But if you had one ability and bought four covers, you could not level him beyond the soft cap so he (she?) would still be lousy.
I'm sorry, but a soft capped 4 with 5 covers in one powerful skill would probably be a destroyer. Just look at s You get 5 covers in that and you insta-kill anybody. Even soft capped.0 -

Devil-Bag. I like the ring to it.

ICEIX said that the Dino that we have seen before is a different version from the one being released. This one will have different powers. Dino Classic and Dino Gigantic Reptile. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=17212#p229584
Thats all he said so I don't know what those powers will be.
But, come on people, relax. There is no reason to complain yet. The anniversary events haven't even started yet. And for all we know, the new 4 Dino could be a pretty decent character. I know they said he would be more of a trophy character than a dominating Sentry type. But there are a lot of 2 s that are not powerful yet still very useful. He might turn out to be really fun too. We won't know until next week, so I really don't understand why so many people are complaining about it now.0 -
Spoit wrote:That doesn't follow though, since that's a 1* with it's attendant massive pve scaling, whereas this would be a 4*, where you still get a pretty good % of the final power in the mid-hundreds
I'm pretty sure they already changed him to 4* in all the recent PvE events and he just had P2W level stats for a 4* to ensure he's still deadly. It's not exactly a big deal to have P2W stats on a character that was never intended to be used by a player.0 -
I am excited but I hold myself back until the events start.
Please D3, before we start the Anniversary week, take into consideration the lines below:
1. I hope Devil Dino will not be essential in everything and ruin the events (Being he is temporary, I don't really want to throw money in him).
2. Do not have 6 essential characters for the PVE events. Buff every single character so that everyone has a chance at these rewards.
3. Increase the rewards given in normal events. Maybe double them here? (Some more HP for the slots would be more than welcome).
4. If you keep rank rewards for PVE, make them a bit more generous. After all, it is an anniversary party, we are supposed to have fun in it.
5. Thank you for the new characters. Please help me recruit them in some way. Players that are still expanding their roster should not feel pressured or left out of this because of roster space. Just sayin'.
I know there is a financial aspect to everything. But, this is your Anniversary party. This is the day to lure in new players and give older ones a reason to stick around.
Fingers crossed everyone!0 -

Dear Okin-
Thank you for being a loyal MPQ player that cares enough about our product to take time out of your day to offer suggestions on how to improve the way we do things. We love these suggestions from our player base; after all, it is you that pays our salaries and keeps the game afloat.
We will put some legitimate thought into your suggestions, and into the suggestions of others, and do our best to implement them in a timely manner, and in a way that is best for the game and everyone involved.
Sincerely,
No one at D3, ever0 -
One thing no one has mentioned is that we will be able to play Lady Thor in the lightning rounds. I hope they give us all 3 covers as a special treat to really try her out compared to the 1 loan cover. It is hard to determine how a character plays off of 1 cover so please D3 since this is a special lighting round Max her out for us!!!0

Yes and yes...oh, also yes!! In fact, they should give us 5 covers for each ability!! Why not be able to see what each maxed skill is really going to be like rather than just guess??? Bring on Goddess of Thunder!!!0 -

OP simply wanted loaner ladythor to come with covers in each color so that we can see how she actually plays (since a 1 cover loaner is functionally useless for figuring out how she plays out. I don't really see how this is begging, as it's a pretty reasonable request.0 -
Yeah, a "test drive" PvP where nobody in the entire game has the actual character should absolutely use at least a 1/1/1 loaner. Playing with a dead weight "featured character" is no fun.0
-
I always thought the loaner should come with 5/5/5 so that people who don't study game balance as a living would at least have an idea of what that character could do if they actually went out and maxed him/her out. The hero can still be at a low level to ensure he's not overpowering, and if there's a hero that's way overpowered at 5/5/5 despite being at a base level for that tier perhaps that says something about how messed up the character is. For example a 5/5/5 The Hood would be pretty scary at level 40 as a loaner, but that should tell you something about where he stands relative to other characters.0

I kinda thought 4/4/4. That way you are still in wonder about that 5th cover so it still entices you to try to experiment on your own. But I do like the all 5s for a loaner. Would make figuring out a character much easier and thus much more likely to know how you personally want to level that person. Hell, it might push some people into buying that 5th cover when they get close.0 -

It depends on the character but for some character the 5th cover is game changing, and I thought the point of these event is supposed to be "check out XYZ and buy his packs because he's powerful!" The Hood is an example where you really need 5/5/5 to see how all his abilities interact, and although this is one of the most powerful character in the game, it sure won't be obvious to the average person why he's strong if they only play with a 1/0/0 loaner. To be fair the vast majority of the characters are just 'moar damage' type so 4/4/4 would be sufficient as a showcase in general.0 -
To be fair, you could probably give The Hood 0/5/0 and he'd still serve 80-90% of the same purpose.
On the topic of rewards, the "small token of our appreciation we'd like to give you, just for stopping by" seems to be a step in the right direction. Here's hoping it's not 500 ISO.0 -

Virtual Cake!! And we can have all the drinks we want as long as we take it from our own fridge!!
I think we will get daily rewards for the week long celebration so a double daily rewards. It might also be a aniversary token where you can get a random gift each day. ISO chances 100 iso-1000, 2-4* covers, AP boosts to all.0 -

Comments like this make plenty of sense.
I'm getting so tired of people complaining about the anniversary celebration before we even know what's going to happen.0
