How do you beat this level?

"Who is this clown" at 204. Daken naturally heals around 500 points per round. If you can't match a yellow countdown each **** turn, Lieutenant heals for over a thousand. EACH TURN. Almost none of your roster is available. Match damage is close to 600 per turn, and that's not even getting into constantly having to deal with 3k damage from assault rifle, AP denial, and that stupid cheap-**** massive damage power Anyone have any advice on how to deal with this? And do the developers even play this game? Did they even try to test this level? There's exactly one character available that can make strike tiles (the usual go-to way of dealing with healing) and one who can make attack tiles (the other go-to way of dealing with healing). 2* Daken scaled up to level 200 is completely broken even if you do have access to a decent roster full of 3*s (which I wouldn't anyways, but having a somewhat leveled Psylocke or Patch or even Captain America would go a long way in dealing with this mess). With these restrictions, how do you even stand a chance?

  • In a typical Heroic, the scaling on some of the nodes will eventually hit the point where you're better off skipping them. Otherwise, prepare to burn through a lot of health packs hoping for a lucky board.
  • Scaling is one thing, but this node is basically designed to be completely impossible. All the damage comes from passives and match damage, no matter how much AP you gather, you either have to one-shot Daken or he's just going to heal back up in a few turns, and you have next to no access to useful things like strike or attack tiles.

Last night I found the easiest best way to beat this level (and my scaling had me at 214)...

Step 1: Prepare to use Thor with 1/3 health left, Hulk with 2/3 health, and whoever else has any health left.
Step 2: Hit the arrow button in the left corner prior to starting the match.
Step 3: Exit the game altogether.

Guaranteed never to lose healthpack.pnghealthpack.pnghealthpack.png on that level again!

*goes back to my corner to sob uncontrollably over star.pngstar.png uberDakens and Headbutts galore*
  • In situations like that, if you feel like you have to do the level, the trick is to get enough AP to unleash two or three Thor powers all at once. My Thor's level 150+ the buff, and Green does 6400/3200, Yellow 3500, Red 2000. In theory I can hit Daken for about 12000 damage if I have to. Not sure what your situation is, but that might be your best option. I've had a few matches where I completely ignore damage done and focus on AP collection and denial, and then one-shot the whole enemy team.

Another thing to consider - Falcon and/or OBW can help deal with the Lieutenant's heal, as well as attack tiles, and there's also trying to keep blue off the board so that Daken's regeneration works against him.
  • Find a Deadpool Whale Whale Whale team up
    get 14 TUAP
    use the super version
    $#?@#??

Exactly this. Lthor/OBW/Falcon. Not a guaranteed win by any means, but that's how I did it at daken 208.
  • That's what I'm running. Everything else seems subpar, and I don't really have a leveled 2* Wolvie or 1* Storm any more. But it's just not enough. My thor at level 180 is not enough.

I am able to beat it fairly consistently at level 220ish with max level LT/OBW/Falcon. If you don't have a max LT for this node, you're probably screwed since you need to be able to 2 shot Daken with a thunder strike / CTS combo or else it gets very difficult.
  • You can kill Daken with:

Thunder Strike into Call the Storm
Call the Storm on Daken followed by Mjolinar

Unless the board is very yellow friendly, you need to hold your red because you've to consider the case where you can't cascade into a Call the Storm with Thunder Strike because you can't make too many green matches against Daken early. In the beginning you should be concentrating on getting 5 blue (to activate Redwing) and getting rid of Daken's strike tiles as you reasonably can, and get rid of the Soldier's CDs. Do not worry if the Lieutenant is hitting you with Pistols or healing everyone, because you're not doing much in damage until you collect enough for at least one big move. Unless there's an opportunity to take out a goon for nearly no cost, do not waste your AP consuming moves on them at all because Daken is the real threat. By the way, killing the Lieutenant makes the fight a lot harder because Pistols has priority over Suppressing Fire, which is far more dangerous to you than Pistols. A couple Suppressing Fire going off and you can forget ever killing Daken.

The Deadpool Whales TU is a good option.

I just beat it L211 goons with LThor (full covers L240 @ 3/5/5), OBW and Falcon (full covers L120 @ 5/5/3) and went in with full yellowtile.pngredtile.png boosts, greentile.pngblacktile.png boosts and 1 stockpile. The key was indeed to 1 shot Daken. Pound down that annoying Lieutenant, when you have CotS and Thunder Strike ready target Daken and down him.

Kill the Lieutenant first has been the way I've dealt with it. Once he's dead, it becomes more managable. Been using Thor-Falcon-OBW to deal with it.

This what I've been doing. The Lt. goes first in most every node I see him in. Then use one of the Devil Dino TU I saved. Unfortunately, I only have 3 left, but they are all 3 around lv 190. Saving those 3 for the final push. I also had my alliance mates send me a bunch of Xforce TU just before he got buffed. Got 4 of those left, 3 black 1 green.
  • In my last clear I ran out of health packs before I could do this one again so I skipped it.
Previously had good luck with LThor/Falcon/OBW, all maxed. Went in with +3 iso boosts for each color had a favorable yellow board and got Thunderstrike off in the first few turns. Felt bad that I boosted since the board just pretty much said "You win!" on it when I opened it up. Falcon's purple and match a few yellows is ridiculously good here, better than OBW stealing AP fairly regularly. Eliminates the bulk of the match damage and buys you enough time to build up to Thor skill spam.

Mine is at lv279, which means Daken does up to 480 in match damage (plus strike tiles), and does up to 6k damage with chemical reaction. In other words, the only way to win is not to play.

Waltzed through it with Hulk, Falcon, Hawkeye. Wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it'd be since Daken is the ONLY character you have to worry about. Now if there was a Pryo or the guy with rockets then I'd have to skip it.

Yeah, I myself used Wolvie + Falcon + OBW. Go for the liutenant first favouring green and blue (until you get 5 blue for Falcon's Redwing) and some red if available. Use Wolvie's green to put some strike tiles then make as many yellow and purple matches as possible, with red on the side. Falcon's yellow make the strike tiles absurd, OBW double dips with the purple and you'll eventually have enough red to almost 1-hit-KO Daken with Adamantium Slash.
  • Mine only got as high as 245 but I didn't have huge issues using OBW/Falcon & a maxed buffed Thor. All match damage goes towards the lieutenant as Daken heals it back anyway, and the moment you can thunderstrike into CTS on Daken that should be the end of him. Boosts obviously help, +2 blue means one blue match and redwing can start working, and the crit one I found to be surprisingly effective.

For me the biggest problem is not winning once, is winning without losing a ton of life. Yes I used LThor, Falcon and OBW, but after just one match it is easy to have all members of the team at 50% of life, and I can't use 3 health pack to heal all three members of the team, so in the end I keep healing just Thor and using Hulk, Wolvie and Hawkeye when any of the other members died, so after some matches the quality of your team keeps getting worse.

The thing is, after CMags nerfing I think levels in PvE have to get lower. Daken + Juggernaut + Lieutenant at level 220+ is too much, even having a 256 LThor. The amount of damage Juggernaut can do with just 6 red, the healing power of the Lieutenant, and the strike tiles is way too much. I think this is going to be a problem in future PvEs .... In my experience Juggernaut is way OP when used by the AI in PvE events.

I did it (at 200 even) with LThor, OBW, Mawkeye and Red/Yellow + All Color AP boosts. Two yellow matches to cast Thunder Strike, turning every purple tile on the board into a 1300 damage cd (plus the damage from the boosted Thunder Strike). CotS, then stay alive for 2 turns til the purples go off to finish up.

This happens to everyone, though I think it got high anyway because it got to a point where you should at least use all iso 8 boost every fight which brings scaling up again.
