So Sentry and Ares walk into a bar...

They start complaining they were legit Avengers, but didn't get invited to the rad new party at the mansion. Suddenly everyone starts yelling at Ares and throwing foam footballs at Sentry....

Not real sure where I'm going with this but the point is valid, they should be included in the Earth's Mightiest rosters. I need sleep.

  • 100% agree Sir. Especially they even used the word "Mighty"

  • Technically I agree with you both, they're avengers.

But who seriously wants to play against boosted Sentry?! Not me

I don't particularly want to play against boosted gold Cap and Thor either...

Edit: Please don't take how uncomfortablely close that was to mentioning Booster Gold the wrong way.

MPQ has some pretty interesting definitions of heroes and villains, so I guess their definition of who have been in the Avengers is pretty weird.

I'm more curious to know if there's a legit explanation as to why the versions of Wolverine that can fully heal aren't included...

It's a shame, he actually starts speaking and still doesn't get invited...
  • You think that's bad? **** Wolverine. He's a founding member! icon_evil.gif
  • Wolverines got an invite. Just one. The other Wolverines got invited to one of his other 52 team parties. What variation of the Avengers did he help found?

New Avengers I believe. That was when Spidey was entered in.

    Correct.
Presumably this is a previously unseen Earth in the Marvel Multiverse. Nick Fury is the Ultimate version, but many of the events of 616 have happened. And AFAIK, Iso-8 is unique to this Earth.
  • That's right. Those were good stories too. Can't believe I forgot those.
  • Is there nothing people won't complain about?

I didn't see this as a complaint so much as a joking way of commenting on the seeming arbitrary definition D3 has applied for "Avenger".

The irony is increased when they add in "Mighty" and at least 2 of that subset are excluded from the scope of the event.

In this case, I think you are seeing redtile.png when there is only icon_question.gif .

Not entirely. He's still Nick Fury Jr. which is in the 616 continuity now. The problem is that you wouldn't know its Jr. until you read his description. ISO-8 has been appearing since Avenger's Alliance and has since gone on to be seen in other games as well. I also wouldn't say "Many" in terms of event's as we have no idea if Secret Invasion happened and we've haven't even made it past Dark Reign/Seige. There's a lot of info missing in terms of story content previously or afterwards.

Edit: Also, my thoughts on Beast being featured in this PvP. He is currently featured in the Secret Avenger's book but the focus isn't even on an Avenger's team. That book currently focuses on the Illuminati. I don't think they have referred to themselves as Avenger's the entire run thus far. It's kind of a technicality thing. Doubt Beast would ever want to be on the Avengers.

Considering he was one in the 80's I doubt you are correct.

._. I have no knowledge of the 80s. Just stuff from Civil War on up in terms of comics. Anything before then is exclusively Fantastic Four related.

Edit: Also, my statement was based on the current climate on Mutants and Human in the books. Beast hasn't been on an Avenger's team for a long while beforehand.

.... where they proceed to down tons of liquor. Ares though, cant really handle it and worries he needs his stomach pumped. Sentry decides for a more direct approach.....

It had to show up in the thread somewhere....
  • Wrong version of the characters, it says "Dark Avengers" right in their name! Maybe someday we'll get a Mighty Avengers version of Sentry, until then enjoy your break icon_e_smile.gif
