Happy about rewards - especially with being the alliance reward so I can re-spec to 3-5-5...

Would love to grab that too, but I don't normally achieve 1600 with regularity......

So once I get my daily reward for next Monday, I'll have a 5/0/5 Hood. I'm just never going to get that blue, am I.

Ha, knew it. With the sale and extra shields I needed for the anniversary push, i had some extra HP lying around, so I decided to finish off my Hood (needed 1 blue). Just knew he'd be featured shortly thereafter.

Brightside, I can decide whether or not to respec to 3/5/5. (current 5/5/3)

If you're Sentry-bombing you want 355. Anything less than 5 black means higher chance of needing an extra turn to kill.

I don't need Hood, so I think I'm going to try X-Force/Hood with Shulkie (It's got everything but purple, so it counts as a rainbow team now) and try no shields again on this one. I think I got a net of 150-200 points off of X-Force/Hood on defense on the last one.

5 yellow is much more versatile. Besides, wasn't Sentry announced to be funbalanced soon at the NY Comic Con?
Respeccing just for one character? What about the rest of your roster? cMagneto, X-Force, Patch, lazy Cap, Goddess (soon...), Nick Fury, Deadpool, Punisher, Captain Marvel all like 5 yellow in Hood since they lack active yellows themselves or their yellows are inferior or they benefit a lot from tile destruction/AP gain.
I know that Sentry is a/the top dog of Versus at the moment, and Versus is where the covers are, but I have been hopping just fine with 3 black. And as it has been mentioned by others, a Symbiote Snare Team-Up (farmable in Prologue, 7 TUAP, AoE stun) lets you preserve Sacrifice just as well.

I've been fine with 3 also. My biggest concern is that I feel like Hood's yellow doesn't get launched much, even with other partners, as 15AP is a bunch to acquire. Even if it does accumulate, games' mostly over anyway.

I'll probably just build a 2nd Hood 3/5/5. If the meta changes, I can always re-spec that one.

I've used Hood's yellow as an emergency bad tile destroyer more than once - and at anything less than 5 covers, using the yellow skill is gambling that you aren't setting something up for the other team. It's not a skill I use a ton - I'll frequently have a better, cheaper yellow - but a single cast has also single-handedly saved matches, by taking out a few bad tiles and getting enough AP to cast a game-winning skill.

Black 5 makes sense for Sentrybombing, and pretty much nothing else, and I simply don't do that that often. Didn't do it a single time in the last PVP, can't imagine that I'll do it in the current one.

Also, looking far in the future, 5 yellow will make a fine power combo with 4* Thor.

And now coming out of the court room to dispense justice in the most balanced fair way possible SHE_HULK!!!!! While I look at She Hulks cover she reminds me of a model from dancing with the stars so let’s do an all musical addition of teammates to bring to the battle of justice so you too can win many Hood covers!!

#1 Hulkamania!!!-“I want to be a real American, fight for your right…” wait wrong Hulk but never the less let’s Partner up Hulk with She-Hulk. Since Cap is busy in PVE I would also recommend LThor. You have 3 tanks ready to take a beating and 2 solid AOE abilities!!

#2 Rum shaker-“Check baby, check baby, check 1,2” Let’s shake up the board since She-Hulk gets decent cascades with her Power of Attorney let’s bring along players who destroy tiles. X-Force and Storm. She-Hulk , X-Force , and Storms . Let the cascades begin!! Yes this is the only combo that will give a board shake up with distinctive colors that I could see. The only problem with this team is that Storm covers the same colors as X-Force and oh boy does her abilities suck compared to his. Let’s fix this and just bring Hood instead.

#3 Single ladies: “Cause if you like it you should have put a ring on it” Yes these 3 ladies will not only beat you down but they will look good doing it. Let’s bring along Captain Marvel and GSBW!! Captain Marvel and She-Hulk can tank for some of GSBW colors and Captain Marvel can fuel you red while GSBW feeds her own green.

#4 The Blues : Sorry I got nothing for song lyrics, but if you want to use She-Hulk’s blue ability and tip the scales you might as well bring along Daken and Cmags. Yes I said tip the scales, but it might not be in your favor, but if you want to tip the scales you might at least have something to tip!! Also Daken and Cmags both have blue abilities better than She-Hulk to talk you out of using her power!!!

Cripes. I need one more She-Hulk red to finish her, and Fury Blue and Xforce black are both covers I sorely need, so I would be willing to go all-out here if I had a chance

Unfortunately, first in my bracket is ALREADY at 1700 and top10 is full of heavy hitting alliances. Even 1300 will be tough with my underleveled Shulk

Nobody cares about the level of your Shulk, unless she's maxed - and not even that matters unless her red somehow manages to wipe your sacrifice tile.

Xfood until shield range, Sentry bomb after, 1300 should be a cinch with the usual Scores from Xmen, Raiders and the rest.

I'm struggling in this event. Really need some Hood covers to step my roster up to the next level, but my level 66, 5/2/2 She-Hulk isn't doing me any favors. I have plenty of iso and leveling her to 114 wouldnt be a problem. Just don't know if that's with it though.

Also, I'm not even sure who to partner her with. My heaviest hitters (L.Thor & Mr. Rogers) are occupied in PvE (I'll finishe top 5 for sure if I keep at it). I feel most everyone else I have are still 1 or 2 covers away from being reliable to me.

Advice or opinions?

Unless you're competing for top 2 in PvE I'd take my foot off the gas there. You get the same prize for coming in third that you do for coming in 20th, and the prize isn't even that good - Ms. Marvel is a middling 2* and the "best" reward is her **** red power.

Are you prioritizing a 2* that will be easily available once she hits the versus random drop rewards (same as Torchling) over the Hood?
Fo shame.
Just get one cover in PvE and don't worry about Miss Marvel more than she deserves.

I was going to ignore the PvE but got into a crazy bracket where no one else seems to be playing - I'm ranked #5 despite only playing it once in the past 12 hours. I guess everyone else is going for Hood too.

I guess the point is probably mute anyway as I don't need another blue cover. My Hood is already 2/5/3. Since I have no chance at a yellow reward I only need to place top 100 for a single cover. Figured blue would have been the top reward.

jeez. the difference that a shield makes. i've seen slarti from chaos league in my bracket fall from around 1200 on the cusp of 1300 all the way down to mid 700s. i'm guessing that slarti's shield expired and that s/he forgot to re-shield. sucks!

why are there such crazy high scores for this?? i've got two 1700s and a 1900 queued up and there's still a whole day left! definitely thankful for the high scores but still, i dont get it...the rewards arent spectacular and anyone scoring that high already has a max hood...

on another note...shield hopped and won 4 matches without getting hit!
