I beat The Gauntlet 2.0 thread

For those that have beat The Gauntlet, anyone going back for team ups or standard prizes (standard tokens/iso/boosts)? I was ranked 28, 17, 35. Worldrunner2.0 was the #1 in each bracket. With Cap Marvel PVP not ending til tomorrow night, might go back thru to get my MPQ fix. The thought of 20 ISO for clearing a node kinda turns me off doing it, but I don't need the characters or healthpacks for anything right now. And I like to see those green check marks beside the nodes. Highly doubt I'll have any sub that has all green check marks, but I will have some nodes that have them.

I finished my brackets in 4th, 1st, and 2nd, and had a lot of fun playing them. I may go back at some point if I've got free time, and possibly try and grab some of the 500 prizes from the 2nd and 3rd, and standard from the 1st sub, but farming Team-ups doesn't really appeal to me. I still have a bunch of 395 skills from the first running of The Gauntlet which I don't use, so I'm not about to try to farm other skills to not use when they've only got a 20% shot of dropping.

I've defeated it. Feel like this was a bit easier than last time, but might be because I have better characters this go around. Only two really tough clears, the rest was just let XForce/LCap/Hood generate loads of AP and then shield whip the AI to death.

I have beaten it. Didn't have to boost any of them, but I did use my Deadpool get out of jail free card on the Sentry/Hood/Hulk node. I got stuck halfway through the last path in the last Gauntlet, what a difference a maxed hood makes.

Finally beat it, but had to cheese really hard with OBW, always having purple on lock. Don't know how you guys are destroying this thing; I had to boost, team up and spend all health packs. Only max level I had was Cap, but once you get the red/blue cycle going, he's hard to stop.

I was able to take down this node using L Daken + Falcon + X-Force... even Hulk succumbed quickly to my 1.5k-1.7k match damage.

I had to use Whales on the Fury + Goddess Thor + Devil Dino since they are all Lvl 395

Cleared it same like last time, half with oBW/Ares/X (convienently upped in levels for this), other with Storm/MNM/X and boosted / . Wasn't half bad although as usual one ai cascade = death. Tried to get some Iso from rerunning nodes but after 1/4 node yielded 20iso 4 times in a row I just gave up. Nice to finally get 'something' moving forward with roster.

I have finally beaten the tinykitten-ing Gauntlet! I know if I had 3*, this would've been an easy fight but without high-covered 3*, I had no choice but to use boosts. Probably won't go back for the other rewards as its not worth my time wasting health packs. Until the next gauntlet...

Beat it. thank D3 for not making it as hard as last time. Sentry, Hulk, and Hood is tinykitty though.

Really struggled last time out, this one was much more forgiving. Last two nodes I seriously boosted match damage which made Black Widow both a life saver and match winner. Now to try to farm team ups for the next couple of days. Going to save that level 200 Thunderous Clap I now have for a while!

Really? Because I'm finding it a lot harder.
Damn thing *started* me on level 100 enemies. Got to the first part of the third area and I'm dealing with a level 170 Thor. Got a massive cascade full of greens and just wiped me out.

Thinking of skipping the last branch on the middle area because that damn wolverine, hulk, cap node kicks my butt every time.

I have completed both Gauntlets now. I found the first one more difficult but I have maxed Steve Rogers since then who just sorta tore through the competition.

Between the two gauntlets I've got myself a nice little "trophy case" of TU now. Last one was much easier to farm TU but got some good ones from this one. Really like the 4* Thor ones. I almost kept the 395 "Prehistoric Arms" one as a joke since I'm not going to use them anyway.

Nice collection. It's easier for you to get 395 Team Ups because you face a lot more 395 enemies, which makes it harder for you. I made the mistake of going into some of the later rounds without checking how many teamups I had. It hurt, when I was on one of the last essentials, and the "You would've gotten a teamup..." screen popped up. Haven't really gone thru to farm for team ups, but that's because I've tried and successfully had a social life this weekend and caught up on sleep due to finishing the Gauntlet and not needing to grind every 2.5 hrs. Thank you The Gauntlet.

As you can see, I was in no hurry. I took everyone's advice and WHALES the Rags/Thor/Thor node. I didn't want to overstay my welcome there.

was able to finally finish everything after I got my blade cover from PvP.

the thor/lady thor/rag node I used 3* cap and OBW with red/yellow/purple/blue +3 just to be safe. was slow but had complete control over them between AR steals, peacemaker/PM protect tiles and even sentinel of liberty came out twice. kill order was 4* thor --> 3* thor --> rag and all they ever got off was 1 thunderclap and 2 godlike power.

not even lvl 212 thors can stand up to the might of the shield toss of justice.

I am through with the 42 (Whales on 41 and 42) but am saving 1 essential node on each until the last 3 hours. Running an experiment to see how many people finish in each of my brackets.

Gauntlet as a fun event regardless of rewards

This pve is/was fantastic test of creativity. My goal this time was to completely beat the Gauntlet without boosts. Almost done - just a few required nodes left but I have to say being able to do a fight here and a fight there with no real time constraint is amazing.

Please more of this scoring format for future pve events instead of the last few hours beating the same **** 20 times over

I enjoyed this gauntlet. Sentry,Hulk,Hood were by far the toughest. Now it's time for TU collecting!

Well I beat everything apart from the Blade mandatory stuff after spending 225 hp on shields on the pvp and I still did not manage to make the top 100 for the cover.

I only have one maxed character in Grey Widow with most of my rest being three stars barely better than twos which made that third node from the end with LThor, Deadpool and Grey Widow an absolute unending nightmare. Think it took me at least thirty attempts, and possibly even more to get the win with my Ares, lvl 78 six cover Darken, and lvl 127 five cover Devil Dinosaur. Hardest thing I've had to do in this game.
