gather Deadpool points for my lousy 5 cover version?

I beat it a couple days ago, much to my surprise, and had a great time doing it! I finished 81, 86 and 95. I have a strictly 2* roster atm with 9 maxed heroes, so the last sub was brutal. I was totally disheartened with the Simulation 41 node (the dreaded Sentry/Hood/Hulk node). I lost to it 9x, sometimes due to my ineptitude and sometimes due to amazing cascades for the AI. My favorite was losing on the AI's second turn one time...it seemed like the board ran for 5 min with matches icon_eek.gif

All that said, I wiped the four nodes after that on the first try, so I'm stoked. Gauntlet 1.0 was a crash and burn after 6 nodes, so I'm much happier with this outcome! I'm looking forward to more of these in the future icon_e_biggrin.gif Oh, and a special shoutout to my alliance King Slim, whose tips helped me make it through soooo many of the deadly nodes. THANKS!
  • Left the 6 essentials in the first and 3 in the last group to try and fool D3 that the gauntlet is still too hard and they need to make it easier icon_twisted.gif Or was it I did not want yet another 500 ISO sorry BP cover.

Did not use a single boost/TU this time around. Finish 1st in Alpine Tactics without even trying and still 25th in Global Domination even though 3 nodes sit undone. I am 547 in Wilderness survival which has got to be the first time in 9 months I not finished in the top half of a PvE event.

However I do really love the gauntlet since I can get the rewards I want with less time that I put into any PvE sub.

Just finished Sim 42, Essential 18 remaining
Happy I was able to complete the event this time around. Last time I couldn't even finish the first set since had just started playing and due to a lucky icon_nickfury.png draw the scaling out paced my star.png roster very early

I was talking in the Gauntlet nodes. You can do that in the single player nodes.
  • Finished all 42 + Essentials last night. Actually needed the blackflag.png Cap'n Marvel and blueflag.png Panther, so I was pushing hard to finish.

Even with the few 3* that I have been leveling of late, my MVPs were oBW, CStorm, MNMag and MHawk. Without them, I probably wouldn't have made it past half the levels, especially in the later rounds. One use 1 mega-whales, and that wasn't until 42.
  • Just finished after losing my mind on the last node (thor, thor, rag) and bought some health packs and boosts with hero points. =x

So now I get a terrible BP cover, but I don't mind. I earned that terrible cover, and I will cherish it.

Yesssss, I beat the Gauntlet! Hardest node for me was Sim40 (GSBW, LThor, DP), and it was mostly smooth sailing for me after that. I may go back for rewards if I have time.
  • I had to drop some Whales at the end (been hording my Deadpool Points), but overall it was a nice challenge.

I beat it yesterday morning. Didn't really do any farming as I've been playing "The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth".

I am through with the 42 (Whales on 41 and 42) but am saving 1 essential node on each until the last 3 hours. Running an experiment to see how many people finish in each of my brackets.

So as promised, my experiment. I started the three events with 5d11h, 5d1h, and 4d1h remaining, so time should not have been a limiting factor in completion. Only scaling challenges and lack of essential characters.

Event 1 - 396th, considering how many people were missing Blade and the fact that Ares was the final reward, not a shock that 60% did not finish.
    Event 2 - 356th
    Event 3 - 191st

Based on those numbers only 2.7% of the entrants completed all 60 nodes of the Gauntlet. (Of course that calculation assumes that only those that completed all 20 nodes advanced to the next round which is not the case. Assuming an additional 30%/20% cleared the 14 nodes to advance - 10% missing Blade, 20% not wanting Ares/10% not wanting Daken covers. That would mean that only 1.9% of the initial participants completed all 60 nodes)

So, for those of us that beat all 60 nodes, we are in top 2% of the Gauntlet player base. Based on the feedback and comments on the forum, you would guess that percentage to be much higher. Another example of the forum members being on the higher end of the overall player base.
