Hey everyone,

Another new poll is up on the Marvel Puzzle Quest Facebook page and we'd love to have your votes included. The topic is favorite events.

You can find the poll here: https://www.facebook.com/MarvelPuzzleQu ... 88b73ed9fe

"We are about to celebrate the 1-year anniversary of the launch of Marvel Puzzle Quest and we want to know what your favorite Marvel Puzzle Quest event is. Vote for your favorite event and starting on October 10th, we will showcase it in the game. The results of the poll will be shared on September 19th. Stay tuned this week to vote for your favorite versus tournament."

My favorite events are the new events, not the reruns.
  • is an iOS HP sale considered an event? =)

My favorite events were the pve's where you actually netted + iso for the whole thing, including the 10k and 5k iso nodes in the subs. Those were the days . . .

I don't see an option there for a new event which is what I would like to see for the 1 year anniversary. Rather then another run of one of the past events.

Can you add that as an option or a write in?

I voted for Thick as Thieves because that's everyone's favorite ever.

    Come at me, bro.

    I actually voted for Simulator.

If you'd like to do something new, quickly ...

    Invert the Prologue

Tell it from the Osborne point of view. You'll need to put in new lines for Osborne and his support, but much of the dialog can stay the same.
The game is seriously Hero heavy. Most MPQ players have played against Juggs/Moonstone/Daken/Bullseye/Venom way too many times. A repeat would just repeat those overused battles. Most of those battles have hero discussion. Put the heros in the nodes as the opponents.

Many of the events could be inverted.

Seriously? Your big idea is just a rehash of a previous event? You seriously couldn't come up with something new? I know you guys have a small development team but maybe its time to hire a few new people. This game has gotten stagnant and releasing new mediocre characters just isn't cutting the mustard anymore. Was really hoping for something special for the one year anniversary. What a serious disappointment. icon_e_sad.gificon_e_sad.gificon_e_sad.gif
  • I voted for Deadpool, as the newest event created, maybe that will send the message we want to send? Or maybe they will just rerun Deadpool more which would be fine with me.
  • For those of us who don't support the facebook empire, is there a way for us to vote in a poll too? Maybe like, I don't know, right here, on a forum post?

The devs give players a voice and ask for favorite events and a majority of folks immediately start complaining. icon_rolleyes.gif

I like the Hulk event myself. Deadpool was a lot of fun too.

I think the anniversary PVE would be the perfect time to test out putting the covers as progression rewards. I think the other progression and node rewards should all be amazing as well. If you can't celebrate on the anniversary, when can you? Maybe put event tokens in the nodes and no iso rewards below 200. (I had an idea while I was writing the second part. Put 3* covers in the nodes.)

If you release a new hero with the event the only thing people care about is the cover. While ISO and HP are a welcomed plus it's the covers that are rare. I wasn't around for when Ares/Patches was released. I heard it rained covers for days...DAYS! Maybe give out covers like that event as sort of a flashback even if its a different event all together.

Or even quicker just re-run Prodigal Sun which mostly did that.

Of course in reality you should re-run ISO-8 Brotherhood I love that one.

I'm hoping the reason they're taking so long to re-run Prodigal Sun when everything else has been trotted out is because they're planning for it to lead directly into Siege.

    I can hope...

As far I've noticed every event that was re-run that was once someone's "favorite" event, got completely tainted and said person has ended up hating that event.
Leveling scaling hasn't really helped and I'm pretty sure a majority of forum users used to love PvE but now actually loathe it.

I'm surprised at how long it takes the dev team to do anything despite the size of their team.
Over 2 months to fix collecting TU AP to work properly - has that patch even been introduced yet?
Over a month to add a delete button for TU's.
It's been almost half a year a PvE scaling is still atrocious.
A year has passed and they continue to show no interest in player retention for players reaching the end game.

It's been a year! A new game mode would be nice.

Nice idea.... not voting as their is no option for "New Event".
  • I enjoy all PvEs that offer unusual opponents (meaning: not endless nodes of 2* Daken, Yelena, Bullseye etc) and don't force you to play every node every 2,5 hours.
I loved the Deadpool event and happily jumped into the re-run already. icon_deadpool.png I also liked Prodigal Sun. icon_sentry.png Sim is fun too, for me.

I like PvP on general principle, but it could do with some tweaking. It's been discussed so many times that I'll simply point to the rest of the forum.

Just to confirm in case people are wondering (and comments in this thread appear to be the case): This isn't it or all we're planning for the Anniversary. It's just one component that we'd like direct player feedback/voting on.

Out of curiosity, what is the actual date for mpq anniversary?
  • One thing i would like to see most is for d3 to stop making 2* character draw rates boosted in event coupon packs!!! Seriously, you guys already mentioned it was harder to pull 3*'s as it is, so why boost 2* draw rates when they are already so easy to come by most of the time through regular playing...

The actual "Happy Birthday!" date is October 3rd. As for when Anniversary stuff happens, I'm not allowed to say yet as all that info is going out via more traditional PR means.
